I Married the Wrong Mafia Prince

Chapter 18: Something What?

Chapter 18: Something What?

I woke up with a start, my breath catching in my throat. My eyes immediately went to the side of the bed where I had expected Elio to be one day. But instead, I was met with the sight of Leandro, his dark hair mussed from sleep, his body sprawled out next to mine.

I froze, panic coursing through my veins. I tried to recall the events of the night before, but it all felt like a blur — the chaos, the anger, the passion, and everything in between. But now, with him beside me, it hit me all at once.

What the hell had I done?

I was supposed to be in control of my life. Yet here I was, tangled in this mess, caught between my family's expectations and Leandro's unpredictable pull.

Leandro stirred beside me, his eyes opening slowly, and then he flashed a half-smile, as if nothing had changed. As if this wasn’t some messed-up situation that I didn’t know how to handle.

“Good morning,” he said, his voice low and lazy, the hint of a smirk on his lips.

I stared at him in disbelief. “What the hell are you doing here?” I asked, sitting up abruptly. My heart was still racing, but I was trying to keep it together. The fact that he was here — in my bed — still didn’t feel real.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he said with that same cool confidence of his. “I’m staying right here, hiding like your dirty little secret.” He didn’t even seem fazed by the absurdity of it. I was the one who was losing my mind.

I couldn’t believe it. “You’re not serious,” I muttered, running a hand through my hair. “I have a life to get back to, Leandro. I’m going to my art course today. I’m not spending the whole day here with you.”

He turned to face me, his eyes dark, and his lips quirked into that signature smirk. “You go,” he said, as if he didn’t care about my plans. “I’ll follow you, of course.”

“What about the guards?” I asked, my mind racing. I couldn’t figure out how he was even planning to get out of here, with all the security watching my every move. I couldn’t help but feel like I was trapped in this game of cat and mouse, except now, the stakes were even higher.

“Trust me,” he said, his voice calm and measured, like he was speaking to a child. “I know how to handle this.”

I opened my mouth to protest, but before I could say anything, he gave me a look that silenced me.

“And by the way,” he continued, sitting up and leaning back against the headboard. “Starting from this second you’re my girlfriend now.”

I blinked at him, my heart hammering in my chest. “Excuse me?” I asked, a little too loudly. “No. We’re not—You didn’t even bother to ask me?”

He smirked. “I’m not going to ask you to become my girlfriend, because I know you’ll just rant about it,” he said, his voice light. “But it’s happening, whether you like it or not. I’m claiming you as mine.”

I shook my head, not knowing what to say. This wasn’t real. This couldn’t be real. How could I be his girlfriend after everything? After everything that had happened between us? Elio, my family, the whole mess of lies and secrets that had built up around me?

I opened my mouth to say something, to argue, but before I could, Leandro leaned in, cupping my face gently, and kissed me. It wasn’t like the other kisses we’d shared. There was no anger behind this one. It was a soft, intimate kiss, almost like he was trying to prove something. To me, or maybe even to himself.

I wanted to push him away, but I couldn’t. It felt like everything inside me was fighting to just let go, to give in. But I couldn’t. I couldn’t be that person. I had to stay strong.

He pulled away just as quickly as he’d kissed me, his eyes searching mine. “You don’t get to push me away, Isabella,” he said, his voice quieter, more serious. “I’ve been trying to give you space, but you’re not getting away from me that easily.”

I wanted to argue, to say that I wasn’t his to control. But before I could form the words, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me close again. His hands were warm against my skin, and I could feel the heat of his body against mine, like a fire I couldn’t put out.

Leandro's fingers found the hem of my shirt and slowly pushed it up over my head before casting it aside. His lips trailed a searing path down my neck and collarbone as his hands expertly unclasped my bra and let it fall away.

Leaning back to admire me for a moment, his fingertips traced circles around my nipples before taking them in his mouth one at a time – first gently sucking then lightly biting. He pushed me back onto the bed and started kissing down my stomach until he reached the edge of my panties. He looked up at me with those dark eyes and pulled them off with a slow, deliberate motion, making sure to let his fingers graze my thighs as he did so. He spread my legs wide, and I felt exposed and vulnerable under his steady gaze. But the anticipation was electrifying.

His lips found my clit, that touch sent shivers down my spine. As his tongue flicked against me, I felt my body arch involuntarily, craving more. Sensing my urgency, he slid two fingers inside of me while maintaining the rhythmic pressure on my clit. The mixture of sensations began to overwhelm me. The heat between our bodies grew more intense as we moved together, our breaths coming in short bursts. My hands gripped the sheets tightly as I let out a cry as my orgasm had crashed over me like a tidal wave.

Leandro didn't stop there. He quickly discarded his own clothes and positioned himself above me, our eyes meeting in an unspoken agreement. As he entered me slowly and deliberately, I couldn't help but gasp at the sensation of him filling me completely.

Time seemed to lose all meaning as we made love again and again, until finally, sunlight through the window told us it was time to get up for my art course.

For a moment, I let myself sink into him, into the warmth and the heat of everything he made me feel. But then, just as quickly, the moment was broken.

“I’m going to do something crazy,” he said, his tone shifting, suddenly serious again. “And you’re going to have to prepare yourself.”

I looked at him, my pulse racing. “What do you mean?” I asked, suddenly afraid of what he was hinting at.

“You’ll see, baby” he answered with a smirk, his voice laced with something darker. “But I promise you, it’s going to shake things up.”
