Chapter 61 Teasing
Chapter 61 Teasing
"Yosh! To celebrate Nawaki's successful graduation, we're having barbecue tonight!"
"Put aside those unreliable ideas for now," Tsunade suggested.
"Okay! I want to eat what Minato made!" Nawaki suggested.
"No, let's go to a barbecue restaurant instead?"
Kushina frowned: "Minato works so hard cooking every day, and you, Nawaki, can eat so much..."
"What? I can eat this? Do you want to hear what you're saying?"
Nawaki pointed to himself incredulously: "I must have the smallest appetite in this family, right? Even you can eat more than me!"
Upon hearing this, Kushina puffed up her cheeks. Although she wanted to get angry, she couldn't help but realize that Nawaki was right.
Currently, the biggest eater in the family is Minato. No one knows when it started, but Minato's appetite has increased dramatically in a way that they can't understand.
Minato now could easily eat the combined amount of the three of them in one meal!
Tsunade can use the Hundred Healings Technique to absorb the maximum amount of energy from food and convert it into chakra, keeping her body at its peak at all times, so she has a large appetite.
As a member of the Uzumaki clan, she possesses extraordinary vitality and physical strength, but correspondingly, she also needs more nutrition than others.
Two years ago it was alright, but now her appetite has indeed surpassed that of Rope Tree.
So when Rope Tree said she could eat a lot, she really couldn't argue with it.
"That's why we should eat at the barbecue restaurant! Minato already works so hard cooking so much every day!"
"But I really want to eat what Shuimen makes. Shuimen grills all sorts of things, much more varied than the single grilling method used in barbecue restaurants."
Nawaki complained, "Besides, isn't today to celebrate my graduation? Can't you just do something nice for me?"
"Then let's eat at home."
Minato patted Kushina's head and smiled, "Doesn't that prove that my cooking skills are better than the barbecue restaurants?"
"Uh-huh!"
Rope Tree nodded quickly, his eyes shining.
The dishes at the barbecue restaurant are always the same few things. I wouldn't say I'm tired of them, but they're not exactly new either.
But for Minato, everything can be roasted!
Seeing that Minato had said so, Kushina didn't object anymore. She rubbed her head against Minato's palm. Actually, she preferred the food Minato made.
After buying groceries along the way, everyone returned home, and Minato immediately went into the kitchen to start preparing the food.
Seeing that Kushina and Nawaki had returned to their rooms, Tsunade quietly entered the kitchen, came behind Minato, and gently placed her soft little hands on his shoulders.
The posture was a little ambiguous, but Tsunade seemed not to notice.
"Watergate?"
"What's wrong, teacher?"
Shuimen continued washing vegetables without stopping, seemingly already accustomed to this kind of contact.
"Are you... very interested in Grandpa's necklace?"
Tsunade asked softly, her tone deliberately casual, as if she were probing.
"Um?"
Minato was somewhat surprised. He looked up, only to find his view blocked by a pair of magnificent figures: "Why do you say that, teacher?"
"When I was giving you the rope necklace just now, you seemed a little off."
Tsunade leaned forward, tilting her head to the side, her amber eyes fixed on Minato, her tone slightly teasing: "Are you jealous?"
"I was just thinking about something else. I don't think I'm the kind of kid who likes to fight, do I?"
Minato casually remarked, "Besides, even if I were jealous, I shouldn't be jealous of Nawaki, right?"
Upon hearing this, Tsunade's heart skipped a beat, and she blurted out instinctively, "Then who are you jealous of?"
"Whom do you think I should be jealous of, teacher?"
Minato tossed the question back at him, his tone enigmatic, a half-smile playing on his lips, "Whom does the teacher want me to be jealous of?"
"You brat!"
Tsunade was speechless for a moment, a blush rising to her face. She ruffled the other's blond hair and gritted her teeth in resentment.
She finally realized that the usual physical contact and the subtle, ambiguous understanding between them were not just her own perverted illusions, but also contained elements of deliberate provocation from the other party.
If she harbored ill intentions towards Minato, then judging from Minato's reaction, that brat also had ulterior motives towards his teacher...
This made her happy, but also somewhat embarrassed and annoyed, ashamed that she had been manipulated by her own disciple!
Thinking of this, she grabbed Minato's cheeks with both hands: "Aren't you very smug?"
"Gulp, I don't understand what you're saying," Minato mumbled incoherently.
"Stop playing dumb!" Tsunade snapped, releasing her grip on Minato's cheek and staring intently at him. "Give me a reason!"
"Does the teacher think that you need a reason to like someone?"
Minato rubbed his cheek, seemingly still able to feel the lingering warmth of the other's fingertips.
"unnecessary…"
Tsunade said, then couldn't help but let out a cold laugh: "But liking two people requires it!"
Minato chuckled awkwardly, "This is indeed a headache."
Upon hearing this, Tsunade's eyes narrowed dangerously: "You brat, you actually dare to think that way?"
"It's not a matter of daring or not. If emotions could be controlled, the teacher wouldn't be discussing these things with me. You should understand this better than I do, right?"
Minato said calmly, and Tsunade immediately felt embarrassed that her thoughts had been seen through.
She really wanted to ask the other person what they were planning to do, but because she was afraid of not getting the answer she wanted, she ultimately didn't press the matter.
That night, Tsunade couldn't sleep.
I tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep, feeling a sense of helplessness and confusion.
As soon as she closed her eyes, she could almost see Minato's wicked smile, saying to her: "Teacher, isn't this a crime? To actually have feelings for your own disciple... You little bastard teacher!"
Or perhaps something like: Teacher, you don't want Nawaki to find out about this, do you? You don't want to tarnish the name of the First Generation, do you?
She was so frightened that she woke up several times from her drowsy state, washed her underwear twice, and finally managed to fall asleep again as dawn broke.
In contrast, Minato was not affected much and got up early to prepare breakfast.
Having memories of his past life, he takes such things in stride.
Furthermore, the fact that Tsunade didn't press the matter further suggests that, for Tsunade, his existence was more important than the answer, and this attitude speaks volumes.
Good morning, everyone!
Nawaki, full of energy, entered the living room and, seeing only Minato and a listless Kushina, asked, "Isn't my older sister up yet?"
"You probably didn't sleep well last night, right?"
Minato served a bowl of hot porridge to Nawaki: "Don't worry, aren't you assigned to a new class today? Eat first."
"Thank you for your hard work!"
As Rope Tree ate his breakfast, he would occasionally let out a silly laugh, as if he had already foreseen his future as Hokage.
After quickly finishing his meal, he solemnly put on his headband: "I'm full. Just put the dishes in the sink. I'm heading out now!"
"Wait, Nawaki." Minato tossed a bag to the other person: "Ninja missions are inherently dangerous. Take these clone seeds with you; they can be helpful if needed, and they'll also make it easier for me to provide support."
"Ah, thank you!" Nawaki didn't refuse. He knew Minato's strength and didn't want to force himself to be proud for the sake of a little bit of pointless pride.
Watching Nawaki's excited departure, Minato's eyes held a hint of inquiry.
Regarding the claim of the cursed necklace, his attitude was that it was better to believe it than not, since Tsunade's luck was indeed very strange.
So he planned to secretly protect the other party for a period of time to see what the situation was.
