Meanwhile Logan and Levi accompanied by their bodyguards took the unusual tactic of driving through the deep dense forest, so that they don't arise suspicion and were supposed to change their vehicle near the outskirts of the town. They knew they were steering towards disaster but they did not have any option.

Funny, Levi thought, after all the hell his brother had been put through, that he would even think about wanting to do the right thing at the risk of dying, of losing the freedom that never should've been taken away from home in the first place. He felt like both cursing and praising Logan in the same breath. Levi's outlook on life wasn't complicated , it was him against everybody else, so p he did not go looking for trouble but he was always ready to face anyone who confronted with any bullshit and it was a wonder he had lived this long, he knew it well.

Still, you had to admire a person like Logan, who could fight through that all that he went through, people who did not want to see the world change one iota since they were riding on top of it. Maybe the truth will set Logan free he thought. Suddenly out of the corner of his eye he saw something in front of them when they had come into the highway road and it made him ease his hand and signal the bodyguard to drive slowly, as he could see the police checking the vehicles entering the city.

"Logan", he spoke softly and turned his head towards his brother who was sitting behind him . "We have we got a problem here."

"What is it Levi?" Logan whispered.

"Sir, please lay low !" Jimmy the bodyguard cautioned them. He looked at the police cruiser which was standing in front and said. "Sir, you both better get down from the truck and walk to the woods and reach right near the check post there will be another black van waiting for you. I'll call up my men and tell them, as they seem to be checking very seriously. Don't worry I am sending Red with you, he will lead the way." He gestured to the other man who was sitting behind to lead them on.

Logan and Levi looked at each other and with another bodyguard along with them they looked for a chance to get down from the truck, while nobody was noticing and walked behind the bushes and followed the man who was leading their way.

The patrolling had long que it seems his friends were not taking any chances they were very desperate, Logan observed with a smile. Well he was ready no matter what happened.

It was quite a long walk and as it was getting dark they were walking with precaution. Suddenly Red stopped and whispered. "I heard some voice ahead."

He walked slowly telling the others to lay low.

"Help." Someone was speaking in a very low voice and they became alert as it was a women's voice. Red told Logan and Levi to to stop and went ahead and after some time came back with a worried expression.

"It's a woman, she is lying naked and it seems she was drugged and raped. What shall we do?" He whispered.

Logan immediately went towards the place, where Red had found the women and was shocked. He immediately took out his coat and covered her with it. And took the water bottle that was in Levi's bag and made her drink it.

But the women-only whimpered and couldn't speak.

Logan looked at the woman very carefully and knew that she had taken something very strong, his CIA training had taught him a lot about drugs and their side effects and so he was worried.

All three of them were looked at each other, as if wanting to know what to do next.

As they could not leave her there and Levi had a hunch that it was the work of the serial killer, so he wanted to send her safely to the police custody.

Red understood and spoke. "Well, she is not that fat, so I can carry her till the check post but you will have to call up my friend who is waiting for us there to send some help." saying that he gave Levi his phone and picked the unconscious woman up and carrying her on his shoulders started walking ahead.

Levi called up the man waiting for them at the check post and told them everything and also instructed them to send some help while they walked behind Red.

Callie and Hudson were sitting in Hudson's car , which had been driven by Liam. They were parked inside the underground parking lot of the building where Jeremy 's office was located and they were waiting for it to get a little dark. The office had been closed by the authorities because of his death and his secretary had the keys so Hudson had managed to get it from her, without her knowing about it.

His office was on the second floor so nobody would doubt them if they went in from the stairs as it was quite dark and Liam had already planned it out.

When it was time Hudson whispered to Liam. " Keep the car doors locked and the engine running and be alert, okay?"

Liam nodded his head, looking at his boss with concern.

"And if you see something suspicious message me."

Liam watched Callie and Hudson head towards the stairs and made himself ready for any incident. And also prepared an emergency plan.

Hudson closed the door behind after getting inside Jeremy's office. I looked around and observed that there were no signs that anyone might have searched the place.

They went inside his cabin and Hudson checked the small closet next to the door but there was nothing. Next, he headed towards his table. while I checked the case files arranged on the shelf.

He rummaged through the tables but found nothing. He lifted his face and saw reading the case files thoroughly.

So he went out towards Jerome 's secretary's office and started checking the call record dairy. He stopped for a moment, listening intently. He was alert and picked yo a vase kept on the table as he could see a shadow lurching under the table.

A man came out all of a sudden and hit Hudson right in his thigh. Hudson felt the pain grip his thigh but tried to control his voice as it would disturb Callie. But Hudson was fast and gripped the man across the neck with his strong hands.

He heard the man groan but the man recovered fast and lifted Hudson off the floor and threw him on the floor and Hudson was hurt real bad in his arm. Now Hudson got angry when Callie come out all of a sudden and look at the two men fighting.

She had already heard the commotion outside and was worried.

Hudson lunged himself towards the masked man hit the man with his fist. Then he lifted him and threw him just near the door.

The guy did not waste time he staggered and got up and after opening the door rushed out.

Hudson ran behind him but because of the darkness, he lost him.

Hudson was furious and stomped his feet. " Dammit ! He exclaimed.

"What the hell was going on Hudson? Who was he?" I asked him as soon as Hudson came back.

I went forward and hugged him tightly and Hudson's face softened a little.

" I don't know, who it was but I have a feeling that this case is complicated. He came out so fast that I did not have the time to react." Hudson explained.

"Are you all right?" I asked him with concern as the man had hit him hard.

"Yeah he knocked me pretty hard but I am okay. don't worry did you find anything?"

"Yes and no," Callie whispered.

And Hudson looked at in confusion.

"Well I have found the case file about my godfather but I need to study it thoroughly. Shall we switch on our mobile light and read it here or do you want to go home and read it?"

"It's not safe here Callie as the other guy has escaped and might have alerted his friends, so we better move but before that I want to check the call records, just give me five minutes." He said and moved towards Jeremy's secretary's table.

As he was going through the caller list, he heard the knock on the door at first he thought it was just a gust of wind but when it was knocked the second time he became alert and wondered who would be foolish enough to knock on the door when the offices had already closed down in the building.

He looked at Callie and told her to come and stand behind him Callie ran and hid behind him but when the door opened they were shocked to see the people standing in front of them.
