Chapter 154 The Charming Bar Owner 1
Chapter 154 The Charming Bar Owner 1
When facing a wall, do you choose to act impulsively or suppress your emotions?
Pei Yu'an felt that instead of being driven crazy, he might as well drive himself crazy!
So he chose to face the wall and go crazy!
Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. In – she held a research position at Reykjavík Art Museum focusing on the role of women in Icelandic art. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.
After completing the mission, Liu Yunshu returned to the system space and rested on the cloud sofa for a while.
"Hachi, what's the next mission?"
"Does the boss have any requests?" Xiao Ba asked, blinking.
"In the last world, Wen Zhimiao was too calm and restrained. Although she became passionate later, she drove me crazy in the beginning." Liu Yunshu stretched and poked the floating system ball with her fingertip. "This time, I want a male lead with a big contrast, preferably one who looks flamboyant and unruly but is actually very clingy. Don't make me have to rack my brains to guess what he's thinking."
"Roger that, sir!" Xiao Ba swayed slightly. "I'll start filtering for you right away!"
Xiao Ba's eyes sparkled. "Big Brother! Would you accept a little wolf dog?"
"A little wolfhound?" Liu Yunshu's eyes lit up, then she raised an eyebrow at Xiao Ba. "How little?"
"Ahem! Big sister, are you asking about her age? Or..." Xiao Ba glanced at her furtively.
"I have them all!" Liu Yunshu leaned back on the cloud-shaped sofa, lazily playing with a strand of her hair.
"Ahem! This young man is twenty years old... well, he's thirty-seven..."
Liu Yunshu whistled, crossing her long legs. "Not bad numbers. What about my identity this time?"
Xiao Ba quickly sent her the original owner's information. Liu Yunshu took the information that flooded her mind, a hint of interest flashing in her eyes.
"A 38-year-old bar owner? Her husband cheated on her? And my current mission is to find the son of her lover? You little brat, you're getting more and more into this!"
Liu Yunshu stroked her chin, her interest growing stronger: "The person she's having an affair with is my husband's subordinate? That's a complicated relationship, interesting."
"By the way, what does a young wolfhound look like?"
"Look, Master!" Xiao Ba immediately pulled up a portrait and floated it in front of Liu Yunshu.
The boy in the painting has sharp eyebrows and eyes, his black hair is slightly messy and falls over his forehead, and his peach blossom eyes are surprisingly bright.
His smile carries a hint of arrogant roguishness, while his silence exudes a coldness that keeps strangers at bay.
His posture was as upright as a pine tree, and even a simple white T-shirt couldn't hide his flamboyant youthful spirit.
Liu Yunshu stared at the portrait for a few seconds, then gently touched the boy's eyebrows and eyes with her fingertip.
"That face, that figure, they're quite eye-catching."
Xiao Ba swayed smugly and continued to add to the list.
"His name is Pei Yu'an. He's a sophomore at a prestigious university. His father passed away early, and his mother was extremely strict with him from a young age. Later, in order to seduce your husband..."
Liu Yunshu glanced at it sideways, and Xiao Ba coughed lightly.
"...The original owner's husband was completely focused on scheming and never paid any attention to him."
At this point, it shrugged, "Don't let his rebellious appearance fool you, he's actually very insecure and his clingy nature is deeply hidden."
"Does he know his mother is cheating on him?" Liu Yunshu carefully admired the portrait, her fingertips gently tracing Pei Yu'an's jawline in the painting.
"I know, Master." Little Eight shook its small ball body.
"He caught his mother and the original owner's husband secretly meeting two weeks ago, but he didn't expose them. He's been holding a grudge, and lately he's been staying out all night, either in internet cafes or bars."
Xiao Ba quietly added, "Yours."
"He probably doesn't know yet that I'm the wife of his fucking lover, right?"
Xiao Ba was a little confused by this sentence, and it took a few shakes of its round body to figure it out.
"Ahem! I don't know yet, sir. He only recognizes your husband's face, he's never seen you in person. After all, the original owner was busy managing the bar, and you and your husband were each busy with your own things, so you rarely appeared together."
Liu Yunshu raised an eyebrow and chuckled, tapping her fingertips lightly on the sofa armrest: "Interesting, very interesting."
"What image will you choose this time, sir?"
"38 years old, what a charming age~ Full-bodied, mature, and naturally alluring."
Liu Yunshu opened the panel and directly selected the image from the previous plane.
She simply made a few minor adjustments to her eyebrows and eyes, giving her a more worldly and languid yet sharp appearance.
Her skin remained a radiant white, which made her lip color appear even more intense.
A well-tailored silk halter dress accentuated her full and well-proportioned curves.
She possesses both the charm of a mature woman and the sharp, decisive aura unique to a bar owner.
"Perfect! Let's go! I can't wait to meet this little wolf."
Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.
When Liu Yunshu walked into the bar, the leisurely folk music, along with the aroma of alcohol and fruit, wafted towards her.
The original owner ran a quiet bar with warm, soft lighting that made the wooden bar counter and tables and chairs look even more stylish.
Despite the table being almost full, it wasn't noisy; only the faint sounds of guests talking in hushed tones could be heard.
The resident singer sat on a high stool in the corner of the stage, holding a wooden guitar.
He sang old folk songs in a low, gentle voice, with a languid melody at the end, which perfectly matched the atmosphere of the bar.
Behind the bar, the bartender's wrists were flying, and the clinking of the glasses was crisp and pleasant.
She walked straight to the bar and lightly tapped the smooth surface with her fingertips.
The bartender looked up and saw it was the boss, immediately bowing: "Sister Liu, you're here? What would you like to make today?"
"One mojito, less ice," Liu Yunshu said casually, her gaze sweeping across the room without making a sound.
According to Xiao Ba's suggestion, Pei Yu'an should be in the corner booth.
Sure enough, in the shadows by the window, a boy wearing a black hoodie was sitting alone.
The brim of his hat was pulled low, revealing only his well-defined jawline and the distinct knuckles of his hand holding the wine glass.
With his other hand, he was idly fiddling with a lighter, the flame flickering on and off at his fingertips, making his knuckles appear cold and white.
Liu Yunshu picked up the prepared mojito, her fingertips hooking the rim of the glass, and slowly walked over there.
As she passed by him, she lowered her head and brought the cigarette from her lips closer to his.
The flame popped up with a "thud," illuminating the languid charm at the corner of Liu Yunshu's eyes.
She leaned forward slightly, her hair brushing lightly against Pei Yu'an's shoulder, her voice low and husky with the music, yet clear and distinct: "Could I borrow a light?"
Pei Yu'an paused, and when he looked up, his eyes met hers.
The woman's eyes were bright, with a hint of worldly wisdom, and the neckline of her silk slip dress accentuated her fair neck.
The aroma, a blend of tobacco and fruit scents, wafted over, causing him to pause for a moment.
He didn't say anything, but simply raised his wrist slightly and handed the lighter towards her.
Liu Yunshu lit a cigarette, took a drag, and slowly exhaled. The smoke blurred her features, but added a touch of hazy beauty to her appearance.
Thanks.
Instead of leaving immediately, she sat down beside him and tapped the whiskey glass in front of him with her fingertips.
"A student? Coming here to drink, aren't you afraid of getting caught?"
Pei Yu'an raised an eyebrow and finally spoke, his voice carrying the clear, youthful tone, yet tinged with a hint of arrogance: "I'm an adult now."
Liu Yunshu raised an eyebrow, gently swirling the cigarette between her fingers. She picked up her wine glass and raised it to him: "Want a drink?"
Pei Yu'an's Adam's apple bobbed slightly. He didn't refuse, picked up his cup and gently clinked it against hers, then took a big gulp.
He coughed twice, choked by the spiciness of the whiskey, and his ear tips turned slightly red.
But he forced himself not to frown and calmly placed the cup on the table.
Liu Yunshu chuckled softly as she watched, then gently pressed the cigarette between her fingers into the ashtray to extinguish the embers.
"What's the rush? The wine isn't going anywhere."
She pushed her mojito towards her, saying, "Have some of this to calm down first. Kids shouldn't try to chug strong liquor like others do."
"Who is the child?"
Pei Yu'an frowned, his tone slightly resentful, but he still reached out and took the mojito.
The refreshing taste of mint and lime slid down my throat, suppressing the spiciness in my mouth.
He looked up at Liu Yunshu, his gaze lingering for a moment on her fair neck and the curves outlined by her halter dress, before quickly looking away.
"Are you the owner here?"
"Yes, my name is Liu Yunshu."
She tapped the table lightly with her fingertips, her smile languid. "And you? You look unfamiliar. Is this your first time here?"
"Pei Yu'an," he said, taking another swig of mojito, his voice slightly muffled.
"I've been here a few times."
Every time his mother met that man, he felt suffocated and came here to kill time.
A knowing glint flashed in Liu Yunshu's eyes, but she didn't point it out. She simply went along with his words, saying, "A college student? You look like one."
"Yes, it's from A University." Pei Yu'an's tone was a bit indifferent, clearly not wanting to talk about the school anymore.
He scratched his hair in frustration, and his hat brim slipped down, revealing his sharp, somewhat fierce peach blossom eyes.
"Boss Liu, you don't need to check household registration, do you?"
"I just don't think you're the type of student who would go to bars alone."
Liu Yunshu wasn't angry. Instead, she took out a piece of candy from her bag, unwrapped it, and held it to his lips. "Are you in a bad mood?"
Pei Yu'an was stunned for a moment, looking at the milky white candy she was holding between her fingers.
I looked at her smiling eyes again, and that scent of fruit and perfume wafted over me once more.
He instinctively opened his mouth and put the candy in his mouth, the sweetness instantly melting on his tongue.
The lingering smell of alcohol subsided, and inexplicably, it also calmed some of the restlessness in my heart.
"What's it to you?" He turned his face away, but didn't spit out the candy; the tips of his ears turned even redder.
Liu Yunshu found his awkward expression extremely amusing.
He moved even closer, his warm breath brushing against Pei Yu'an's earlobe, his voice low and husky like a feather brushing against the tip of his heart.
"How can it not be my business? You're a customer of my shop. If a customer is in a bad mood, I, as the owner, naturally have to take extra care of them."
Pei Yu'an's ear tips turned bright red in an instant. He turned his head sharply and met her smiling eyes.
The woman's eyes were slightly upturned at the corners, exuding a mature charm, yet so clear that they reflected his image. His heart skipped a beat for no apparent reason.
