Liz Forbes relaxed. He knew Verbena and Zach; that shouldn't be an enemy.
She remembered that the address on Su's ID was in the town. Although he had never lived in the town before and no one knew him, and his origins were quite mysterious, it was very likely that his 'relatives' had been people in the town and knew about things in the town, but had moved away later.
Su donated one million to the school before, and then he revealed the vampire thing to me... I understand, his purpose in donating the money was probably (to prove his identity, to prove that he was one of the people in the town, or rather the committee!)
"You suddenly came back this time and brought up the vampire thing again, does that mean... you have some information about vampires?" Liz Forbes, who thought he had figured out Su's identity, quickly relaxed, and then asked Su with some concern, "You asked me if I wanted to see vampires, do you know where they are?"
Su nodded in agreement.
Leeds Forbes immediately tensed up: "Where?"
"my home!"
"Your home???"
Liz Forbes blinked, somewhat stunned.
Su chuckled and asked, "Would you like to see him?"
"You're saying there are vampires in your house? Su, this is no joke. If it's true, I have to notify others!"
"Alright, you can notify other people to come to my house."
Chapter 374 Planning Committee
Leeds Forbes ultimately decided to go home with Sue first to check. If there really were vampires, Sue's calmness indicated that the situation was still under control.
When Leeds Forbes arrived at the Sue’s house, he intended to draw his gun but instead saw Vicky and Jessica Hamby looking very relaxed and at ease. This didn’t seem like the kind of house with vampires.
"Make two cups of coffee. I'll take Sheriff Liz upstairs to see the vampires," Sue instructed the two before leading Liz Forbes upstairs.
Are there other vampires upstairs?
Vicky and Jessica looked at each other in bewilderment.
Upstairs, in front of Su's room, he turned to Lids Forbes and said, "I'll go in and get ready. Please wait a moment."
"A vampire is inside?"
"Ah."
Su nodded, opened the door, and slipped into the room. Liz Forbes drew her gun and held it in her hand. She didn't understand Su's actions. Knowing that he was a vampire, why was he still staying at home? Wasn't he afraid that something might happen to the two girls downstairs?
The thought of his daughter Caroline coming to his house every day to play, while a terrifying vampire was locked upstairs, made Liz Forbes feel a chill run down his spine.
"Squeak-"
As Liz Forbes was thinking, the door opened.
Sue chuckled as she watched Liz Forbes instinctively raise her gun, then stepped aside to invite her in.
The curtains in the room were already drawn, and a male vampire, bound by silver chains, lay on the ground. The sizzling sound of burning, accompanied by wisps of white smoke, left Leeds Forbes stunned.
“This…this is a vampire?” Liz Forbes asked, stunned.
Sue did not answer, because the sharp fangs revealed when the vampire bared his teeth had already answered Liz Forbes' question.
This really is a vampire!
Although Liz Forbes knew of the existence of vampires, she had never seen one so close. Fear, shock, and curiosity alternated as she swallowed and turned to Su Shi: "You, how did you catch him?"
“I didn’t catch them.” Su shook her head with a smile: “Someone will help me catch these supernatural creatures, such as vampires and werewolves.”
Leeds Forbes looked at Sue in surprise.
Su shrugged: "I'm very interested in the supernatural. There's an Eastern proverb that says, 'Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will win every battle.' I'll give this vampire to you for your research. If there's any danger, it's okay to kill it. I have many more of these..."
"Really? Thank you so much!" Although Liz Forbes was still a little dazed, she was very excited to hear that the Su family was willing to hand over the vampire to them.
Well, the committee knows about the existence of vampires and some of their characteristics, but they have never actually come into contact with one. Their understanding of vampires is limited to records left by their families. Having a real vampire for them to study, to truly confront vampires, and to understand them is definitely a good thing for the committee, a tremendous good thing!
Leeds Forbes remembered this friendship.
"I'll go inform the rest of the committee. I'll come and take him away tonight." Liz Forbes glanced at the vampire, thanked him sincerely, and hurriedly left.
As he walked, he made phone calls to contact other members of the committee.
"You'd better watch yourself." Madam Su glanced at the vampire on the ground, turned around, closed the door, and left.
He brought this vampire out of another dimension. Before coming out, he had already made an agreement with the vampire: if it cooperated obediently and he was able to escape, then he would consider himself lucky; if it died, then he would consider himself unlucky.
The vampire agreed.
After all, agreeing would offer a glimmer of hope and a chance to regain freedom; refusing would mean being imprisoned forever and reduced to a tool for providing 'energy'.
The reason why Sue suddenly confronted Leeds Forbes and handed the vampire over to the committee was simple: he wanted to get into the committee and keep track of its activities.
He wasn't sure about the later plot of the TV series, but the committee was definitely an indispensable part of it. Although he knew about the committee's actions in the early stages, he didn't know about the later ones. By joining the committee in advance and keeping track of its activities, he could avoid missing out on some important information later on.
Not only that, he also wanted to subtly change the committee's attitude towards vampires. Right now, their only attitude towards vampires is to kill them!
Whether good or bad, if they are vampires, kill them!
Like the monsters in ancient myths, they are something everyone should kill?
This won't work.
Su didn't expect them to be able to distinguish between good and bad demons, but at least they could tell whether a demon was a wild monster or a domestic one. They could kill the monsters outside, but their own monsters were their own people!
Sue longed to see other vampires being hunted down by the committee, forced to hide, while her own vampire could swagger around the town openly and honestly.
Sending vampires away is just the first step. Let the committee know that they know about the existence of vampires and that someone is helping them capture them. The next step is to get them to accept that they have vampires doing things for them...
As night fell, several cars parked in front of the Su family's house.
Leeds Forbes and a few others got out of the car and knocked on the door, whereupon Vicky opened it and welcomed them in.
“Mr. Su, let me introduce you. This is Mayor Richard Lockwood and his wife Carol Lockwood. This is Zack, you know him,” Liz Forbes said.
Sue smiled and nodded to the Lockwoods, then smiled at Zack.
A seemingly ordinary smile made Zach freeze, his face contorting into a stiff, unnatural smile.
What Leeds Forbes and Lockwood didn't know was very clear to him who Sue was. His uncle Stefan was a vampire, and the terrible way he was abused by Sue was still vivid in Zack's memory.
If he could, Zach really didn't want to deal with such a terrible guy as Sue, but Leeds Forbes found him and told him about Sue, so Zach had no choice but to come.
There was no other way; Uncle Stefan had also returned to the town. If the Su family wanted to deal with the vampire Stefan, it would be dangerous, so he had to come. Not only did he have to come, but he also couldn't say anything out of line and had to cooperate with the Su family's actions.
The handover of the vampire went smoothly; the vampire didn't even struggle.
Or perhaps they wanted to escape, so they obediently drank the verbena juice that Zack had prepared, and were then taken to a car by Liz Forbes and the mayor.
As for the rest, since they were escorting vampires, they didn't say much. However, the mayor expressed his gratitude to the Su family and said he would have a good chat with them when he had time.
Sue didn't take the mayor's statement too seriously. Although the committee was currently led by the mayor, the mayor's true identity was a werewolf, and he would be gone soon. So, instead of caring about the mayor, Sue would rather associate with Liz Forbes.
On one hand, she's the police chief, involved in vampire activities, and they're the main force behind them; on the other hand, she's Caroline's mother. If she had to choose someone to be close to, she'd definitely choose someone related to her, since it's best not to let the benefits go to outsiders. If she pushes Liz Forbes to the top, what difference would there be between the committee and her own?
Chapter 375 Elena on a Mission and Lucifer's Final Seal
"Bang bang bang..."
Not long after Liz Forbes and his group left with the vampire, a figure quietly arrived at the Su family's door and knocked on it lightly.
Vicky opened the door, paused slightly when she saw the person outside, and then looked at Sue, who was sitting on the sofa chatting with Jessica Hanby, with a strange expression.
"Boss, Elena is here."
Su looked up at Elena and greeted her with a smile, "Why did you come all this way so late?"
"You guys chat, we're going upstairs to rest." Jessica Hanby and Vicky, being very perceptive, went upstairs directly.
Elena sat down next to Su and said hesitantly, "I... I couldn't sleep at home, so I wanted to come and see you."
Su chuckled: "Really? I thought you came to check up on me."
"Checking up on me?"
Elena was taken aback, then shook her head and explained, "I'm not here to check up on you. After all, it's your freedom to be with whomever you want before we're officially in a relationship. Besides... we've been apart for so long, you must have been with other women too. As long as you haven't officially started a relationship or officially started dating someone, I... I can understand."
I can understand it, but whether I can accept it is another matter.
“Actually, even if you hadn’t come to me, I would have come to you soon. Your control over chakra is already quite good, and the town will be bustling soon. Your strength should also increase.”
Su's words were not a deliberate attempt to change the subject; he genuinely intended to visit Elena later.
Elena's eyes lit up: "Are you going to teach me other ninjutsu?"
Su nodded with a smile and extracted the only Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique currently available from the system, then infused it into Elena's body.
Elena's expression changed slightly, but she quickly focused on understanding and accepting the information.
A few minutes later, Elena excitedly hugged Su and kissed him hard on the cheek: "This ninjutsu is amazing! It can actually turn chakra into a fireball and release it!"
"This is just the most basic Fire Release ninjutsu. Your chakra is still too low. You can't unleash some powerful ninjutsu right now, and I don't have any other ninjutsu to teach you for the time being," Su explained simply. After thinking for a moment, she smiled and said, "Would you like to quickly increase your chakra?"
"Of course I do."
"I'm giving you a task. If you successfully unleash the Great Fireball Technique within seven days, I'll reward you with a Chakra Pill!"
"Chakra pills can help you increase your chakra; even the most basic ones will give you more chakra than you can cultivate yourself."
Elena declared confidently, "I will definitely succeed!"
"By the way, what did you mean when you said the town would become lively?" Elena asked curiously.
Sue told her about handing a vampire over to the committee, and also explained the committee's structure and members, as well as some of the town's unique history.
When Elena learned that other vampires might come to Stefan Town, she became serious. After chatting with Sue for a few minutes, she went home.
For the next period of time, Elena began to focus on practicing the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique. Caroline would come to the Su family almost every day, like clockwork, while Elena was not so consistent. Sometimes she would come, and sometimes she would stay for a while and then leave, which made Caroline feel very strange.
Did Elena understand what I meant and voluntarily withdraw?
Caroline thought Elena had withdrawn from the 'battle for the Su family', and she became even more unrestrained in her excitement. She tried to please and get closer to the Su family every day, and her intentions were so blatant that they were completely open and without any concealment. Even Leeds Forbes asked the Su family several times if he was with Caroline.
Before we knew it, a week had quietly passed.
