Chapter 59 Vivi's Actions, The Sand Crocodile's Summoning
Chapter 59 Vivi's Actions, The Sand Crocodile's Summoning
"Ugh—!"
"My eyes! My eyes!"
"It's hot! So hot!"
Several short, shrill screams came from afar, along with the sounds of heavy objects falling to the ground and people fleeing in disarray.
Those Baroque Works mid-level agents who were hiding in the shadows and spying felt their eyes burning and going blind just from the aftershocks of the announcement.
Their skin felt as if it had been branded with a hot iron, and their souls trembled under that supreme majesty and aura of destruction!
They scrambled and stumbled, fleeing like stray dogs, their hearts filled with endless fear of that sun-like figure.
Ramses II slowly lowered his hand, his gaze sweeping over the instantly deathly silence around him with an indifferent disdain for everything.
"Go back and tell your leader who's hiding under the sand." His voice regained its calmness, yet it was more intimidating than thunder.
"My Master awaits his arrival. If he dares to continue to covet this land blessed by the sun, I will use the light of Heliopolis (Sun City) to reduce him and his ambition to dust in history!"
This is not just a declaration, but a declaration of war, a blatant provocation from the Sun King to the Crocodile.
After doing all this, Ramses II turned around gracefully, and when his gaze fell back on Vivi, his suffocating majesty instantly vanished.
Instead, a gentle light shone: "Master, Nefitari Vivi. The dust has settled, the path is clear."
"Now, tell me where you wish to go? My radiance will illuminate your path according to your will."
Vivi looked at the domineering and protective pharaoh from another world who treated her specially because of her name, yet also displayed supreme power.
The shock in my heart was beyond words, but an unprecedented sense of security also arose spontaneously.
She took a deep breath, her eyes shining with determination.
"Your Majesty, thank you! But Crocodile is not so easy to deal with; he is also a Master! So now, I need to find allies!"
Her gaze swept towards the direction of Reverse Mountain, where Straw Hat Luffy and Revolutionary Army Sabo would arrive with their Servants.
They are both Masters of the Red Team, and according to the rules, they are allies...
"I want to go there and wait for them! Only by uniting the Red Team's forces can we have a better chance of stopping Crocodile, protecting Alabasta, and surviving the Holy Grail War!"
"Oh? Straw Hat Boy? Revolutionary Army?" Rascal Rascal raised an eyebrow with interest.
A knowing glint flashed in his molten gold eyes.
"Seeking the strength of like-minded individuals is a wise move. It seems your destiny is already closely intertwined with these people. Very good!"
He let out a low, pleasant laugh.
"Then let Pharaoh witness whether your chosen ally is worthy of the trust and companionship of the Master of Nefitari!"
Vivi was thrilled by his words, and even a little embarrassed to ask the next question.
After a long silence, she finally spoke, her face flushed, "Um... Your Majesty. Judging by the days, they should be arriving at Upside Down Mountain soon. We probably won't make it in time."
She thought that by saying these words, she would be scolded by the proud pharaoh.
Unexpectedly, La Er covered his face and burst into laughter, his laughter carrying the sincerity one would show when facing an innocent child.
"Hahahaha, Master! Time has no meaning before the eternal sun! Let's set off now!"
He reached out and placed his hand lightly on Vivi's back, and a warm and powerful radiance instantly enveloped Vivi and the still-shaken Icarus.
"Our destination: the Upside-Down Mountain! Set sail, my Master! Let the Ark of the Sun carry you across these mortal seas!"
A dazzling light erupted again, engulfing the three figures.
The next moment, the light dissipated, and the back alley was empty, leaving only the traces of the ground melted by the high temperature.
The lingering sacred pressure of the sun in the air silently proclaimed the arrival of an otherworldly king and the resolute choice of a princess.
The dark sun boat, even more dazzling than the sun itself, broke through the clouds and flew towards the Upside-Down Mountain.
Vivi glanced back at the gradually disappearing Whiskey Mountain, her heart filled with worry about the future.
But looking at the radiant and powerful figure beside her, and thinking of the allies she might meet soon, a strong flame of hope burned brightly in her heart.
Rainy Day, the top floor of the Rain Banquet Casino.
The Den Den Mushi in front of Crocodile was silent for a few seconds before transmitting a voice filled with extreme fear and incoherent speech.
"M-Mr. 0! Monster... Monster! The sun! The golden sun! Miss Doublefinger... she... she turned into sand in an instant!"
"That heroic spirit... he called himself Ramses... the Sun King... he... he said he would wait for you... and that he would turn you... into... into dust... how terrifying! Ah—!"
The communication was cut off amidst screams; clearly, the reporter's mind had collapsed as he recalled the terrifying pressure.
Crocodile listened quietly, his cigar burning out, the gray ash falling softly.
The muscles on his face twitched slightly, and his eyes were so gloomy they seemed to drip water.
"The Sun King... Ramses II..." he murmured the name, his voice cold and piercing.
"Hmph, what arrogance. Turn me into dust? With that light?"
A cruel and dangerous smile curled at the corner of his lips, but his eyes were filled with solemnity and... a hint of enraged madness.
He stubbed out his cigar on the expensive mahogany table, leaving a charred mark.
"It seems... we can't wait any longer." Crocodile stood up and walked to a complex summoning circle that had already been set up in the center of the room.
He obtained the drawing method from Doflamingo, which is said to be the array that appeared when Fire Fist Ace was summoned.
At the core of the formation, there was a gold ornament that exuded an ancient aura.
Those were burial items he "borrowed" from the royal tombs of Alabasta.
"Neferutali Vivi...you summoned the sun?" He stared at the summoning circle, his eyes flashing with a venomous glint.
"Then let me see how long your 'sun' can hold out against the all-consuming 'sandstorm'!"
He is summoning one of the original 20 kings, the creator of the Alabasta Kingdom!
He cut his finger, letting the blood drip onto the core of the magic circle, while simultaneously pouring his powerful will into it and beginning to chant a summoning incantation.
"Fill yourself! Fill yourself!...Bound by the three great words of power for seven days...Cross the Wheel of Restraint, appear!...Guardian of Libra!"
As the incantation was performed, the summoning circle lit up with a dim light, and a heavy aura, as if it could drain all life force, began to permeate the air.
Crocodile's eyes were filled with ambition and ruthlessness.
Just then, something unexpected happened!
A massive energy barrier hovered above the summoning circle, causing the surrounding space to distort slightly. Old Sha squinted, feeling his stamina steadily draining away.
He felt his body turn into sand and leak out uncontrollably, then be scattered in all directions by a dark gust of wind.
The cigar in his mouth suddenly went out, and this terrifying aura caused him to reveal a rare emotion called fear.
"What kind of power is this...?"
Finally, the summoning circle subsided.
The void cracked open, releasing a thick, tar-like mist that filled the air with a sweet, rotten aroma. The stone walls oozed with colorful, serpentine patterns, appearing both alluring and eerie.
These strange phenomena were not over yet. All that could be heard was the commotion and exclamations of people outside the casino, and the entire rain-soaked ground was trembling.
"Oh my god! What's going on? The sun has turned black???!!!!!"
"Trees have grown? How did they grow in the rain? So many trees!"
Before Old Sha could recover from the shock of what was happening outside, he heard a leg step out of the smoke, making a clattering sound as it hit the floor. It looked like a prosthetic leg.
Before the figure could fully appear, that deep, magnetic voice came first.
"Sorry, gambler. I stole the Servant spot that should have been yours. Ugh... because of work. That Servant was 'happy' about it too."
A black trench coat took on a three-dimensional form amidst the dark smoke, and long golden hair fluttered in the wind.
Beneath the sunglasses, those all-seeing eyes radiated a captivating light.
Old Sha was stunned. He simply couldn't understand how this cripple could possess such powerful strength!
The blond man smiled, his eyes as bright as a leopard's, as if an invisible wind was blowing through Old Sha's heart.
"Even so, I still took your Servant spot. To be fair, you can hire me for a while outside of work."
Old Sha took the extinguished cigar out of his mouth, his eyes still carrying the majesty of a tyrant.
"Who are you?"
"Then let me introduce myself. Berserker—Tescatlipok..."
As he finished speaking, his voice seemed to carry endless divine majesty, as well as the aura of night and death.
"Nice to meet you. Would you like to... participate in the trial?"
