Chapter 18 The King, Once Again Enters the Sea
Chapter 18 The King, Once Again Enters the Sea
"Dilte?!" Luffy exclaimed in surprise.
"Arbitration!" Zoro Sanji breathed a sigh of relief.
Roger also took the opportunity to sheathe his sword and step back.
He looked at the suddenly appearing Dilt, then at the blocked Kizaru, and grinned.
"Long time no see! Angel! Did you come all this way to save me?! Hahaha."
Dilt smirked: "Don't flatter yourself. If it weren't for ensuring the war could proceed smoothly, I would have made you die again."
Kizaru retracted his foot, his body shimmering with golden light.
He adjusted his sunglasses and resumed his lazy demeanor.
"Oh my, Mr. Dieter, your ability is truly timely."
"I just wanted Roger-san to cooperate with the investigation, and my methods were a little... direct."
"How terrifying! I almost got hurt by your 'divine protection'."
"An investigation?" Dilt chuckled and looked at Kizaru again.
"I think 'clean up' would be a more accurate word?"
The six-winged holy light behind him swirled slightly, radiating a powerful aura that subtly confronted Kizaru's golden light.
He turned his gaze to Karp, with a mocking tone.
"Vice Admiral Garp, your admiral is so eager to help clean house, aren't you going to express your gratitude?"
"Kizaru! You're not allowed to make a move! Roger is mine!!!"
Garp's roar was like a thunderclap, and the domineering aura on his fist condensed once more, his target locked on Roger.
"Dilter! Get the hell out of my way! Or I'll beat you up too!"
"Oh dear, Vice Admiral Garp, don't be in such a hurry."
Kizaru's figure flashed with golden light, seemingly about to coordinate with Garp's attack, but in reality he cleverly positioned himself between Garp and Dilt.
The position both restrained Dilt and subtly blocked Karp's path for a full-force charge.
"Marshal Sengoku said that we shouldn't launch an attack rashly against Mr. Dilt; we should focus on monitoring him."
"Moreover, Mr. Dilt is right. Dealing with a legend like the Pirate King does require a more 'gentle' way of inviting him."
He spoke gently, but a dangerous golden light quietly gathered at his fingertips.
In an instant, the light bypassed Dilt and shot straight toward Roger and his group in the distance.
Luffy and his crew were still focused on Dalt, completely unaware of the impending danger.
Roger's eyes lit up, and he was about to raise his hand.
The iris banner pierced the light, and the sound of it cutting through the air didn't come for a long time.
The next second, two laser beams exploded on either side in the distance, powerful enough to burn the Straw Hat crew to ashes.
"Hey kid, don't fire your lasers randomly! You almost burned my Servant!"
Dilt's expression remained unchanged, while Kizaru frowned as he looked at the suddenly appearing, holy figure.
Joan of Arc was holding up the fleur-de-lis flag, her pretty face tense as she stared intently at him.
"So this is what a Heroic Spirit is... Kowa-nii~"
Luffy smiled as he looked at the familiar figure.
"Lady Joan of Arc!"
Sanji was even more exaggerated, his eyes sparkling, and his legs kicking like a whirlwind.
"Jeanne d'Arc-chan~"
Roger sheathed his sword: "Oh! It's Ruler. Quite impressive."
Joan of Arc did not turn around; she remained focused on the navy's movements.
"Saber, now is not the time for war to begin. Take your Master and leave this place."
A knowing and decisive glint flashed in Roger's eyes!
In fact, Joan of Arc didn't need to say that he thought the same way.
Without the slightest hesitation, he turned around abruptly!
"You brats! Had enough of the show?"
Roger's booming voice instantly drowned out the tense atmosphere of the standoff.
Before he finished speaking, Roger moved with the speed of a ghost!
Whoosh!
He scooped up Luffy, who was still a little dazed and was closest to him, and hoisted him onto his shoulder with a smooth motion, as if he had practiced it a thousand times.
Swish!
At the same time, in the next instant, he carried the heavily injured and staggering Zoro on his back.
"Hey! Curly eyebrows! Long nose! Don't just stand there!"
Roger shouted at Sanji and Usopp without turning his head, his tone urging them on without room for argument.
"Huh? Oh! I understand!"
Sanji reacted quickly and immediately understood Roger's intention.
He kicked the still trembling Usopp awake and then picked Nami up.
On Sanji's shoulder, Nami and her sister Nochiko exchanged a final, meaningful glance.
Sanji, without forgetting to shout to Roger, "Hey! Pirate King! Zoro's moss-like hair is yours to handle!"
"Damn you, Round Eyebrow! Who wants you..." Zoro cursed angrily, but his injuries left him powerless.
Roger laughed heartily, hoisted Luffy onto his back, and shot off like a streak of red!
It moved so fast that it left a faint afterimage and a whistling sound in its wake!
Roger watched the disappearing point of light on the horizon, grinned, and revealed his gleaming white teeth.
"You brat, your grandpa and Dilt are both terrifying. Looks like we'll have to... find another place to hold the banquet and lay low for a while, hahaha!"
"My men! Keep up! I'll show you some wonderful places in the East China Sea!"
Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, and Nami looked at the dog-headed warship chasing them wildly on the distant sea and exchanged bewildered glances.
Zoro: "...Looks like we're in deep trouble?"
Sanji: "...Going to lay low with the resurrected Pirate King?"
Usopp: "I feel like we're going to be wanted by the Navy all over the world until we die!!"
Nami sighed, "This guy seems a million times more terrifying than Arlong!"
Luffy laughed heartily, "That sounds really interesting! Hahahaha!"
"Roger! Luffy! You two stop right there!!!" Garp watched helplessly as his grandson was carried away, his eyes bloodshot with rage!
The dog-headed warship swerved wildly, its engines roaring under the strain! The massive hull churned up towering waves.
"Lieutenant General Garp, how about we stay a while and catch up?" Dilt's voice carried a strange penetrating power.
He didn't even glance at Roger and the others who were fleeing; he simply spread his five fingers and gently pressed them towards the direction of Garp's warship!
Om-! ! !
The holy light barrier stretched and deformed as if it were alive, eventually surrounding Kizaru and Garp's entire dog-headed warship.
In an instant, the warship's enormous kinetic energy slowly dissipated, and its speed dropped visibly.
No matter how loudly the engine roared, it felt like struggling in the deep sea, making it incredibly difficult to move forward!
The swirling light feathers even subtly disrupted the airflow and seawater direction around the warship!
"Damn you, Dilt!!" Garp roared furiously.
The Conqueror's Haki-infused iron fist slammed fiercely towards the light screen that was inches away!
Boom! The light curtain dented and rippled violently, and countless light feathers shattered and flew away.
However, the punch did not penetrate the barrier; the light in the dented area dimmed slightly, but it quickly recovered under the infusion of Dilt's power!
"Oh dear~ Vice Admiral Garp, calm down."
Kizaru's voice carried a subtle hint of trying to mediate.
He hovered in the air, looking at the radiant eyes ahead, the dangerous golden light at his fingertips quietly dissipating.
He didn't attack with all his might; he seemed to be looking for a weak point, but in reality, he slowly raised his foot and "lightly" kicked a few times.
The attack only caused a few ripples, more like a perfunctory attempt to break the defense.
"Mr. Dilt's 'Grace Veil of Light' is both beautiful and troublesome~ My light-speed kick doesn't seem to be very effective either?"
Dilt naturally saw through Kizaru's "going through the motions".
He maintained the veil of light, his six wings shimmering with holy light, his golden pupils displaying a composed smile that suggested he was in complete control.
"This move should keep them under control for a while, giving the Straw Hat crew a chance to catch their breath."
But it was only for a moment; news of the king entering the sea would soon spread.
The ocean will boil again, and the sea's fervor for the Holy Grail War will reach new heights...
