Chapter 151 Giving Chicken Soup
Chapter 151 Giving Chicken Soup
Uchiha Yoru was most adept at embellishing his own image.
With everything ready, she took out her kunai again, just as she heard a voice from the side, "Um...am I really that bad? I failed the Chunin Exams once out of three attempts."
Uchiha Ye paused, putting away her kunai. "It does sound pretty bad," she thought to herself, though she only said that to herself.
However, compared to Iruka's fellow ninjas from the same generation, those whose names you can name are at least Chunin or Special Jonin, and there are even a few Jonin. The difference is quite significant.
She thought for a moment before slowly speaking, "Iruka, don't underestimate yourself. Everyone has their own value. I see that your foundation is very solid. It's just that there are too many strong ninjas in the Five Nations Joint Exam this time. You will definitely be able to be promoted to Chunin next time. I believe in you."
"Perhaps there's an unexpected surprise." She blinked, then didn't continue.
If you calculate the timeline, Iruka's promotion to Chunin was around this time, and then he entered the Ninja Academy to become a teacher.
"I never expected that a genius of your caliber would notice my performance in the Chunin Exams. After all, compared to geniuses like you, I am far too unsuccessful and mediocre," Iruka said with a self-deprecating laugh.
"You can't say that. Even a genius will become mediocre if they don't work hard. And failure doesn't mean anything. It's just accumulating better experience and taking another step on the road to success."
"There's a saying, 'Failure is the mother of success.' With your talent, this performance is already very good." Uchiha Ye patted his shoulder and comforted him for a few words, then stood up and withdrew his hand. "Let's go back to the hotel, it's getting late."
"Haha... I didn't expect her to have such a talent for giving people inspirational quotes." Uchiha Ye gave herself a smug mental thumbs up.
Thank you for your comfort.
"To be honest, I feel much better now." Iruka looked at Uchiha Yo and sincerely thanked him.
"It seems you've overcome your confusion, so I'll be going now." She finished speaking and turned to leave, then turned back and asked, "Want to come together?"
"Okay!" Iruka replied, somewhat flattered, unaware that it was Uchiha Yoru's terrible sense of direction that prompted him to ask such a question.
Iruka never imagined he would have such a day, to be able to walk alone with such a genius.
Iruka, who unexpectedly became an orphan due to the Nine-Tails' rampage, had no friends when he was young and was often bullied. He made a friend, Mizuki, who was actually a treacherous person.
Uchiha Ye looked at him with a hint of pity.
"What's wrong?" Iruka asked, puzzled.
"Oh, it's nothing. I just think the scar on your face is quite unique and adds to your charm," she said with a forced smile, offering a compliment that wasn't entirely sincere.
Her smile was like a ray of sunshine, shining into Iruka's heart, and a blush inexplicably rose on his face. "I never thought I'd be praised by a girl."
Iruka dared not look at her for long; her face was too lethal, and he didn't want to lose face in front of her.
The two fell silent again, but even so, Iruka was overjoyed.
If you look closely, Uchiha Hato's pace is always half a step slower than his.
Good times always pass too quickly. The place wasn't too far from the hotel; it was less than a ten-minute walk.
When Itachi saw the two people walking in together, he frowned. "When did Ye become so familiar with this person?" He remembered that they hadn't had any interaction or contact on the way.
"I'm going to find my companions." Uchiha Ye saw Itachi and Yamato say goodbye to Iruka and then headed straight for where they were.
It's lunchtime now, and most people are eating downstairs.
Iruka glanced at her departing figure, then, hearing his teammates calling him, walked to the other side.
"Hahaha..."
Uchiha Ye had just sat down when a familiar laugh came through the wooden board.
"As expected of the perverted sage, with so many fellow village ninjas here, doesn't he know to restrain himself? Isn't he afraid of leading them astray?" Uchiha Ye sighed as he listened to Jiraiya's flirtatious words.
"Ye, this is all the food this shop has. This radish tastes pretty good, you can try it."
Itachi pushed a plate of food that he thought tasted pretty good in front of Yoh.
"Okay." She responded with a faint smile, just picking up a piece of radish to take a bite.
Suddenly, Jiraiya's words caused Yamato and Itachi's faces to turn red instantly.
Uchiha Ye immediately decided to take action, not wanting Jiraiya to lead the two astray, and not to think that hiding in a corner would make them hard to be noticed.
She stood up, leaned over the wooden board separating the dining table, her eyes brimming with tears, and looked at Jiraiya with disbelief. "Dad, what are you doing here? Mom is waiting for you to bring food back."
"Are the two beautiful ladies next to me my new mothers?"
"I...I know Mom is seriously ill, but Dad, could you wait until Mom is gone, and then..." She didn't finish her sentence, and crystal tears slid down her cheeks, making her look incredibly pitiful. The two beauties felt heartbroken and immediately stood up, each slapping Jiraiya, not forgetting to leave behind a curse, "Scumbag!"
"Hey, hey... don't go... it's not like that, she's just making things up, listen to my explanation..." Jiraiya chased after him to explain, but was met with even fiercer punches.
Seeing this, Uchiha Ye's pitiful expression vanished in an instant, replaced by a radiant smile. "I'll teach you to lead bad people astray," she muttered as she sat down, then picked up a piece of radish and put it in her mouth.
She had just swallowed when she sensed something was off. She looked up and asked, "Why are you all looking at me like that? Is there something on my face?"
After she finished speaking, she touched her own face, as if she was about to take out a mirror to look at herself.
"No," the two replied in unison, their expressions strange.
"Heh... no way!" Uchiha Ye didn't believe it at all, but she didn't want to expose them, and focused on eating. "This radish is probably made by Itachi, the taste is so familiar."
She had just finished eating when she saw Jiraiya walking over with a dark face, gritting his teeth and shouting, "Uchiha Yo!"
"Is there something you need, Jiraiya-senpai?" she asked innocently.
"It's alright. As your father, I want to teach you more personally." Before he finished speaking, Uchiha Ye was dragged away.
Itachi and Yamato wanted to stop them but it was too late, so they silently followed behind and watched the show.
"Come on, let's demonstrate the summoning technique we learned today!" Jiraiya led the person to a spacious area and said with a malicious look on his face.
"Want to get some tadpoles just to see her make a fool of herself?"
"Absolutely impossible!"
Uchiha Yo saw through Jiraiya's intentions at a glance.
For the sake of her image, she decided to gather all of her chakra plus half of her spiritual power so that she would definitely not summon a tadpole; at the very least, it should have legs.
