Chapter 78 The Jinchūriki Almost Died
Chapter 78 The Jinchūriki Almost Died
In the Hokage's office, Hiruzen Sarutobi stared at the images inside the crystal ball, lost in thought.
"Master Sarutobi, it seems that my disciple is very likely to surpass any genius in the past." Orochimaru said with a proud expression.
His disciple definitely harbors a secret; his knowledge of human anatomy is not much inferior to his own.
Orochimaru had a premonition that he would get what he wanted from this disciple.
Hiruzen Sarutobi picked up his pipe and took a puff. "Train him well."
Orochimaru glanced at his teacher, "I will..."
He didn't finish his sentence. All he asked was to keep an eye on this genius and see if he posed a threat to Konoha. "Sarutobi-sensei...Sarutobi-sensei, you really haven't changed at all."
Jiraiya stood to the other side, looking at the person inside the crystal ball, and felt more and more that Uchiha Yoru was the one who had made the prophecy.
Also, she doesn't seem interested in 'Make-Out Paradise'. Could it really be Orochimaru who sent her to buy that book?
He returned to Konoha to stop Orochimaru's defection, but instead of what happened, something unexpected happened. "It seems I have to have a frank talk with Orochimaru."
On the riverbank.
"Sister Ye, I've refined chakra!" Naruto shouted excitedly to Uchiha Ye in the middle of the river.
"Hmm?" A hint of doubt flashed through Uchiha Ye's mind. In the anime, Naruto was a loser, so how could he refine chakra so quickly? "The anime plot isn't always accurate!"
She was still thinking that Naruto would be able to refine chakra only after she returned from her mission.
Suddenly, a cold glint flashed across her face. Uchiha Ye regained her composure, finished the last bit of work on her painting, and dodged the frenzied attacks of the two shadow clones.
"Well done!" Her eyes were full of a desire to challenge, because in her mind, only between life and death could one break through one's own potential the fastest.
Naruto, seeing this, couldn't stand still by the river and ran straight over.
At this moment, the shadow clones' attacks became more frequent and tricky, and Uchiha Hajime was completely focused on them, not noticing Naruto's approach at all.
"Sister Ye, let me lend you a hand!"
Upon hearing this, Uchiha Ye cursed under his breath, biting his drawing board. In an instant, he formed a hand seal and used the Body Flicker Technique to appear in front of Naruto. He used the pen in his hand to slightly rotate and deflect the attack, and then used a spinning kick to make the two shadow clones disappear.
When Hiruzen Sarutobi saw that the Jinchuriki had almost died, he could no longer sit still. Fortunately, the situation was reversed in the blink of an eye, but Uchiha Yoru's strength really shocked him.
Orochimaru and Jiraiya, needless to say, were just as surprised as their teacher.
"They are talented, hardworking, and so young, with a lot of room for growth. They may be able to surpass them in just a few years."
"If I open my eyes, my strength will probably reach a new level."
At the same time, Uchiha Ye coldly admonished, "Naruto, if you're not strong enough, you'll only make things worse and put your comrades in even more danger. So you must always act within your capabilities."
"Take the previous example, for instance. If I had reacted any slower, you would have lost your life for nothing."
"Understood, Sister Ye."
"I was just afraid of turning into a human again." Naruto lowered his head, looking remorseful.
Uchiha Ye fell silent upon hearing this, and after a long while, he said, "Naruto, don't worry, you will never be alone again."
"Looks like I'll have to put in more effort to find Minato Namikaze and Kushina's whereabouts," she thought to herself, then changed the subject, "Alright, it's lunchtime. I'll continue training you after you eat."
Naruto thought he would be lectured again, but unexpectedly, Sister Ye called him to eat, leaving him stunned for a moment.
"What are you standing there for? Let's go," Uchiha Ye urged.
"Okay, Sister Ye," Naruto replied, flashing a big smile.
He had just taken a step when he fell into the water. "Sister Ye, help!"
"Naruto, think back to how you got to the middle of the water. I won't interfere." Uchiha Ye crossed his arms and looked at him coldly.
Time passed second by second, and just as she was about to take action, Naruto climbed out of the water on his own, clearly having mastered chakra control.
Uchiha Ye gave him a thumbs up without hesitation, "Naruto, you're awesome!"
Upon hearing this, Naruto revealed a bright, sunny smile, showing no sadness whatsoever at Uchiha Hajime's refusal to help.
"Sister Ye, will you teach me ninjutsu after we finish eating?" he asked expectantly.
Uchiha Ye poked him on the forehead. "It's still early."
"I've decided to teach you taijutsu first. Ninjutsu isn't the right time yet. You've only just refined your chakra, and you don't have enough chakra to unleash ninjutsu."
"If you accidentally run out of chakra, the consequences could be very serious."
Upon hearing this, Naruto, though somewhat disappointed, still obediently replied, "I'll listen to Sister Ye."
"Hmm?" Uchiha Ye thought she would have to use her words, but she didn't expect Naruto to become so well-behaved, which was completely different from what she saw in the anime.
After eating a simple rice ball, Uchiha Yoru rested his chin on his hand and watched Naruto eat.
"So cute!"
She took out her easel and silently recorded the scene, while also finishing the painting she hadn't completed earlier.
"Sister Ye, what are you drawing?" Naruto asked curiously to Uchiha Ye after finishing his meal.
"Here you go!" Uchiha Ye finished the last stroke and handed it to Naruto.
Naruto took it and exclaimed, "Sister Ye, isn't this me?"
"Yes, that's how you looked while eating. Did you like it?"
"I like it." Naruto hugged the painting to his chest, looking extremely happy.
"Sister Ye, could you draw another one with just the two of us?" he pleaded, his eyes filled with anticipation.
Unable to withstand that gaze, Uchiha Ye softly replied, "Okay."
Then the pen in my hand started working again.
Concentrating on her painting, she finished it in no time. Looking at the painting, her eyes were full of smiles as she handed it over, "Naruto, it's finished, here you go!"
"Sister Ye, I've never done anything like that before." Naruto's face was full of accusation.
Uchiha Ye pretended not to hear and said instead, "Naruto, you've rested enough, it's time to continue your training."
After she finished speaking, she got up and went to an open space to wait.
Seeing this, Naruto carefully put away the two paintings in his hands before coming to Uchiha Yoru's side.
Seeing that Naruto was in position, Uchiha Ye said directly, "First, get into a horse stance!"
