The small fan in Chu Sheng's hand stopped. In the bathroom mirror, the stall door behind him slowly opened.
The first thing that catches the eye is a pair of long legs.
Long, white, and powerful. Her thighs were firm and full at the top, with clean lines, bearing the marks of long-term training. She wore white sneakers, topped with white slouch socks, and a lace-up band around her left thigh, accentuating a soft cleavage.
Above that was a cheerleader-style pleated mini-skirt. The skirt was dangerously short, with a shimmering hem that sparkled as she moved. Above the skirt was a firm, flat stomach, with fair skin tinged with a healthy pink from exercise, and attractive but not very defined abs.
She wore a cheerleader's short vest, pure white, with an exaggerated heart badge printed on the chest. The badge was bulging high, the fabric clinging to her voluptuous curves, undulating gently with the movement of her raising her hand to brush her hair, exuding a mature weight yet also carrying a youthful elasticity.
Her face was also striking; her long, light blonde hair was styled in large waves with pink highlights at the ends, and tiny star-shaped glitter adorned the corners of her eyes. Her lips were painted a moist peach color, and when she smiled, she revealed a canine tooth and shallow dimples.
Chu Sheng silently admitted to himself that Haicheng's magical girl version was indeed far ahead of that of the small town. This person clearly looked to be about the same age as him, but her development was simply too advanced.
Wow, your makeup is so exquisite!
She was much taller than Chu Sheng. She walked to the sink, bent down, and looked at Chu Sheng's face in the mirror.
Chu Sheng caught a faint citrus scent emanating from her and cautiously took a half-step to the side: "Who are you?"
"Don't be nervous." She smiled and raised her hands, the two little pom-pom ornaments on her wrists dangling. "I was cheering myself up inside just now, and when I saw you putting on makeup here, I just asked."
Chu Sheng stared at her for a few seconds. Her smile was natural, and her eyes were curved, showing no malice.
"Are you a magical girl too?" Chu Sheng asked, relaxing a little.
"Hmm." She raised her hand, making a very standard cheerleader opening gesture, "Code name [Gluttony], here to participate in the audition today."
"Bingeing?" Chu Sheng glanced at her flat stomach subconsciously.
This body type is binge eating? All the nutrition went straight to his chest?
Gluttony seemed to sense Chu Sheng's confusion and explained, "My magic is related to eating, but don't worry, I don't eat people. At most, I eat desserts, fried chicken, monster scraps, and things like that."
"You eat monster scraps too?" Chu Sheng's face darkened.
"Just kidding." Gluttony blinked, propped his elbow on the sink, and turned to look at Chu Sheng. "And you? What's your codename?"
Chu Sheng subconsciously puffed out his small chest and raised his chin demurely: "[The Dark Side of the Moon], Lilith."
After she finished speaking, she deliberately paused for a moment, waiting for the other person to show that "Wow, Joan of Arc is eating mud duck" expression.
Even the bureau chief has heard of me, but you haven't?
"Wow! You're Lilith?"
Chu Sheng's eyes lit up: "You know me?"
"I know," Gluttony nodded sincerely. "I've seen your videos."
Chu Sheng's heart started racing instantly.
Okay! I knew it! My beauty is starting to spread!
"You're incredibly memorable," Gluttony said earnestly. "And your face is so photogenic; your eyes, hair color, and makeup are all so captivating. Are you really a newcomer? I thought you were some idol agency's secret weapon!"
Chu Sheng's lips curled up uncontrollably, and he casually flicked his silver twin ponytails: "Ahem, it's alright, I was just taking some casual photos."
Gluttony glanced down and exclaimed in surprise, "You call this casual? Your foundation is spotless, your eyeliner is perfect, and your false eyelashes look so natural. Did you do your own makeup?"
"Um."
"That's amazing." Gluttony sighed. "I can't do it. I can never get it right by myself. I'm too stupid."
Chu Sheng felt a surge of relief upon hearing this: "You're a newcomer too?"
"Yeah, right." Gluttony nodded naturally. "A D-rank newbie, here to try his luck."
"You're also a D-rank?"
Chu Sheng immediately relaxed a lot.
A classmate? That's fine then.
D-level players should support each other and work together to fight against those talent monsters!
"My physical test results were terrible." Gluttony lowered his eyes, sounding quite embarrassed. "My speed is average, my magic power is average, and my stamina is only slightly better. I'm mainly here today to broaden my horizons; I'll probably be going home after the first round."
"Magical girls need the courage to face hardship!" Chu Sheng raised his little pink fist to encourage her. "My physical test results weren't great either, but I still persevered!"
Gluttony clapped twice, looking at her with admiration: "Lilith, you really have the presence of a protagonist."
"It's almost time." She glanced at her phone. "Shall we go up together?"
Chu Sheng nodded reservedly: "Okay."
She stuffed her makeup bag into her small handbag, opened her black lace parasol, and checked herself one last time in the mirror.
perfect!
The two left the women's restroom and headed towards the elevator.
Throughout the journey, Gluttony's mouth never stopped.
"Your skirt is so pretty, the layers look especially nice when you walk, it would definitely create a great atmosphere when the camera zooms in."
"Your codename sounds better, Dark Side of the Moon. It sounds much more sophisticated than Gluttony. My codename sounds like a giant monster."
"Your skin looks amazing! Do you have a built-in soft-focus effect? My face gets oily after every Warcraft game, and my makeup always smudges."
"Honestly, your face is so striking, it's like everyone's into that kind of unexpected look these days!"
Chu Sheng initially tried to be modest, but later he started nodding in agreement seriously: "You know a lot."
"I'm just stating the facts," Gluttony laughed. "My style is so common, everyone's doing it. You're different, you're distinctive."
The elevator doors opened, and several magical girls who had also come to participate in the audition stood outside.
There were girls in sailor uniforms, girls in mecha suits, and a punk girl carrying a half-person-high electric guitar. They all glanced at Chu Sheng and Gluttony almost simultaneously when they saw them enter.
Half of it landed on Chu Sheng's face, and the other half on Gluttony's exaggeratedly large and undeniably attractive physique.
Chu Sheng felt the smoke of war!
A queue had already formed outside the temporary studio. A registration table was set up at the entrance, with two staff members from the external publicity department sitting behind it. In front of them were tablets, identity verification devices, and a stack of number tags.
The corridor was lined with talent show posters with all sorts of slogans.
[Take 30 seconds to make the judges remember you]
There are no second chances for a first encounter in front of the camera.
[Private beatings of competitors are strictly prohibited; violators will be disqualified.]
Chu Sheng looked at the last picture and thought to himself that the last talent show must have been really exciting.
"Are you nervous?" Binge asked in a low voice.
Chu Sheng snorted coldly: "No big deal."
Gluttony stared at her with bright eyes: "So handsome!"
The line moved forward quickly, and soon it was Chu Sheng's turn.
The staff member looked up: "Code name."
Chu Sheng cleared his throat: "The Dark Side of the Moon, Lilith."
The staff member entered information on the tablet and glanced at her: "Newly registered magical girl at Haicheng Branch, rating D, volunteer work pilot position in the Publicity Department, information matches. Please collect your number."
She handed me a number plate.
37.
Chu Sheng took the number tag and pinned it to his chest, suddenly feeling a little nervous. Now that things had come to this, he wasn't as composed as he had been in the restroom.
She stepped aside, and it was her turn to register for binge eating.
Gluttony grinned as he leaned over the sign-in table: "Thanks for your hard work, codename Gluttony."
The staff member entered the code, and the next second, her expression changed.
"Gluttony... Please verify your identity information." She looked up at Gluttony, her tone noticeably more polite.
"Registered as a magical girl by the Haicheng branch, currently rated B. Previously participated in the Idol Trainee program under the Publicity Department, with a training period of two and a half years. Historical records show that you previously withdrew from the trainee program for personal reasons; this is a return to participate, is that correct?"
Chu Sheng was stunned and slowly turned his head.
Level B? Two and a half years of training?
BingeEater's smile was natural, and he even stuck out his tongue sheepishly: "Oops, I got caught."
The staff handed her a number plate.
38.
