Chapter 10 The Dawn of the Trisolaran Civilization

The Trisolaran leader couldn't understand: "If the humans of this world possess such technology, why are they still the ones being slaughtered when facing Xenomorphs?"

"As the creators of humanity on Earth, the 'Engineers' meant they possessed the technology for rapid space travel millions of years ago. Their technology should be far superior to humanity's. This civilization has many ways to destroy humanity, so why did they choose to create that 'black water' as a weapon?"

But the "Engineers'" spaceship was knocked down by a human spaceship traveling at hundreds of kilometers per hour. What a shoddy spaceship!

"The technology of humans in the Alien world is similar to that of the Engineers. Compared to you, they are only more advanced in space technology. In other aspects, they are far inferior, even to humans on Earth in your world."

While the humans on Earth in the Three-Body Problem world aren't much better, they're still better than the humans and "Engineers" in the Alien world; at least they're not stupid enough not to set up defenses for their home planet.

This is the most outrageous thing. A star-level civilization didn't make any defensive arrangements for its own home planet. There was no space customs or space border control. David just swaggered over in his spaceship and wiped out the "Engineers" home planet (Note 1).

"However, the reason why the 'Engineers' chose to use black liquid as a weapon to exterminate humanity instead of other weapons is somewhat acceptable in the movie: they just wanted to exterminate humanity, not destroy the Earth."

The sheriff said, "Humans on Earth and 'engineers' can travel rapidly in this universe, and there may be many spacefaring civilizations in this universe."

Cheng Yuan smiled and said, "That is indeed possible, but there is no need to worry too much. The fact that 'engineers' and humans have been able to travel in the universe for so many years proves that the danger level of this universe is far less than that of your universe."

While Cheng Yuan was conversing with the Trisolaran leadership, several probes flew into the building to reconnoiter its interior. They quickly discovered the writing of the "Engineers" and the corpses of dead "Engineers" within the building...

The building's overall shape was also simulated and recreated by a supercomputer, just as Cheng Yuan had described.

These findings led Cheng Yuan to preliminarily determine that the dimension connected by the Multidimensional Gate this time was the Alien dimension.

Other detectors are also sending back messages.

There is no life on the surface of planet LV-223. Although the mountains are covered with ice and snow, there are no rivers, lakes, or oceans.

It's not that there was never any, but later they all dried up, and you could see the clearly dried-up riverbeds on the surface.

The Trisolaran leader sought Cheng Yuan's opinion: "Sir, do you think we should launch more probes?"

Cheng Yuan knew that he wanted to confirm for sure whether LV-223 had only one star.

The Trisolaran civilization has long suffered from the existence of three fixed stars. If LV-223 only had one fixed star, it would be a very suitable planet for them to immigrate to, even if LV-223 is located in another world.

Cheng Yuan said, "Okay, but we need to be cautious. Although I judge that the other side is the Alien world and think that it is unlikely to pose a threat to you, it is never too much to be careful."

Hundreds of more advanced probes were deployed to the world on the other side of the gate to conduct a more detailed exploration of LV-223, primarily observing the stars in the sky to determine if there was only one.

The Trisolaran scientists on the space station quickly analyzed the data transmitted back by the probe, and the results were soon available:

Based on the current data analysis, it can be determined that the star system where planet LV-223 is located has only one star!

Upon learning this result, the Trisolarans collectively experienced brainwave oscillations.

The Trisolaran leader expressed his gratitude to Cheng Yuan: "Sir, on behalf of civilization, I would like to express my sincerest thanks to you. It is you who have given us new hope and a greater ideal."

The other Trisolarans also thanked Cheng Yuan. Since the birth of their civilization, a sword had been hanging over their heads: three celestial bodies were moving erratically in the galaxy, and they didn't know when they would bring them destruction.

Besides this sword, there is now another sword called "Luoji Deterrence," but they can't do anything about it. They don't know when the sword will fall.

The Trisolarans lived in constant fear, knowing that the world might end at any moment.

Now, their suffering has finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel. Civilization will have the opportunity to escape these crises and be reborn in another dimension, and this opportunity is given to them by the one before them.

This being from a higher dimension is their civilization's hope, benefactor, and savior!

Cheng Yuan said, "I have done what I promised, and I hope everyone can process my request as soon as possible."

The Trisolaran leader immediately said, "Sir, please give us three times the time limit, and we will announce the results to you. Now, please withdraw the dimensional gate and rest for a moment!"

Under the reluctant gaze of a group of Trisolaran scientists, Cheng Yuan retracted the multidimensional portal and, escorted by Trisolaran guards, went to the room prepared for him to rest.

Note 1: According to the film's director, that planet is the home planet of the "Engineers".

It's just that there wasn't enough funding, so they couldn't pull off the big scenes, but if they had, it would have been even funnier.
