"Let's go first." Shirakawa Natsu stepped forward and took her arm. If they stayed here, they would inevitably be disturbed by others.
This is just an ordinary small town. There aren't many pedestrians on the street in the afternoon. Employees in the surrounding shops are squatting at the door, leisurely smoking. It's a peaceful scene.
"Here." The fox pointed to another restaurant, gesturing for him to take a picture together.
Shirakawa Natsu was already used to it, letting her pull him along. Anyway, the fox didn't care about his expression or posture, it was just about taking pictures, and she didn't care whether the pictures were good or not.
Both of them are good-looking, so they don't need any special skills; a casual snapshot is perfect for a screensaver.
As the sun sets in the west from noon, the sky is gradually draped in a red veil.
"Where are we headed?" Shirakawa Natsu looked around; the number of pedestrians and shops was gradually decreasing.
Rocky hills gradually appeared on both sides, indicating that we were moving towards the suburbs.
“Let’s go to my house.” The fox took his hand and led the way.
"Huh?" Shirakawa Natsu was taken aback, put her hand on her brow and looked out at the endless mountain range and dense forest in front of her.
His lips twitched: "Isn't it a bit inappropriate to go at this time?"
The fox turned its head and looked at his face: "I want to go with you."
After saying that, he stared into Shirakawa Natsu's eyes.
Shirakawa Natsu hesitated for only a second before nodding: "Okay."
He felt that being looked at like that made it impossible for him to say no.
The two continued walking, and gradually there were no pedestrians around, only vehicles passing by occasionally.
There are many trees and weeds on both sides, and occasionally the chirping of insects can be heard.
As the sun gradually set, visibility began to decrease, and the depths of the forest gradually became shrouded in darkness.
"Snoring." Shirakawa Natsu's stomach protested, and he realized he hadn't eaten lunch. He looked at the fox.
Her eyes were bright and lively, and after entering the forest, it seemed as if she had gained something.
The evening breeze rustled through the leaves, making a "shush" sound.
The forest was colder than usual at night.
Shirakawa Natsu involuntarily shivered, shrank her neck, and pulled her collar up a little, as if that would ward off the cold.
He initiated a conversation: "Don't you feel the surroundings getting colder?"
"Hmm." The fox turned its head, its pupils seemingly glowing in the darkness. "Perhaps people often commit suicide in the forest."
"Uh." Shirakawa Natsumi's lips twitched. He looked around and felt even colder. He took out his phone, which showed a very poor signal.
In the East, the signal is not very good if you are far from the city.
"I don't really like walking at night."
As he walked, he gradually felt breathless. His spleen and lungs were not in good condition, and it was already a great effort for him to walk this far.
He suddenly felt a coolness on his face, touched it with his hand, and found it slightly damp: "Is it raining?"
Without time to think, the raindrops began to intensify, pattering down on his head.
"Oh no, it's raining." Shirakawa Natsu was surprised and looked around. They were already walking on the path leading up the mountain.
There's no village or shop in sight. He's in poor health; if he gets caught in the rain, he might just die here.
"Let's find somewhere to take shelter from the rain."
"This way." The fox led him by the hand to a recessed hole, where rain was still pouring down, splashing onto his face from time to time.
"I don't think this rain will let up." Shirakawa Natsu sat on the ground panting. He hadn't eaten lunch, and the journey, plus being soaked in the rain, made him feel exhausted and thirsty. "I feel like I can't feel my feet anymore."
He looked around and realized that they were probably really deep in the mountains, with no houses or roads in sight.
This time we've truly entered the heart of the forest.
"Are you scared?" the fox asked, leaning close to him.
“I’m not afraid.” Shirakawa Natsu shook his head, looking at the fox. He would be afraid if he were alone in this deep mountain forest.
But when there's someone around, I feel much more at ease: "With you here, what do I have to be afraid of?"
The fox's gaze lingered on his face, then it turned its head and rested its head against his chest: "I'm scared."
"Huh?" Shirakawa Natsu was stunned.
“I had companions. When it rained, we would take shelter here.” Kimura Momo’s voice was calm as she slowly recounted, “Every day we played and frolicked in the sunshine. There was plenty of food in the forest. It was simple and happy.”
Shirakawa Natsu knew she was referring to her past experiences as a fox, so she didn't interrupt.
“When animals realize they are about to die, they will leave their companions and find a quiet place to leave.” Kimura Momo looked at the rainy night: “But I can find them, bring them back again and again, bring them here, and put food in their mouths until they can no longer open their mouths.”
"On a rainy night like this, their eyes could no longer open. I shook their bodies, but received no response."
A scene flashed through Shirakawa Natsu's mind: a white fox anxiously shaking the emaciated corpse of its companion beneath it with its paws, receiving no response. However, in a fox's understanding, it did not know the concept of death.
"I'll stay with you." Shirakawa Natsu sighed and reached out to hug the fox. "I'll always be with you."
He gradually understood why spending time alone with the fox would increase his favorability rating.
Foxes don't have as many complicated feelings as humans; what they want is very simple: companionship.
The places we took photos with her today were mostly rooms, which were obviously the places she often ate after entering the human world, and can be considered her past.
Shirakawa Natsu tightened her grip on his hand.
Just then, a beam of light shone in, followed by an old woman's voice: "Why are you squatting here?"
Shirakawa Natsu was taken aback. Looking outside again, the houses and streetlights made her realize that this was not a deep mountain, but a small mountain village.
"You!" Shirakawa Natsu glared at the fox, having been tricked by him again. She had unknowingly controlled his vision.
Half an hour later.
"Welcome to my family-run inn." The old lady led the two into the house. "Would you like to take a bath first? Our specialty is the open-air hot spring. There are no other guests today, so you can enjoy yourselves to the fullest."
After the old lady left, Shirakawa Natsu said with a dark face, "You bastard, why did you play me?"
“I’m so happy.” The fox leaned on his shoulder. “Because you told me you would always be with me.”
Chapter 249 Bathing Together
"Go take a shower first." After flirting with Shirakawa Natsumi, the fox turned around without waiting for her reply: "Grandma said there won't be any other guests today, let's shower together."
"Ah, okay." Shirakawa Natsu nodded immediately after a moment of surprise. The two had already bathed together, but the fox seemed different from usual today.
Just as the old lady said, there were no other guests in the hot spring.
The two stood in the changing room, placing their clothes in a bamboo basket on a wooden shelf in front of them.
The fox placed both hands on his waist, unbuttoned his jeans, and pulled them down along his long, slender legs. The white underwear that was exposed was quickly covered by his T-shirt as it fell down.
The stunningly beautiful mature woman, wearing only a T-shirt and barefoot on the wooden floor, looked even more alluring than when she was naked.
“You’re blushing.” The fox turned around, her T-shirt barely covering her upper thighs, her beautiful eyes fixed on Shirakawa Natsu.
"No, it's too hot right now." Shirakawa Natsumi said, pulling down her pants while pointing to the steam rising from the hot spring outside the changing room. Her gaze involuntarily traveled up her fair inner thighs. "Do you usually start by taking off your pants?"
“No.” The fox said, taking long strides over until they were only ten centimeters apart. “Because the magazine said that boys would like it more.”
She stretched out her hands and placed them on Shirakawa Natsu's chest: "You can help me take off the rest."
Shirakawa Natsu covered her nose with her hand: "Okay."
He walked behind the fox and pulled up her T-shirt, revealing her delicate, fair skin and the straps of her bra underneath.
"You bumped into me," came the fox's voice softly.
"Ahem, there's nothing we can do about it," Shirakawa Natsu said, grasping her slender waist with both hands and slowly pulling her down.
"Let's go." The fox didn't give him a chance to play and headed straight for the hot spring. Finally, it turned around and said, "Don't just stand there, come on."
"Oh, you're here." Shirakawa Natsu felt like she was being manipulated. Despite her cold and beautiful appearance, the contrast was so strong that it was unbearable for her brother.
The two took a bath together and then stepped into the hot spring.
Shirakawa Natsu sank into the hot spring, his upper body leaning against the edge. The fox stepped in, parted his thighs, and naturally moved closer to him, resting its head on his chest.
The warm spring water washes away fatigue and rejuvenates the body.
"This feels so good." Shirakawa Natsu closed her eyes, enjoying the moment of comfort.
"How many times have we gone to the hot springs together?" the fox asked suddenly, lying in his arms.
"Huh?" Shirakawa Natsu was enjoying himself when the question startled him. He quickly recalled what he had done before replying, "The first time."
"Do I still need to think about it?" The fox turned around in his arms, their chests pressed together, a half-smile on his face. "Yeah, I've only ever showered with you, but you've probably showered with plenty of other women already."
Shirakawa Natsumi's smile was awkward. She hesitated for only a moment before trouble struck. The fox today was indeed different from usual.
The spring water was murky, and through the rising mist, the lower half of her body was vaguely visible. When she turned around, it was right against her lower abdomen, smooth and slippery.
He knew he couldn't get entangled in this kind of topic with a woman: "Right now, the only person I want to kiss is you."
After he finished speaking, he brought his face closer, and their lips touched.
The fox did not resist, and the two kissed.
"This is bad." Shirakawa Natsu raised her head and wiped the stringy residue from her lips. "It seems like it won't stop."
The fox smiled and bit his ear: "Me too."
The two bodies were close together underwater. After taking off their clothes, the fox's slender figure and smooth skin had almost no friction in the spring water.
Shirakawa Natsu opened his mouth and leaned against the edge, while the fox twisted its body back and forth in front of him.
Her face was flushed, but not with the shyness of other women; it was more like the blush of a wicked woman in control.
"Bite me." The fox's alluring eyes narrowed into slits as she brought her fair neck close to his mouth.
The breath of Shirakawa Natsu mixed with the steam from the hot spring.
Foxes are special; even though they look like humans, they constantly reveal that they are fundamentally different from humans.
Afterwards, the two ate a meal and returned to their room, where a quilt had already been laid out on the tatami mat.
"I'm exhausted." Shirakawa Natsu collapsed onto the bed. She had been out all day and then finished in the water. Although she felt great, she was still weak in her limbs. "I just want to sleep after eating."
After the lights were turned off in the room, moonlight shone through the glass, and the two...
"Sleep like this?" The fox lay down beside him, turned to face him, the collar of her yukata turned outward, revealing her folded chest, her fair skin seemingly bathed in moonlight.
"We'll probably be going to the forest again tomorrow; it's a long walk." Shirakawa Natsumi withdrew her gaze, using reason to control her body.
"Okay, that works too. I'm tired too." The fox smiled, lay down next to him, and kept her eyes on him. "The blanket is a bit cold. Can I hug you?"
Shirakawa Natsu looked into her eyes, swallowed, and nodded.
The two embraced, feeling the delicate body in his arms, and Shirakawa Natsumi said, "Actually, it'll be warmer if you take your clothes off, want to try?"
The next day, looking at the radiant fox in front of her, Shirakawa Natsumi wondered if she had the ability to absorb human essence.
"Cough cough." After two coughs, I felt a little better. My lungs weren't good, and even with the heart and kidneys of a minotaur, my body couldn't handle the strenuous exercise.
It seems we still need to replace the other organs with normal ones, otherwise something bad will happen sooner or later if things continue like this.
"Young man, you're all ready this morning!" The old lady greeted him warmly, holding a broom.
"Thank you," Shirakawa Natsumi said gratefully.
"Take care of yourself, I heard it from far away last night," the old lady said in a low voice with a smile.
"Uh." Shirakawa Natsumi felt a little embarrassed.
"It's alright, we've all been through this before." The old lady smiled and led the two to sit down at the table in the hall. "Eat up, don't be shy."
"Thank you." Shirakawa Natsumi took out her chopsticks. The dishes were simple but quite exquisite, showing that a lot of care had been put into them.
After the fox came out, it completely abandoned its gentle and refined perfect persona and casually put the green peppers it didn't want into Shirakawa Natsu's bowl.
He was speechless for a moment and could only smile wryly. He couldn't expect a fox to care about a balanced diet.
"Hmph." The old lady chuckled across the table. "Young man, you're just like my husband."
"Oh, what kind of person is your wife?" Shirakawa Natsu asked casually.
"Him?" The old lady put down her chopsticks, a flash of reminiscence in her eyes. "We were together because we liked each other, but we didn't have an easy time."
