Chapter 97 Ace and Luffy
Chapter 97 Ace and Luffy
Mary Geoise.
The bald-headed Five Elders, sword in hand, angrily declared, "This Minos is truly the culprit! Look what he's done to the New World!"
The five elders with the upturned mustache sighed, "Who would have thought! A moment of carelessness back then has led to Minos, that brat, becoming such a serious threat."
The long-bearded Five Elders said helplessly, "This situation is not what anyone wanted to see. The key is that Shanks took the initiative to propose dealing with Minos."
The blond-haired elder said in a deep voice, "Red-haired Shanks should be serious about cooperating."
The Five Elders, leaning on their canes, said helplessly, "It's mainly because Shanks' identity is a bit special that we chose to cooperate with him."
The room fell silent again, as if the discussion had never happened.
After a long silence, the Five Elders with the upturned mustache said helplessly, "Let's leave Minos to Shanks to deal with! We'll just wait and see."
I second that. The other five elders also agreed with the one with the upturned mustache.
……
Revolutionary Army Headquarters.
Long sat silently in his office chair, clearly indicating that the recent turmoil had brought considerable difficulties to their revolutionary army.
Sabo spoke up, "Mr. Dragon, what's troubling you?"
Long said bitterly, "The turmoil that Minos caused caught us off guard, resulting in the loss of a lot of supplies."
Sabo, hearing Long's words, looked distressed and said, "Yes! We've lost a lot of supplies, and many people are no longer cooperating with us."
After hearing Sabo's words, Dragon fell silent. He hadn't expected the turmoil this incident would cause to be so great.
After a long silence, Long said in a deep voice, "I want to meet Minos when I have the chance, and see what he thinks of our Revolutionary Army!"
Sabo said with a troubled expression, "According to the newspaper, Minos is a difficult fellow to deal with!"
Long said in a deep voice, "No matter what, we must meet with him. This concerns the future of our revolutionary army."
Sabo looked at the serious-faced Dragon and said in a deep voice, "Okay, Mr. Dragon. I will inform you as soon as I have news about him."
……
The remaining Shichibukai were also discussing Minos with their subordinates.
Hawkeye, Doflamingo, Boa Hancock, Jinbe, Kuma, and the other Shichibukai remained silent; the riots caused by Minos had even affected them.
Hawkeye and Bear's territories are mostly fine, but the others are in a much worse situation.
For example, Fishman Island, where Jinbe lived, was in a rather dire situation. Mermaids were being captured in large numbers, and during the riots, even Whitebeard's reputation was of no use.
Fortunately, Jinbe was very strong, and the Whitebeard Pirates sent a captain-level fighter to completely stop the riotous pirate attack.
Of course, the forces of Doflamingo, Boa Hancock, and others were also invaded, but they all managed to withstand the attack thanks to their own strength.
……
East China Sea, Windmill Town.
Ace and Luffy had just finished their battle and were now lying on the cliff, panting heavily.
Luffy said in frustration, "Ace, how come you're so strong? How come I still can't beat you!"
Ace glanced at the dejected Luffy and smiled: "How can a younger brother be stronger than his older brother!"
After hearing Ace's words, Luffy looked even more dejected.
Luffy said seriously, "Ace, recently a lot of pirates have appeared in our village, but they've all been driven away by Dadan, did you know that?"
After hearing Luffy's words, Ace said seriously, "Luffy, I know about this. I even went with Dadan and the others to deal with the pirates!"
Luffy exclaimed in surprise, "How come I didn't know you went to fight pirates with them!" Then, annoyed, he added, "Why didn't you call me?"
Ace chuckled softly after hearing Luffy's words: "Back then, I thought pirates were too powerful, so I wasn't planning to take you along..."
Ace paused for a moment, then looked at Luffy's strange gaze and continued, "After I fought Dadan, I realized that those pirates were very weak, like ordinary people who had just set sail."
After hearing Ace's words, Luffy asked in surprise, "Why do these pirates always think about invading villages?"
Ace looked at Luffy, who still didn't understand anything, and said seriously, "I heard that not only our village has been invaded by pirates, but other villages around here have also been invaded by pirates."
As Luffy listened to Ace's words, his expression became even more troubled.
After a long silence, Luffy said in distress, "Why did this happen? These pirates are not what I expected!"
Seeing Luffy's distress, Ace comforted him, "Luffy, as long as we don't become pirates like that in the future, it'll be fine!"
Luffy smiled again as he listened to Ace's comforting words: "Yeah! We're going to become free pirates, not bad pirates."
Ace looked at Luffy's smiling face and couldn't help but smile as well.
Just then, Ace suddenly remembered something and looked at Luffy seriously, saying, "Luffy, I heard that the recent pirate invasion in the East Blue is closely related to Minos."
Luffy asked, confused, "Who is Minos?!"
Ace was speechless as he looked at the bewildered Luffy; it seemed the kid had gone mad.
Ace shook his head helplessly: "It's the person in the newspaper I showed you last time."
Luffy scratched his head: "Oh, it was him! But what does it have to do with me?"
Ace looked at the silly-looking Luffy and said seriously, "I heard that he killed a high-ranking Marine officer, which caused the sea to riot."
Upon hearing Ace's words, Luffy exclaimed in surprise, "Navy! Isn't that where Grandpa lives?"
Ace nodded and said, "That's right, it was the force my grandfather belonged to. He killed a high-ranking general, which caused the sea riots."
Luffy said with a serious face, "Then he is a bad guy. He is the one who caused the sea to riot and our village to be invaded by pirates."
Ace smiled at Luffy's serious face: "Yeah! It's because of him that the sea is in chaos and our village has been invaded by pirates. When I set sail, I'm going to teach him a lesson."
Luffy smiled after hearing Ace's words: "Then I'll teach him a lesson when I go out to sea."
Ace smiled and said, "Luffy, by the time you set sail, he will have already been defeated by me."
Luffy scoffed, "Maybe you can't beat him! In that case, I'll be the one to save you."
Ace shouted, "How could that be? I don't need you to save me!"
As the two playfully bickered, quite some time passed. Suddenly, Luffy said dejectedly, "Ace, you should be setting sail soon, right?"
Seeing Luffy's dejected expression, Ace smiled gently: "Luffy, we're both going to set sail, it's just that I'm ahead of you."
Ace continued, "We'll definitely meet again. Maybe by then I'll be standing atop the sea. Luffy, you'd better do your best!"
Upon hearing Ace's words, Luffy excitedly exclaimed, "I will definitely be the first to become the Pirate King!"
Ace chuckled as he looked at the excited Luffy: "I'm definitely the first one to become the Pirate King."
……
P.S.: If we didn't give it a close-up like this, the riots in the New World would be meaningless.
P.S.: Sometimes, I'm in a real bind. (◣_◢)
