Chapter 284 The Weasleys' Wizarding Tricks
Chapter 284 The Weasleys' Wizarding Tricks
The next day arrived, and the morning sunlight gently shone on the windowpane. I stretched and snuggled up with Severus for a while longer. After we both got ready, a new day began.
As usual, I had breakfast with Severus.
In this quiet breakfast time, we didn't say much, only the occasional clinking of cutlery.
Severus remained as composed and reserved as ever, with a profound mystery in his eyes.
After breakfast, I prepared to go out to pick up Fred and George.
I met them at the Broken Axe Bar, a place filled with a magical atmosphere and laughter.
I was in a particularly relaxed mood throughout the journey, and the mischievous smiling faces of Fred and George were already in my mind.
Upon arriving at Broken Axe Bar, even before entering, one could hear bursts of lively laughter and conversation emanating from inside.
I pushed open the door, and a warm atmosphere and the aroma of wine wafted towards me.
I spotted Fred and George sitting in the corner, talking animatedly, surrounded by several people laughing heartily.
"Hey, sorry to keep you two waiting!" I called out loudly as I walked towards them.
When Fred and George saw me, they immediately stood up and each gave me a big hug.
"Look who's here! Oh, it's Ayers!" George grinned, revealing a set of white teeth.
"How have you been lately? Are you getting bored of being with Professor Snape?" Fred teased.
I smiled and shook my head: "Aren't you two afraid that I'll complain to Professor Snape about you talking badly about him?"
We found a table, sat down, and ordered a few butterbeers.
Fred and George began to tell me at length what pranks they had invented at Blake's old house.
We chatted and drank butterbeer, and time flew by.
The bar filled up, and the laughter grew louder. I suddenly realized that time with Fred and George was always so relaxing and enjoyable; they were like sunshine in a magical world, able to dispel all gloom.
“Ayers, didn’t you say you were going to take us to see our shop today?” Fred said.
“That’s right, Fred and I are already waiting impatiently,” George echoed.
I looked at them, smiled and nodded: "Okay, let's go! I'll show you your shop."
In my portfolio, there has always been a blank shop in Diagon Alley.
That was reserved for Fred and George Weasley a long time ago.
I led them through the streets and finally stopped in front of that empty shop.
"This is it!" I pushed open the shop door. "Welcome to your future prank prop shop!"
The twins stared wide-eyed at the empty shop in front of them, unable to believe their eyes.
After a long while, Fred stammered, "This is our shop?"
George was also flushed with excitement. He gripped my hand tightly and said in a slightly trembling voice, "Thank you so much! This is the best dream we've ever had!"
The three of us walked into the shop together, and the other two happily began to imagine what the place would look like in the future.
The twins were excitedly discussing how to arrange the shelves and what novel prank props to display.
They became more and more excited as they talked, as if they could already see the bustling scene after the store opened.
“We can put vomit candy here, and a wand that moves on its own!” Fred gestured excitedly.
“And the magic fart cushion is sure to be a huge hit!” George added.
Seeing their passionate and hopeful expressions, I knew that this place would become the starting point for their dreams.
I'm also happy to see them bustling around planning their shops.
“You can start decorating your shops now. I brought you here today to set them up. I can list out all the decorations you need.” I handed them two quill pens and two notebooks.
I stood quietly by the window, my gaze fixed on Fred and George.
They were enthusiastically designing the shop, looking as if the whole world consisted only of them and this wondrous new world about to be born.
Fred gestured with his hands, describing the placement of the cabinets in detail, his eyes full of anticipation.
George nodded from time to time and occasionally offered some novel ideas. The two heads were close together, like two stars shining with the light of wisdom.
Their smiles were like flowers blooming in spring, radiant and pure, infecting everything around them.
I just watched them quietly, and a warm feeling welled up inside me.
They were the most active members of Hogwarts, lighting up every corner of the campus with countless pranks and laughter.
Now, they are finally going to have their own space to turn those wonderful ideas into reality.
This shop is their dream haven and their stage for free expression.
Seeing their happy faces, the corners of my mouth couldn't help but turn up slightly.
I can almost see this shop becoming the liveliest spot in Diagon Alley in the future.
Children will choose from a variety of magical toys here, and adults will also be attracted by the novelties.
Fred and George would stand behind the counter, warmly greeting customers while sharing their creative stories.
Their happiness comes not only from the prospect of owning a shop, but also from pursuing what they love.
In this process, they can unleash their imagination without restraint and turn life into an adventure full of surprises.
And I feel fortunate to be able to witness this beautiful moment for them.
Perhaps, that's how life is: when we give our all for our dreams, happiness will follow us everywhere.
"How's your design coming along? If you have any design drafts you can show me now, I can find someone to process them right away, and we can probably get a rough outline out for you today." I suddenly said, watching their enthusiastic discussion.
There's a manufacturing plant near Diagon Alley that belongs to my family. If those two had design drafts, they could probably put some cabinets and furniture in this empty shop today.
"Really? Ayers, look at this cabinet I drew here, can you guys make it?" Fred excitedly ran to my side and handed me the sketch he had drawn in his notebook.
“And this one I drew, I want a cabinet like that too.” George walked over to my other side and handed me his notebook.
“Let’s go ask together. My family’s manufacturing plant is nearby.” I took both of their notebooks in my hands.
We locked the shop door and headed towards the manufacturing factory.
I led Fred and George into my own manufacturing plant.
As soon as we stepped inside, the factory leader, like a nimble owl, quickly darted through the busy crowd to warmly greet us.
This factory is not large, and it has a small number of employees, but each of them is a wizard with unique skills.
The wands in their hands were like nimble paintbrushes, waving gently in the air and shimmering with a mysterious light.
Each exquisite piece of furniture and decorative item gradually takes shape under this magical influence, as if it were born from nothingness and has a life of its own.
The leader led us through a work area filled with various semi-finished products, the light of magic wands twinkling around us like stars.
A short while later, we arrived at a reception room.
The room was decorated in a warm and comfortable style, with some ancient and mysterious magical paintings hanging on the walls, emitting a faint magical fluctuation.
I took out the notebook that Fred and George had carefully designed from my pocket and solemnly handed it to the leader.
He took the notebook, his eyes instantly lighting up with excitement, as if he had discovered a treasure.
He flipped through the pages quickly, a satisfied smile on his face, and occasionally let out a sound of amazement.
"This design is fantastic!" The leader looked up, his eyes full of admiration. "Please wait a moment, I'll arrange for someone to make it right away, and we'll have the finished product ready for you soon." With that, he hurriedly left the reception room.
Fred, George, and I sat on the soft sofa, our hearts filled with anticipation.
Fred rubbed his hands together and said excitedly, "I really hope they can perfectly replicate our design."
George nodded repeatedly, his eyes fixed on the doorway, as if he could already see the exquisite items appearing before him.
Time passed slowly as we waited, and a tense yet exciting atmosphere filled the room.
Suddenly, footsteps sounded outside the door, and the leader led several wizards in, carrying the items they had just made.
We stood up eagerly, and the items in front of us caught our eye.
The furniture and decorative items were made exactly according to our design, with every detail handled perfectly. A magical light flowed over them, making them look exceptionally exquisite.
Fred and George were so excited that their faces turned red. They circled the items again and again, marveling at them.
I was also stunned by the sight before me. The wizards in my own factory were indeed highly skilled, creating such a wonderful work of art with magic.
"Young master, what do you think of the finished product?" the leader asked respectfully.
"Very good, we like it very much. Is there anything we can take with us?" I was very satisfied with my own manufacturing plant. It seems that Butler Chen really knows how to manage his own business.
"Young master, you can just take this box and collect all the finished products." The leader came out with a very nice, palm-sized box, quickly collected all the finished products, and then handed the box to Fred and the others.
"Okay, then we'll be leaving now. If I need anything made by you, I'll come back to you." I nodded in satisfaction and left with Fred and George.
"Yes, young master, take care." The leader respectfully saw us off and left.
When we returned to the shop, Fred and George rushed up to me like two excited flames, their eyes full of curiosity and amazement.
They asked eagerly, "Hey, when did you start owning such a powerful manufacturing plant?"
Seeing their eager and surprised expressions, I smiled and slowly said, "This factory was actually set up for the two of you."
Fred and George were stunned. They stared at each other, seemingly unable to believe their ears.
I continued, “This is a joke prop workshop. I know you’ve always been passionate about novel and interesting joke props, and I came up with this idea so you wouldn’t have to work so hard in the future. I thought that with such a professional manufacturing plant, you could focus more on developing new props and bringing more fun things to everyone.”
Fred scratched his head, somewhat moved, and said, "Wow, I never expected this... We've always wanted to expand our business of these joke props, but sometimes our energy is just limited. I never imagined you would do so much for us quietly."
George nodded vigorously beside him, his eyes sparkling: "That's right, we did everything ourselves when making props before, from design to production, and it was really exhausting. With this manufacturing plant, we can turn more of our ideas into reality!"
I smiled and patted them on the shoulder: "Your passion and creativity for joke props are unparalleled. I believe this manufacturing plant will take your business to the next level. From now on, go for it and bring all those strange and wonderful ideas to life."
Then Fred and George hurriedly brought out the custom-made furniture and decorations.
The items were diverse and full of the Weasley brothers' unique style, including oddly shaped magical toy display shelves and wall lamps that shimmered with mysterious light, clearly the result of their meticulous design.
I took out two spare wands and handed them to them.
Although the two wands were exquisitely designed, they were not the ones they had been working on for a long time. When they took them, a hint of novelty and doubt flashed in their eyes.
“After all, you haven’t graduated yet. We can’t use our own wands while we’re out here, so let’s just use the spare ones,” I said to them.
Fred tried waving it, but the magical light dimmed slightly. He frowned and joked, "This little guy isn't very obedient to me yet." George also tried, and similarly felt a bit awkward casting the spell. However, he optimistically said, "It's okay, we'll get used to it. Maybe it'll become obedient in the future."
Ignoring the minor issue with the wand, the two immediately began decorating the shop.
Fred stood beside the display shelf, using his somewhat clumsy wand to cast a levitation spell to steadily place the magical toys onto the shelf, while directing George to adjust their positions.
George then took the wall lamps and used magic to levitate them to the appropriate height before fixing them to the wall.
The soft glow emitted by the wall lamps instantly created a warm and inviting atmosphere in the shop.
They also placed several huge magic boxes in the corner of the shop, which can automatically sort and store goods.
The Weasley brothers cast a spell on the box, and it hummed as if it were joyfully welcoming the upcoming cargo.
As time went by, the once empty shop gradually came to life.
The magical toys on the display shelves shimmered enticingly, wall lamps illuminated every corner, and iconic posters of the Weasley Joke Shop hung on the walls.
Looking at the newly renovated shop, Fred and George exchanged a satisfied smile.
"Look how nice our shop is now," Fred said, hands on his hips, beaming with pride.
“Yes, this place will definitely become a paradise for Hogwarts students in the future,” George replied with a smile.
Looking at their achievements, I was also inspired by their enthusiasm and creativity.
With their management, this fantastical shop is sure to be a great success, becoming a unique and bustling presence in the magical world.
