33-3 Wings of the Dark Sky

Lei Yan couldn't even leave a single burn mark. For the first time, Mo Bei felt the powerlessness of his fist. The Chaotic Beast's empty eyes shone with a dim light, and Dongfang Yun knew something was wrong.

Laser beams shot out from behind the Chaotic Time Beast, a ball of light condensing in its mouth. Mo Bei tried to pull his fist back but couldn't; he was trapped inside the Chaotic Time Beast. He increased his output of lightning and flames, which spread outwards. Just as Dongfang Yun's ice spikes were launched, the Chaotic Time Beast unleashed a beam of light, and the lightning and flames rebounded, scorching Mo Bei. The ice spikes that swept past coalesced into a single mass, scattering starlight, and subsequent ice spikes struck the Chaotic Time Beast without causing a ripple.

Mo Bei watched in despair as the Chaotic Beasts' orbs of light grew ever larger; the lightning and flames dimmed, and the ice pillars shattered.

Dongfang Yun sensed a familiar presence. In the instant he turned his head, a hand blade flew towards the Chaotic Beast, grazing his cheek. Amidst the shimmering glass, a figure wielding a cleaver charged forward, starlight flowing from the cleaver's core, and a surge of energy flowing through the crystal pillar. By the time Dongfang Yun regained his senses and looked at the Chaotic Beast, the figure's cleaver had already pierced the orb of light in the beast's mouth. After the orb was pushed into the beast's mouth, it pulled Mo Bei away. Mo Bei hadn't even had time to react before he was dragged away, and then he witnessed a magnificent fireworks display.

Mo Bei was taken back to Dongfang Yun. Just as Dongfang Yun was about to express his gratitude, the figure vanished without a trace, leaving only a bewildered Mo Bei and a gaping Dongfang Yun.

The two returned to the Mo Yun ship. Mo Bei, barely recovered, asked, "Yun'er, who was that? What is the Chaotic Time Beast? It's so strong, yet we couldn't defeat it, and most importantly, it attacked people randomly. I wouldn't have done that." Dongfang Yun lay on the bed, her eyes slightly moving. The Mo Yun ship automatically docked with the Tianyin Wing and moored on the ship's platform.
