Chapter 64 Zombie World - 9

Upon hearing Blade say that Wanda, the Queen of the Dead, had gone to New Asgard, Vega immediately panicked. If she were to gain control of Thor and the surviving Asgardians, the conflict between the two sides would become even more difficult.

Vega raised his hand and opened the Spark portal to Norway, leading the group over. He closed his eyes and sensed for a moment, then grabbed Blade's collar and flew rapidly toward the direction where he sensed the most life force. Igor and Captain Marvel followed without hesitation.

In less than a minute, the group arrived at their destination.

Unlike the town in the Marvel movies, this Asgardian outpost is a huge defensive fortress built against the mountainside.

Landing in front of the tightly closed stone gate, which was dozens of meters high, Vega carefully sensed the surroundings and found that most of the life forms inside were radiating joyful emotions. He immediately breathed a sigh of relief, as it seemed that his worries had not yet materialized.

"You are not welcome here. Please leave immediately." The figure of Valkyrie, dressed in combat attire and wielding a long spear, appeared in the gap between the top of the gate and the mountain.

The situation was urgent, and Vega wasn't going to waste time with idle chatter like some unreliable superheroes. He went straight to the point: "Is Scarlet Witch Wanda here?"

"The King of Sokovia is indeed here. Are you here to see her? I will pass on your message after the feast of the gods. Wait outside." Valkyrie's attitude was extremely arrogant. After speaking, she turned to retreat.

Vega disliked Valkyrie's attitude, but to avoid trouble, he suppressed his annoyance and explained, "Ha, the Scarlet Witch has long been a zombie. She's the Queen of the Dead now, and she's here to turn you all into zombies too!"

Valkyrie simply didn't believe it, retorting, "That's impossible! She looks like a normal person, and she can communicate normally!"

Vega pulled the blade away: "He is Kongsu's messenger and also possesses Kongsu's spiritual power. Let them tell you if it's true."

Blade nodded calmly. Seeing that Valkyrie still didn't believe him, a faint golden light burst forth from his body, and a huge bird head with dozens of black cloth strips fluttering behind it appeared above him.

Valkyrie's face turned deathly pale instantly. Before Kong Su's projection could speak, she turned and jumped down the stone gate, running inside while hysterically shouting, "The food is poisoned! Everyone stop eating!!!"

"Looks like we'll have to go in ourselves." Vega said, grabbing Blade's collar and trying to fly him through the gap above the stone door. Meanwhile, the hot-tempered Captain Marvel used her power to crash straight into the stone door!

With a loud crash, she smashed the several-meter-thick door to pieces. Vega and Igris exchanged a glance and immediately followed her.

Behind the stone gate is a wide and tall passageway, with dozens of stone warrior sculptures, each over thirty meters tall, clad in armor and wielding long spears, lined up on both sides.

These stone warrior sculptures, adorned with numerous runes, emanate energy fluctuations, clearly indicating they are not mere decorations.

However, Vega and the others didn't have time to look closely and followed Valkyrie into a lively hall.

Thousands of Asgardians gathered here to spar, perform, enjoy wine, or eat.

The heavy stone doors of the hall were pushed open, and the lively atmosphere suddenly became quiet. Everyone looked at Valkyrie in astonishment.

Valkyrie roared, "Everyone, drop your food! The food is poisoned!!! The King of Sokovia is a zombie!!!"

Everyone was stunned. They looked at the fine wine in their hands, the delicious food on the table, and then at Wanda, who stood gracefully beside the throne in the center of the hall, elegant and beautiful. Then, many people burst into joyful laughter.

"Hahaha~, Valkyrie, are you drunk?"

"Yes, yes, how could such delicious food be poisonous?"

"How could the beautiful and kind Queen Maximov be a zombie? Valkyrie, you cannot slander our distinguished guest like this! Apologize to her immediately!"

"Are you upset because you can't attend the banquet because you're on duty? How about I go and cover your duty while you stay here?"

Vega shoved Valkyrie aside, glanced around, raised his right hand and waved it, sending crimson phoenix energy sweeping across the area. He then sneered, "Is this the food and wine you all enjoy?"

"Ahhhh!!!" Terrified screams rose and fell, and then everyone began to desperately try to induce vomiting by gagging themselves.

The Phoenix Force dispelled the chaos magic Wanda had cast on the food and wine. What were those food and wine? They were clearly zombie limbs, organs, and blood!

"I'll kill you!" Valkyrie felt that everything was over when she saw Wanda, who had caused all this, standing there with a smile on her face. Her intense anger and hatred overwhelmed her reason, and she raised her spear and charged at Wanda.

"You're too late." Wanda looked at Vega and the other three, and slowly raised her right hand and waved it lightly. Valkyrie, who was rushing forward, was sent flying backward as if hit by a hundred-ton king, smashing through two stone pillars with a diameter of one meter and crashing to the ground.

"That's not necessarily true." Vega chuckled, placing the hammerhead of the Hammer of Punishment on the ground. Green-gold purifying light erupted from his body, instantly covering everyone in the hall. The quantum virus that was slowly taking effect in all the infected people immediately began to evaporate and disappear rapidly.

The purifying light also worked on Wanda, but she reacted instantly by mobilizing the chaotic power within her to dispel and annihilate it.

After protecting herself, Wanda tried to interrupt Vega's spell, but as soon as she raised her hands, Captain Marvel was already charging in front of her, fists waving.

There was no time to dodge, so Wanda quickly crossed her arms in front of her chest and unleashed her chaotic power to take Captain Marvel's powerful punch head-on.

With a loud bang, Wanda was sent flying.

After being sent flying more than ten meters away, Wanda regained her footing, conjured a magic cube whip, bound Captain Marvel who was rushing towards her, and slammed her against the wall. Then she was hit by the terrible lasers that Igris fired from his eyes.

Wanda screamed as she crashed through three stone pillars before realizing what was happening and unleashing a burst of powerful energy that briefly blocked the laser. But she had no chance to retaliate because Captain Marvel charged at her again.

Seeing that Captain Marvel and Igorith had temporarily subdued Wanda, Vega maintained the Purifying Light as he walked toward the throne.

Thor was sitting right there, and even Vega was impressed. Despite the commotion, he could sit quietly with his head down and not move an inch.

If it weren't for the powerful life force he could still sense emanating from Thor, Vega would have thought Wanda had secretly killed him...
