Lu Mingfei felt that every second of the burning process felt like a year.
He curled up on the ground, his vision blurred and distorted by sweat and tears of excruciating pain:
A glance swept over the indifferent figure wielding a spatula in the kitchen, and then over to the two timid, numb "family members" on the sofa.
Why? Why?
An uncontrollable, violent roar exploded wildly in his heart!
"Go to hell, all of you!!!"
How could this family do this! They suck his blood and eat his flesh! Isn't that enough?
We need to push him to the brink of death!
All the anger and resentment of the past were ignited by this soul-burning fire at this moment.
A scorching power exploded deep within his bones!
His curled-up body suddenly stiffened!
A glimmer of gold suddenly shone in his bloodshot eyes.
"Ugh—ah!" He forced himself to stand up despite the burning pain.
Lu Mingfei rested his hands on his thighs, panting heavily.
Large beads of sweat kept dripping from his forehead onto the cold solid wood floor, quickly forming a small puddle.
But he still didn't fall.
He raised his head, revealing his face as pale as paper.
A pair of bloodshot eyes stared intently at Lu Mingze and his uncle on the sofa, then turned to look at the bloated figure in the kitchen.
His uncle and Lu Mingze were so frightened by his bloodshot eyes and pale face that they turned their heads away, not daring to look at him.
Lu Mingfei made up his mind.
He was determined to send this family to hell.
He wants them to pay back everything they owe him.
He closed his eyes, and the fiery energy within his body slowly subsided.
He dragged his feet to the water dispenser.
He picked up the cup and started drinking cold water, one cup after another.
He didn't stop until the tenth cup.
Seeing that he hadn't moved for a while, the aunt in the kitchen barked and rushed out of the kitchen again.
"What are you dawdling for? Are you looking for trouble?"
Lu Mingze and his uncle huddled together, their necks hunched.
They were terrified of being caught in the crossfire of this overwhelming rage.
She swung the Great Heavenly Prisoner Shovel at Lu Mingfei once more.
But Lu Mingfei was faster than her.
He turned around.
"Snapped!"
He slapped her fat arm.
The "Great Wilderness Prisoner's Shovel," symbolizing absolute power within the family, flew out of his hand!
Bang!
The shovel landed on the floor at the feet of Lu Mingze and his uncle, who were shivering.
The aunt was completely stunned by the sharp pain in her wrist and the sudden change in events!
She clutched her numb wrist, her fleshy face contorted with rage, disbelief, and finally, a furious expression of having her desire for control trampled upon.
The roar brewing in his throat transformed into a wild boar's howl that shattered the houses and tore through the night sky:
"They've rebelled!!!!"
Chapter 3 Congratulations, Mr. Lu Mingfei!
"Shut up!!!"
Lu Mingfei roared, startling his aunt who was howling, and she froze on the spot.
But she quickly realized that the urge to control rose again from her obese body.
She immediately seized the moral high ground and launched into a tirade against Lu Mingfei.
"You, Lu Mingfei, all these years my family has supported your schooling, provided you with food and drink, and given you a place to live. What more could you possibly want?"
"You actually dare to lay a hand on me? You think you've grown wings and want to fly the sky?"
Lu Mingfei felt his anger, which had subsided earlier, reignite at this moment.
He stared at the face in front of him, a face full of fleshy bulges.
His already sharp and mean face made him feel even more disgusted and nauseous at this moment.
"What a joke! Do you really think I'm stupid? That I can't see through what you're doing?"
"Without the money my parents sent, how could you afford that BMW? How could you lose at mahjong every day? How could my uncle keep buying those counterfeit luxury goods? How could my cousin get into a prestigious school like Shilan Middle School?"
"You suck my blood and eat my flesh, and instead of helping me, you despise and ostracize me at every turn!"
"Let me tell you, I, Lu Mingfei, owe your family nothing, not a single penny!"
Lu Mingfei's accusations made the fat on his aunt's face tremble.
"Good, good, good! Lu Mingfei! You've really grown up! Your wings have hardened enough to pierce the sky!"
She pointed at Lu Mingfei's nose, her shouts drowning out the news broadcast, spittle flying everywhere.
"Have a clear conscience! If your uncle and I hadn't taken you in, you'd probably be begging under some bridge right now!"
"It's us! We gave you a decent home! We provided for your schooling, and we fed you and provided for your shelter!"
"Your parents sent money? Yes! They sent money! But what can that little bit of money do?!" Her voice suddenly rose.
"Over the years, every penny has gone to be spent on groceries, water and electricity bills, property management fees, and everything else!"
"Which one of these wasn't saved through your uncle's tireless overtime work and my careful budgeting?!"
She clutched her wrist, her voice filled with the indignation of an accuser.
"Mingze has been sensible since he was little, and he gets good grades! He's sure to be successful in the future! We'll support him even if it means emptying our savings!"
"And you?! I'm supposed to study, and you come in last place?!"
A mixture of heartache and disdain appeared on her aunt's face.
"You think that car was bought for us?! Huh?!"
"That was bought so that it would be convenient to take your younger brother, Lu Mingze, to school, tutoring, and activities, so as not to hinder his future!"
"You can't even absorb anything from a book, what's the point of sending you there?"
"Making you walk and take the bus is to toughen you up and let you experience life! You ungrateful wretch!"
"Playing mahjong? Buying some things? What's wrong?!" Her voice suddenly rose again, carrying a kind of reckless arrogance.
She pointed back and forth between herself and her uncle, saying, "Which aspect of life, both at home and outside, doesn't require social interaction and courtesy?!"
"Your uncle dresses decently, and I lose some money at the card table to maintain relationships—isn't it all so this family can stay afloat?!"
"Isn't it all for you two to have some connections in the future?! And you're using that as an excuse to argue about it?!"
His aunt's spittle sprayed in front of Lu Mingfei's eyes, but Lu Mingfei knew he couldn't back down now.
If he backs down now, he's lost!
"We suck your blood and eat your flesh, have we ever mistreated you?! When have you ever gone hungry?!"
"It's your own fault for being incompetent! You deserve to be ashamed for getting the lowest score! You suffer injustice and exclusion in this family?!"
"It's your own dark heart that makes you see everyone as an enemy! You ask us to ostracize you just because we're asked to do something?!"
Every word the aunt uttered was filled with self-pity and denial of Lu Mingfei.
She became more and more agitated as she spoke, as if her family were the victims who had suffered a great injustice and betrayal.
"You don't owe us anything?! Bah! You owe this family five years of nurturing! You ungrateful wretch!!"
In the end, the aunt was almost roaring; she seemed to be exhausted from yelling and was breathing rapidly.
After she finished speaking, Lu Mingfei calmly extended his right palm.
"Give it to me! Give me the bank card that my parents use to send money!"
"Tomorrow we'll go to the bank to print out our bank statements, and then we'll know the truth!"
As soon as he finished speaking, his aunt gasped for breath and looked at Lu Mingfei in disbelief.
When did this kid become so smart?
Uncle's hunched neck peeked out of the turtle shell like a tortoise.
He frowned, knowing that if he didn't act soon, things would go wrong.
He knew that what Lu Mingfei said was true.
His wife, the "tiger mom," is just using a fallacy to mislead people.
If Lu Mingfei were to actually go to the bank to print out his bank statement and then expose this matter... the consequences would be unimaginable.
For the rest of their lives, this family will never be able to hold their heads high in front of their neighbors; they'll be drowned in the spittle of others.
He picked up the remote, turned off the TV, stood up, and yelled at the two of them:
"Enough, haven't you two argued enough? Aren't you embarrassed enough already?"
His shout broke her down, and she plopped down on the ground and started wailing.
