Chapter 606 Revenge
Fred and George wanted to get back to Diagon Alley and run their shop as soon as possible, so they naturally didn't want to stay at Hogwarts any longer.
But for other students, this period before the holidays is invaluable. Because during this time they can sleep in until they naturally wake up every day, without worrying about what Voldemort is doing or seeing the Dark Mark in the sky.
What was once an ordinary life became incredibly precious after Voldemort's return.
On their last day at school, most students had received their exam results. At that moment, their joy or sorrow over their grades temporarily outweighed their fear of Voldemort.
However, the results for the fifth-grade 0.WL and the seventh-grade NEWT exams are exceptions; the results for those two exams will not be released until a month into the holiday and will be delivered directly to the home by owls.
With the exception of a very few (Hermione), most students were happy with the result, as it meant that no matter their grades, they would at least have a decent vacation.
In the evening, most students packed their bags and went downstairs to attend the end-of-term banquet.
Siren packed his clothes and books and walked out of the common room with the Weasley brothers.
"Shillon, are you really planning to kill Malfoy on the train?" Fred asked.
"What?"
“We’ve all heard,” George poked his head out from the other side. “Lucius Malfoy attacked you in Diagon Alley, and so you’re ready for revenge—”
"The first step is to take down Draco."
"Then give his head as a gift to Lucius—"
"Oh, wait a minute," Xilun quickly interrupted them.
They've already presented Draco's head as a gift; if they keep talking, who knows what other shocking things they might say.
"Who told you I was going to kill Malfoy?" Siron asked.
"That's what everyone says," Fred blinked. "What, is it not true?"
"Of course not," Celen said irritably. "Do I look like a psychopathic killer?"
Fred and George didn't speak, but looked Xilen up and down for a while, and nodded thoughtfully.
"It's like it, very much like it—"
"Yeah, you know—it's the kind of villain who looks harmless but is actually ruthless and vicious."
"You guys really should watch less Muggle TV channels," Sirius said with a look of disgust. "Killing Draco Malfoy on a train? Do you really think Dumbledore's gone senile? Or do you think I could take him down with me?"
"Dumbledore—" Fred whispered, "He probably won't care about this, will he?"
"After all, Lucius Malfoy is a Death Eater—"
“But Draco Malfoy wasn’t,” Sirius said. “Before he actually engaged in Death Eater activities, he was still just like us, a Hogwarts student, and under the protection of Headmaster Dumbledore.”
"I understand!" George suddenly shouted, startling Celen.
"What do you understand?"
"So, you still want to get rid of Draco Malfoy, right?" George said confidently. "You're just worried about Dumbledore."
Is that correct?
Is that so?
Do you really think he's a psychopathic killer? He's a model student.
Xilun ignored them and continued walking towards the auditorium, wondering who had leaked the information.
Not many people knew about this, but there were also quite a few. Besides Hermione, Malfoy, and his two henchmen, there were a few Gryffindor students around.
Well, that's not surprising now. It's common knowledge that Gryffindor has no secrets.
No matter how secretive something is, if more than three Gryffindor students know about it, then the whole of Hogwarts knows about it.
"So you're just going to let Malfoy go like that?" Fred caught up from behind, no longer joking.
"Let him go? How could that be!" Sirens shook his head. "I'll treat Draco the same way Lucius treated me. Although he didn't use the Killing Curse on me back then, he didn't do nothing either."
"I understand—" Fred nodded meaningfully.
"If you want to teach Malfoy a lesson—"
"Please be sure to take us with you."
"We've been wanting to teach Malfoy a lesson for a long time."
9
"And they are very experienced."
"Experience?" Siren raised an eyebrow. "You guys fought him?"
"Of course," Fred said smugly. "Remember three years ago?"
"At Flourish and Blotts."
"We and Dad gave them a good beating."
"Weren't you there at the time?"
Then Xiren remembered that they were talking about the conflict they had at Flourish and Blotts when they started second grade.
But did Fred and George play at that time?
It's been a while, and he can't remember clearly.
However, Xilun nodded in agreement.
"Since you insist so much—no problem."
"Alright," Fred said with a grin. "We'll wait for you in the carriage."
"Which carriage?" Siren asked.
"Aren't you going to do it on the train?" George said. "Let's get up early tomorrow and try to get a good spot."
""
"No, no, no, I've changed my mind too," Celen said thoughtfully. "Now that word has spread, Malfoy will definitely know. What if he doesn't take the train tomorrow?"
Portkeys, Knight Bus, Apparition—Sirion himself knew several ways to leave Hogwarts, let alone a wealthy pure-blood wizard like Malfoy.
"So I'm going to make my move tonight." Celen narrowed his eyes.
Fred and George's eyes lit up, and they were even happier.
"Aren't you afraid of breaking school rules?"
"It's okay, as long as we don't get caught," Siron said.
"That's right." Fred and George exchanged a glance and then chuckled.
When Celen reached the entrance on the first floor, Fred and George were going to another place, so Celen went into the auditorium alone.
There was still some time before the banquet began, but the auditorium had already been decorated with blue and bronze banners.
Because Gryffindor, who were in first place, had all their points deducted, and Snape was lax at the end of the school year and failed to give Slytherin as many points as in previous years, Ravenclaw successfully surpassed Slytherin to become number one by a narrow margin of five points.
The Ravenclaws were overjoyed. They considered themselves the smartest students at Hogwarts, but had never won a House Cup in all these years. This year, they finally broke this embarrassing record.
But this displeased Slytherin.
Siren noticed that each of them was glaring at the Ravenclaw students, without a trace of a smile on their faces.
Then he saw Draco Malfoy, who immediately turned his head away in a panic after their eyes met.
It seems my guess was right; he really did hear that rumor. And what's even worse is that he doesn't trust me?
