Lucy: "I feel like... the world is playing a huge joke on me!"
Happy: "Uh...they're having an affair~~~"
Natsu: "Huh??? Huh??? Ahhhhh???"
Gajeel: "Natsu, what the hell? It has nothing to do with you. It's Black Natsu over there."
Erza: "I don't know why... but I have this feeling that this is something that absolutely cannot happen. My heart is extremely resistant to it. What the hell is this?"
Eileen: "That stupid dragon! What kind of crazy ideas are those?!"
"My father should never have saved that stupid dragon! How could it have come up with such a plan! What a bastard!!!"
August: "Eileen, calm down, calm down. At least... this is infinitely better than that general or something, right?"
Eileen: "Wow, what's so good about this?"
"I was already in my early twenties back then, where was that little brat?"
"Only ten years old! Ten years old!!!"
"He's just a cute little boy, how could I possibly do that?!"
"That would be illegal nowadays!"
Jelf: "Um... well... actually I kind of agree, really!"
Mavis: 5.8 "Don't think I don't know what you're thinking, Jelf!"
"However... I quite agree, hahaha, I really wonder if Natsu over there will accept it, I'm so looking forward to it!"
August: "In that case, I agree!"
Maldogil: "I don't know why, but I always feel like this is better? Oh well, whatever, I agree!"
Erza: "I object! I object, absolutely object! This is unethical. An adult and a child, isn't that absurd?"
Hades: "It's chaos, utter chaos! Well then, I agree, hahaha!"
Brian: "The other bigwigs in the dark world have all agreed, so I'll join in."
Uru: "Um, although it's pretty explosive, what I like most is helping others achieve their goals, and I agree with that!"
Gray: "Master, you've got a brilliant idea! Hahaha, this kind of thing looks really interesting, so I agree!"
Ultear: "It's all a mess! Everyone's in a mess! What are you guys even talking about?!"
Melty: "Yeah, why is there suddenly so much agreement? That's so strange!"
Eileen: "You're all crazy! You're all crazy! What a load of rubbish! You're all insane!"
Chapter Sixty-Six Bercelion: So what if you wait for him for ten years?
[In the celestial display, Eileen's reactions in both worlds were remarkably identical.]
Clearing her throat twice, Eileen wiped her mouth with her sleeve, then looked at Belserion with an expression as if he were an idiot.
"Are you crazy, or am I?!"
Eileen's voice was filled with horror.
"That Natsu is just a child! He's just a child! A child around ten years old!!"
"How could something like this... how could this possibly happen?!"
Berserion, who had been sprayed in the face, was not angry upon hearing this.
He shook his head, wiping the tea off his cheeks, and said earnestly.
"Actually, you shouldn't think like that, Eileen."
"When I came back before, I noticed that you and Natsu seemed to be very close, ever since your father, the old king, passed away."
"I've never seen you smile like that before. That proves you trust Natsu completely. Only this way can you feel free, right?"
Berserion's words seemed to silence Irene.
She had her head down, seemingly deep in thought.
After a long pause, she stammered, "That's because... because I was answering his question, and I could sense that Natsu didn't have any ulterior motives. He really just wanted a good meal."
"In this day and age, there are very few people who possess such a pure heart."
28. [“But isn’t that also one of the reasons you like him?”]
Bercelion's tone held a hint of amusement.
[Eileen: "I... that's certainly attractive, but..."]
"But what? There are no buts."
Bercelion interrupted Irene.
"That kid is very strong. He's so young, yet he can slay a dragon single-handedly. I even see new possibilities for dragon-slaying magic in him."
"He's no ordinary man!" Bercelion exclaimed.
Then, the enormous dragon head turned to look at Eileen.
"So tell me, someone with a good personality, decent looks, and most importantly, formidable strength, even boasting a record of defeating a dragon, is a remarkable individual."
"If you're truly interested in something like this, what's wrong with waiting for ten years?"
"After all, for you Dragon Slayer Mages, the closer your bodies become to a dragon, the closer your lifespan will become to that of a dragon."
"A ten-year age gap is nothing compared to the historical context of hundreds of years, isn't it?"
Eileen opened her mouth, but seemed unable to find any words to refute it.
[Then she frantically scratched her long, crimson hair.]
"But...but...I still can't quite accept it."
Her brows furrowed deeply as she complained.
"That little brat... he's not even fully developed yet... and I... I'm just going to rush up there? That's a bit too much..."
"So that's what you were worried about? Hahahaha!"
Berserion stroked his beard with his dragon claws and let out a hearty laugh.
"Oh no, no, what on earth are you thinking all day, you stupid dragon?"
Eileen sighed and facepalmed.
Then, as if remembering something, he immediately turned around and questioned Berserion.
"By the way, what you're saying has absolutely nothing to do with the predicament we're facing?"
"Of course!" Berserion replied confidently.
"I'm asking you, why is Dylan in such a hurry to negotiate a marriage alliance with the Kingdom of Selby?"
"Perhaps it's out of fear, or perhaps it's because of some shady business, but in any case, I don't trust this guy. If it weren't for the fact that he assisted my father..."
[Eileen responded.]
Berserion nodded slightly: "That's right, a large part of the reason is fear of those menacing dragons."
"That's why they're so anxious to win over allies."
"But, as I just said in the meeting, can a nation that doesn't even have titled dragons, and only has a few ordinary dragons, really help us in this war?"
"The answer is obvious: no."
"Then what's the use of this peace of mind? It's better to focus on someone else."
Irene looked at Belserion suspiciously: "You mean... Natsu?"
“That’s right,” Belserion nodded.
[He then added, "Of course, it depends on your own attitude. If you're unwilling, then we'll have to find other ways to bind this extraordinary genius to our side."]
"However... if you're interested... that would be even better."
"You were right before. I can't forget the scene where that boy shot down the dragon. It was so shocking; it's hard to imagine that he was only about ten years old."
At this point, Berserion gently shook his head.
"To be honest, I've never seen such talent in my life. I've only heard of a legend about a half-dragon, half-human being somewhere in Ishgar."
He then looked at Eileen: "What if such a being officially joined us...?"
"So, does this prove that even humans can truly slay dragons?"
"Has it played a positive role for our army and our people?"
"In fact, for evil dragons, which would they fear more: an existence that threatens their lives and has an unlimited future of growth, or a kingdom so worthless they wouldn't even give it a second glance?"
Eileen: "That damn dragon, he's actually brainwashing me from that other world?!"
"Damn it, I want to skin it alive! That wretched creature!!!"
August: "Eileen, you're still not angry at all, haha."
Imber: "Actually, from a rational perspective, I think this is indeed a better choice."
