Instead of standing in front of the door, I sat on the bed attempting to figure out why I was feeling the way I was. Minutes had passed and I was still unsure of what I should do. I didn’t know how I should react to Viktor and Jake being together without me. On top of that, there was a countdown in my head to when they would come out of the shower and I had no clue what to say to them when they did.

There was a part of me that wanted to talk about what happened today and insisted I stay up and wait for them. The insecure part of me wanted to hop into bed, jump under the covers, and pray to the Goddess that I fell asleep before they came out.

Paranoia had officially set in. My gaze drifted back and forth between the door and the bed. All the while, I’m contemplating my next course of action. Before I could make up my mind, the shower turned off and muffled voices could be heard on the other side of the door.

For a good minute, I moved forward, jerked back, and froze as I tried to figure out how to look normal. What was I doing? I couldn’t help but laugh at my silliness.

I was acting like a teenager or worse, a criminal about to be caught after robbing a bank. I haven’t done anything wrong but my conscience was guilty. When have I ever felt awkward around them? My eyes jumped to the door as laughter rang out on the other side.

The door swung open and my guys walked out with towels wrapped low on their waist, their upper bodies glistening with water and bright smiles pulled at the corners of their lips.

Viktor saw me first and I was blessed with a toothy grin as his smile grew wider. My gaze slid behind him and landed on Jake. Warmth filled his tired eyes when he saw me. Returning his smile, I banished the misplaced anger. The fears and worries that plagued me slowly began to seep away. Why had I been insecure when I found them together?

The bed dipped as Viktor put his knee on the bed and leaned forward. I lifted my face and gave him a kiss. Jake made his way to the other side of the bed and he peppered a trail of kisses along my shoulder.

“Hey, my love,” Viktor whispered when we separated.

“Hey yourself,” I answered.

“How long have you been out here?” Viktor asked.

“A while, I wasn’t counting.”

“Why didn’t you join us?” Jake asked. “Three are better than two,” he said as he wriggled his eyebrows suggestively.

“Ew,” I laughed, “Don’t do that again.”

Viktor leaned back and shook his head left and right, droplets of water flew everywhere as he shook out his hair. Squealing, I leaned back until my back was pressed against Jake’s front.

“Viktor!” I laughed. “What are you doing?! You’re getting me all wet. Go and dry off!”

“There she is,” Viktor smiled.

“Is it me or am I sensing something’s wrong with our Luna?” Jake asked as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

“Nothing is wrong,” I started. Viktor’s fingers lifted the bottom of my chin, closing my mouth, and forcing me to look him in the eye. He searched my face for answers while Jake’s hand rubbed circles near my belly button.

“No lies,” Viktor said. When I didn’t say anything he prodded me for questions. “What’s going on? Does this have anything to do with your session with Clara today?”

“Come on, tell us about your day, Kacie,” Jake murmured. He kissed my neck before leaning back. When I didn’t respond, his arms and hands disappeared from around me. His hands slid up my arms to my shoulders where he started to massage me. “You’re so tense,” Jake whispered.

“What did we miss?” Viktor asked.

“It’s hard to answer when Jake’s giving me an orgasm via massage,” I whispered through gritted teeth. I fought the urge to moan as he attacked the knots in my shoulders and the tension in my neck. Viktor chuckled.

“As much as I want to give you an orgasm, I don’t think that’s what you need tonight,” Viktor said as he sat in front of me. His muscles strained against his towel. I was surprised the cloth was securely in place. “And… my eyes are up here,” Viktor teased. Blushing, I lifted my eyes.

“I know where they are,” I laughed.

“Tell us what’s going on,” Jake said soothingly from behind me. His fingers were hitting just the right spot. I couldn’t help a moan from escaping.

“I’ve just got a lot on my mind,” I said as Jake’s magical spell started to take effect. Viktor and Jake didn’t say a word as they waited for me to speak. When the silence was too loud, I knew I couldn’t hold it back any longer. They wouldn’t let it go and I wasn’t sure why I was trying to keep quiet about it.

“My first session with Clara was… successful. I was able to let go of my restraint and was able to test the limits of what I could do. It was different not having to worry about hurting her and it was great… until it wasn’t.”

“Explain,” Jake murmured from behind me.

“At some point during the lesson, my mind switched on me. I went from having fun to needing to hurt her,” I said.

“Well, that’s the point of training love and it’s not like we were expecting you to hit her. on the first day,” Jake said. Viktor remained impassive as he watched me. “You need to be trying to hurt her. How else will you know if you’ve made progress? Wasn’t training with her an opportunity for you to get control over your gifts and be able to use them?”
