CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

"I'll just serve lunch then, Ace you are welcome to join us"

"Seven I want you to leave"

"That is not going to happen"

"You heard the Lady!"

"She doesn't mean it" He says as he walks over the cooker and starts dishing out the food in a bowl.

"I'm calling the cops" Ace threatens and I turn to face him as Seven exits the kitchen, clearly unbothered by the threat.

"Please don't" I plead.

"Do you want him here?" He asks quietly.

"I swear I don't but I know he means we'll, Seven will never hurt me"

"So you are going to let him stay the night?"

"No, no, I will go over to Asher's place"

"Seriously? You think he will let you leave? Besides, I don't want you spending the night at that guy's place either. He is love with you, he..."

"Asher will never try to have sex with me. Trust me" I say in a hushed voice.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. Besides, who do you prefer? Seven or Asher?"

"Me!, I prefer me. Come over to my place" He says anxiously.

"That's never going to happen." I say as o take out my phone and send a text to Asher, begging him to come and pick me at six pm and almost instantly, he replies. It's a positive reply.

"See, that's settled. Asher's place it is"

"What about Kyle?"

"He's out of the country for a business trip, Ace, I promise I will be fine"

"I really did want to make you lunch"

"I know, I know" I say as gently place my palm on his chest and look at him with searching eyes. "There will be other times"

"Of course there will, hopefully at my place"

"Ace..."

"Make sure to drink you medicine"

"You don't have to worry, I will make sure she takes them" Seven says as he walks into the kitchen. He takes another bowl of food and exists the kitchen.

"I will call you every hour" He says seriously and I chuckle.

"I know you will"

"Take good care of yourself and if anything comes up, I'm just a phone call away"

"And I know that too"

"Oh my God, I don't want to leave you here with Seven" He says in frustration and I place my hand on his cheek and urge him to look at me.

"I will be fine"

"I am going to take your word for it"

"Let me see you to that door" I lead the way out of the house.

I honestly don't want him to go.

"Drive safely"

"I will and you take care of yourself" He says as he stoops down and kisses my tummy.

"You have been doing this a lot lately"

"Trying to connect with my child" He rises and plants a wet kiss on my forehead. " You asked me a question earlier"

"Yeah, and you brushed it off"

"I did not" He holds both my hands and kisses them and I can feel my heart swell up with emotions. Why is acting so sweet? "You asked if I was getting attached and the answer is...Yes, I am getting attached Luna, not only to the child but to you too. I think about you all the time and for some odd reasons that night we spent together keeps replaying on my mind. I don't usually let people in but you Luna, you are irresistible. You haven't only gotten into me but you have captured me. Luna..." He calls as he takes a step closer. Now we are just a few inches apart. "I love you" He confesses staring deep into my eyes and the moment his words hit my eardrums, blood pauses in my veins. It's like everything in the world stopped in time and right now it's just the two of us.

Ace just confessed his feelings. I am supposed to smile and tell him that I love him too but I can't. I want to be happy but the fear that keeps taking over me can't let me be happy. He is engaged to someone else. This is pretty messed up.

"Ace you..."

"I know things are very complicated, but I promise you that I will fix this."

"I don't want you to do anything that you'll regret"

"Just let me fix this" He says as he gently places his forehead on mine. We remain silent in that position for quite some time and my heart starts pacing abnormally when he brings his lips closer to mind. I close my eyes and exhale heavily. I badly want to stop him from kissing me, I so badly want to stop him, but I can't. The moment his lips make contact with mine, I feel sparks spread all over my body like a thunder bolt. My sense of judgement flies out of brain and the only thing on my mind right now is the fact that Ace is kissing me passionately right now. Without warning, I kiss him back with all my might. Our lips move in the same rhythm as we both explore, taste and savor each other's lips.

I love this man and I wish we could be together with our baby.

By the time we break the kiss, we are both gasping for breath. He connects our for heads one more time and looks deep into my eyes. There's like fifteen thousand feelings of excitement holes punched in my heart right now. He used his index finger to raise my chin up the moment I try to look down.

"Luna" He calls my name like the word amuses him, entertains him, delights him. My heart swells up with emotions and without warning, I start sobbing gently.

This whole situation already seems awful and my hormones are not making things any better for me. "Allow me to fix this please" He pleads with a husky voice and all I can do is nod. Any attempt to talk right now will turn me into a crying disaster.

"I can stay if you want me to"

I badly want to says yes or better still follow him to his place but I can't so I shake my head.

"Alright then, I will be on my way"

"Drive safely"

"I will" He kisses me one more time and majestically walks to his car with one hand shoved in his trouser pocket. The moment he drives it of the premises, I thoroughly clean my tears. The last thing I want is for Seven to know that I have been crying .

So... I just had a heated make out session with someone's fiancé. I am officially a home wrecker and a bitch.

When I'm calm again, I walk into the house and over to the diner. My mouth waters at the sight of the variety of dishes that have been served by Seven. Just then, he comes into the diner with some apple juice.

"You are back" He says as he places the container of juice on the table and walks towards me . "I didn't get a hug, can I get it now?" He asks stretching out his arms as an invitation and without hesitation, I walk into them and he engulfs me in a gentle hug. "I have missed you dearly" He whispers in my ear and I immediately disengage myself from the hug.

"Too bad I can't say the same for you"

"Babe I'm trying..."

"Seven please..." I cut him off. "I am not in the mood to have this conversation with you. Allow me to eat in peace, I'm starving"

"I'm sorry" He says as he takes the head seat. I don't want him sitting there but right now I don't the strength to start arguing with him so I just ignore him. "Should I serve you?"

"No!" I say with a frown. I start serving myself some spinach and the door bell rings.

Asher is not going to be her until another two hours so I wonder who it is. Could it be Ace again?

"I will get the door" Seven says as he gets up from his seat and exists the diner. I continue to serve myself and as I am about to put the first scoop of spinach in my mouth, I hear someone scream my name.

"Luna!" The person calls yet again and when I turn around to look, I almost faint when I see Asher.

It's not even six pm yet.

"Bloody hell!"

"Come on, let's get you out of here"
