Chapter 93: What Do You Plan To Do To Andrea?
When Tony realized that Lucas Anderson had deceived him, it was already too late. Consumed by rage, he tightly clenched his fist, determined to land another punch on Lucas's smug face.
"Stop, Tony!" Andrea's anxious voice pierced through the tension as she hurried towards them, breathless.
She managed to pull Tony away from Lucas, whose smile persisted despite the blood trickling down his broken nose.
Witnessing the bloodshed, Andrea felt a pang of heartbreak. She turned to Tony and uttered firmly, "Please leave."
Tony stood there, his mouth opening and closing as he absorbed Andrea's lack of emotion, a sign of her deep disappointment in him.
After taking a deep breath, Tony made a decision. Without a backward glance, he turned around and walked away.
"I am sorry," Andrea said, turning to Lucas with an apologetic gaze.
Lucas Anderson simply bowed his head, observing her concerned expression with a gentle smile. "I'm not angry," he assured her.
Noticing the blood still seeping from his wound, Andrea's worry deepened. "Let's get you treated," she insisted.
Without waiting for Lucas's consent, she took his arm and guided him to the bedroom. Sitting on the bed, she retrieved the first aid kit.
Lucas seemed captivated by Andrea's caring demeanor, watching her intently as she cleaned the wound and applied a dressing. Despite the sting of the antiseptic, he maintained his smile.
"Why are you smiling?" Andrea inquired, puzzled by his lack of reaction to the pain.
Lucas chuckled, his voice warm and soothing. "I feel good," he said.
Andrea gave him a questioning look, unsure of his meaning. "Do you enjoy getting hurt?" she joked, trying to ease the tension between them.
He nodded, then replied with a playful tone, "As long as you're the one treating me, it's all worthwhile."
Realizing that Lucas was flirting even in such circumstances, Andrea rolled her eyes, feigning annoyance, yet she couldn't help but feel a sweet warmth inside.
After she had put everything back into the first aid kit, Andrea stood up, looking anxious. She was troubled by guilt, believing that the harm that had come to Valentine's sister and mother was her fault.
"I'll speak to Tony about this. He won't come after you again," she promised Lucas.
Lucas only smiled in response, which made Andrea even more nervous. "I'll scold him," she added hastily.
Lucas's laughter filled the room, dispelling Andrea's anxiety and relaxing the tension she felt.
"It's okay, Andrea. You don't need to do that. I understand Tony, and I hold no grudge against him," Lucas said with a shrug, displaying a magnanimity that surprised her.
Andrea looked at him, perplexed by his calmness. It contradicted the Valentine Anderson she thought she knew.
By then, Lucas had risen and moved toward his wardrobe to change out of his blood-stained white shirt.
"Lucas, your sister is also in the hospital. I've just come from there, and she's not doing any better than your mother. I'm so sorry," Andrea said, her voice heavy with regret.
Selecting a fresh shirt, Lucas faced Andrea. "You're not to blame for this," he told her.
After changing into the clean shirt, he added, "I'm going to the hospital to see them."
"Do you want me to drive you?" Andrea offered.
"No need. You have work, and you're already late," Lucas replied before heading out the door.
Andrea stood still for a moment before taking out her phone and dialing Tony's number. "We need to talk tonight, Tony," she said, her voice stern and her expression serious.
After ending the call, she left the room. Shortly thereafter, they both departed from the Singers' mansion in separate cars.
As Andrea made her way to the office, Lucas Anderson was en route to the hospital.
Upon his arrival, he headed straight to Mrs. Anderson's ward, finding her lying motionless on the hospital bed.
Standing by her side, he spoke softly, "Mom, when you wake up, I hope you can forgive me."
After a moment of silence, Lucas turned and made his way to another ward, where Benita was recovering. With his hands nonchalantly tucked into his pockets, he addressed her, "You don't need to worry about your businesses. I've arranged for someone to manage them in your absence. I hope that when you come around, you'll turn over a new leaf."
Having said his piece, Lucas left the ward. As he headed for the exit, Tony confronted him in the parking lot.
"How can you be so cold as to harm your own mother and sister? What kind of monster are you?" Tony's face was etched with disgust; he couldn't stand people who showed no respect for family ties.
"They're not dead. They'll wake up sooner or later," Lucas replied with a sly smile, unfazed by the accusation of being a monster.
Tony was not convinced, seeing Lucas as nothing but a deceitful monster. "And your twin brother? You didn't just end his life; you denied his mother and sister the chance to see him one last time for a proper farewell." Tony's voice dripped with scorn.
Lucas, hands still in his pockets, answered with a forced smile, "I don't know what you're talking about. I had nothing to do with my twin's disappearance or the explosion."
With that, he walked past Tony, who was still seething with contempt.
"What Do You Plan To Do To Andrea?" Tony called out, just as Lucas was about to slip into his car.
