Lucas looked up at Dave and spoke coldly. "Only cowards waste sympathy on others. You still don’t understand, Dave."

Dave knew how his grandfather was, but hearing it from his mouth still hurt him deeply.

He couldn’t believe how little Lucas cared about human life.

"The Evans family looks powerful from the outside," Dave said, his voice low. "But deep down, it’s rotten."
