Accidentally Slept With The Ruthless Billionaire

Chapter 518: Keep Dreaming

Chapter 518: Keep Dreaming

That day, blood was spilled. He got his revenge on the ones who betrayed him.

But even after everything, his friends were still gone. Nothing could bring them back.

Still, he finally put his grudges to rest.

But when more enemies showed up and surrounded him, he knew he was in trouble.

He fought hard to get out, pushing himself to the limit.

Just when he was about to collapse and give up, someone stepped in—cutting through the enemies like they were nothing.

Wyatt froze for a moment. His heart skipped a beat.

It was Dave. He had come to save him.

“What are you doing here? Are you crazy?” Wyatt shouted, shocked and worried.

He looked into Dave’s sharp eyes and saw blood on his face. He couldn’t believe how skilled and fast the boy was—only sixteen, yet already that strong.

“You’re not dying today. Not before I keep my promise,” Dave said calmly.

Wyatt blinked, feeling blood run down his forehead and blur his sight. He wiped it away, then suddenly burst out laughing.

For the first time, he realized someone still cared. Someone who would risk it all just to help him.

Thanks to Dave, Wyatt made it out alive.

Once they got away and the danger passed, both of them dropped to the ground—tired but alive.

Wyatt looked over at Dave, who stayed calm and even gave a small smile.

“I owe you my life,” Wyatt said. “So I’ll do one thing for you. Just say it.”

Dave looked at him without much emotion. “Promise me you won’t kill anyone from now on. If you do that, I’ll help you start over with a new identity.”

Wyatt was caught off guard. He didn’t expect Dave to offer him a second chance. He thought he’d be used, not saved.

“Are you sure?” Wyatt asked in a quiet voice. “This is your one chance to ask for anything. Think it through.”

“I’m sure,” Dave said without hesitation.

Wyatt felt a wave of emotion. His eyes filled with tears.

He gave a small laugh and reached out his hand. “Okay. It’s a deal. I’ll keep my word.”

As they shook hands, memories rushed through Wyatt’s mind. He had always wondered how Dave stayed kind and strong, even after everything he’d been through.

People like him were rare.

That’s when Wyatt became sure—Dave was meant for something greater.

After Dave gave him a new name and a second chance, Wyatt made a silent vow. He would help Dave reach his goals, no matter what.

But then Skylar got in the way.

When the freezer door creaked shut, Wyatt let out a long, tired sigh.

Just as the freezer was about to close, Wyatt quickly hit the stop button.

Skylar struggled against the chair, trying hard to break free.

“Do you regret it?” Wyatt asked, his voice cold and sharp. “I’ll give you one last chance. Hand over the agreement, and I’ll let you go. If not, you know what’s coming.”

Skylar burst into wild laughter. “Keep dreaming!”

The door slammed shut, and the freezing air inside grew even colder.

After what felt like forever, Skylar started to feel a strange warmth in her body. Deep down, she knew it was just her mind playing tricks to help her survive.

People who froze to death often felt this fake warmth before the end. Some even tore off their clothes, thinking they were hot.

Fueled by pure survival instinct, Skylar somehow broke free from the ropes.

She beat on the door, but her voice was too weak to carry. Her body gave out, and she fell to the floor. Frost clung to her lashes. One hand lay still and cold.

Outside, Wyatt stood in silence. He heard nothing.

Then Wyatt remembered what Dave had said—and the promise he had made.

His mind battled with itself. After a moment, he muttered, “Damn it!”

He hadn’t thought Skylar would fight back this hard. Just as he reached for the door, a sharp voice cut through the air.

“Wyatt!”

Startled, he whipped around and saw Dave and Bianca rushing straight at him.

“How… how could you…” Dave said, his voice shaking with anger.

Wyatt tried to speak, but Dave cut him off. “Open the door. Now!”

Wyatt hit the button, and the door started to move. He grabbed the handle to pull it open faster.

A rush of icy air hit them, and Bianca’s eyes went wide with shock.

Skylar looked like a frozen statue—pale and still, as if she were trapped in a block of ice.

Wyatt stammered, “Let me explain!” Panic filled his voice as he looked at Dave’s cold, unreadable face. He wasn’t even sure if Skylar was still alive.

Dave didn’t let him finish. His voice was firm. “Save her first. Talk later.”

Two days later, Skylar’s eyes slowly opened.

Wires and tubes were attached to her, and the monitor beside her showed a faint heartbeat.

“I’m… alive…” she whispered.

Skylar looked around and saw she was in a hospital.

The door opened.

Dave walked in and came straight to her bed.

He looked just the same—tall, calm, and serious, like always.

But for the first time in a long while, Skylar saw real concern in his eyes.

Skylar felt lost for a moment.

She couldn’t tell if what happened was real or just a dream.

Maybe she had died. Maybe all of this was just her mind playing tricks.

“Am I dead? Is this heaven?” she asked softly.

Dave’s brows pulled together. “You’re alive,” he said. “You’re in the hospital. Focus on getting better.”

Skylar’s mind slowly cleared. Then panic hit her. The memories came rushing back.

Didn’t Dave send Wyatt to kill her? Why was she still alive? And why was Dave here?

“What are you saying? You sent Wyatt to make me cancel our agreement… didn’t you?” she asked, her voice rough.

She started coughing. Her chest burned from all the cold she had taken in. But she kept her eyes on him.

She had to see his face. She needed to know the truth.

“I don’t know what happened with Wyatt. When I got there, you were barely holding on,” Dave said quietly.

Skylar felt a small spark of hope light up inside her.

She had thought he stopped caring after falling for Bianca. But maybe… he still cared, even just a little.

Her hands trembled. “You saved me… That means you still care, right?”

Dave looked at her and said plainly, “I saved you because you once saved me. We’re even now.”
