His Mate, His Girlfriend

Bonus Chapter 8

Bonus Chapter 8

" I'm smart," I shrugged. I couldn't risk telling him the truth and having him leave me, so I lied. I was a liar.

" You must be. And you're in school again?" he mused.

" Yeah. International relations are important for my company," I added, and he nodded.

" So, what's your favorite color," he asked, I thought. I only ever liked black, but now, I like dark gray, just like his eyes. He looked away with a slight smile. I was sure he was smiling.

" Black and dark gray like your eyes," I said, and he smiled at me.

" And you?"

" I don't have a favorite color. However, I love the amber color of your eyes," he said. I blushed, my heart thumping when he squeezed my hand.

" Hobbies?" he asked.

" I race motorcycles. I have several collections of bikes." I told him. His jaw dropped. I'd always loved to race cars because it was freeing. I have raced professionally for several companies. I even participated in last year's Dakar rally, but I didn't tell him as it may raise questions.

" And you?"

" I race cars. However, I don't do it as much as I used to with the growing responsibilities of the pack," he said.

We soon arrived at the French breakfast I recommended. However, he was hesitant to leave the car.

" Are you going to come out?" I asked.

" Can we go somewhere else?" I narrowed my gaze at him, and my eyes went to the restaurant. I shook my head. I was in the mood to eat croissants, and this was the perfect restaurant in town.

" Let's go," I insisted, opening the door. He did, too, and silently followed me. We took a seat in the corner.

" What's with you and corners?" he chuckled as he pulled a chair for me. I smiled and thanked him.

" I just like corners," I said.

" I noticed,"

A waiter came to us, taking our order. He bowed and left. The conversation I had with Aerys flowed nicely. He was charming and funny. It took a little while for our food to arrive. The food was so delicious, so Aerys ate everything. Aerys even ordered seconds. I wasn't surprised he ate so much because the werewolf's metabolism was fast.

After we were done, Aerys paid the bill, and I excused myself to the loo. I patted my face with water. Aerys Chasia's name resounded in my head. What was he doing to me? He made my heart race, and I blushed all the damn time. I was smiling like an idiot. I washed my hands to leave when I heard a screech.

" Can you believe he brought another woman here, to my place of work!" a woman's voice said. I put two and two together. I now understood why Aerys was hesitant to come here. One of his former lovers worked here. I sighed, listening to the conversation.

" You should have approached them," a voice from the other side of the phone said.

" Of course, I approached him after his date left the table. He told me to stay away from him. And that he has a girlfriend whom he loves,"

The girl continued to complain, talking about how much she loved Aerys. I was pleased he told her off even when I was not there. I opened the door and walked out with a smug smile. The woman gasped and glared at me. I went past her, brushing her shoulders. When I went back to the table, Aerys put his phone away and smiled at me. He held my hand as we left the restaurant.

We spent the day together, taking a long walk to the beach. Aerys told me what it was like running such a huge pack at a young age. It was a good thing that his father was there to guide him. He spoke highly of his parents. We found a spot to sit when he asked.

" Do you have a family, Elizabeth?"

I stared at him for a moment. I didn't know whether to tell him the truth or not, but he was looking at me with so many emotions. Like a man who truly wanted to know more about his mate.

" Yes," I answered with a small smile. " My parents and I have two brothers. They are twins," Images of Egon and Zephir flashed in my head. I couldn't help that smile that curled on my lips.

" Do you not see them often?" he sensed my sadness.

" It's been ... a while since I saw them. I miss them," I admitted, looking away from his eyes. I never admitted to missing my brothers. We were close when I was in the clan. The last time I saw them was 20 years ago. They were fighting over a woman, which was heartbreaking as she played them.

" Where are they?"

" Far, but we talk," I lied, not wanting to talk about my family anymore. My heart was aching in my chest.

The sun was setting now. Aerys pulled me in his arms, and I rested my back against his front. His arms wrapped around me. He kissed my shoulder, making a shiver go down my bones.

" Watching the sunset has never been this beautiful," he whispered. I turned my head to him, locked our eyes, and smiled at him.

" It has never."

My breath hitched, and my heart pounded in my chest as he neared my lips slowly. My stomach was bouncing with butterflies as soon as our lips touched. Our kiss was electric and tantalization. I turned my body to him, ready to fully enjoy the gentle yet passionate kiss. My fingers curl in his hair. Aerys bit my lower lips, asking for entrance, and I opened. His tongue explored my mouth. The kiss made me moan. The kiss made me burn with desire, and my pussy clenched. I was selfish, wanting more of it. So was he. He pulled me closer to me by my waist.

We pulled away when we were out of breath, and we smiled. He rested his forehead against mine. He kissed me again, and I answered. His warm hand was on my cold neck. He pulled away with a frown.

" Are you feeling cold?" he asked. I shook my head. We naturally had cool temperatures, unlike shifters, whose bodies were warm.

" No, I just have a cool body temperature," I said.

Aerys insisted we go out for dinner. This time, we went to a pizza place. He leads me to a corner booth, smiling back at me.

We ordered a pepperoni pizza, the extra large. I only managed to eat a slice as I was craving blood now. He frowned,

" Eat one more, please," he said, his eyes begging. I forced myself to have another for his sake. However, I couldn't finish it. Aerys enjoyed the rest.

He took me home and kissed me good night before he left. As soon as he left, a happy scream left my lips. His kiss still lingered on my lips. His intoxicating smell was still on me, in my nostrils. I needed to go to him, or I'd explode with these feelings. Yes, I'll go to him tonight. I want to live with him...

Aerys

I was taken aback by how much I felt for her. I didn't expect I would be this really into her so soon. Her pale skin, thin body, and her lips, damn, she was beautiful. My lycan, Aire, was howling in my head. It was the happiest he'd been in a long time.

The kiss we shared at the beach was the most endearing I'd ever had. Her lips were soft and gentle against mine. Her heart rate picked up as mine did when our lips connected. My blood rushed south. I wanted her pressed against me. I wanted to take her right there. I used all my self-restraint not to do it. My mind was fucked. Everything was so surreal. I felt like I was in heaven. Elizabeth Valord was my haven.

Elizabeth, Elizabeth. I chanted her name as I drove home, smiling to myself. What was she doing to me?

' I wish we didn't have to part,' Aire said. Me, too. However, I wasn't going to pressure her. I will wait until she is ready to come to me.

When I reached my driveway, I exited the car and entered the house. Everyone was in the kitchen eating.

" Good evening," I said, a smile spreading across my face. I went to the refrigerator to get water.

" You seem to be in a pleasant mood," Tonga noted, smiling from ear to ear.

" I am,"

" And what kind of breakfast takes the whole day?" Coswell frowned.

" Oh, Coswell, she's exquisite. My mate is perfect!" I screamed.

" I'm glad you feel that way," I heard her sweet voice across the room.
