Revenge with My Quadruplets

Chapter 73

Chapter 73

Derek looked at the materials in his hand and remembered Emily, whom he loved and hated at the same time. He couldn't sleep.

Women would fight to get into his bed for a guy like him.

However, Emily ignored his invitation card. No one had ever hurt his dignity like this before.

Derek turned over as he thought of himself waiting anxiously like a fool that night.

However, he felt happy that Emily fought back when Rose and Laura intended to mess with her.

At this moment, he was without his sophisticated disguise. When it came to love, he was still a newbie.

He sat up from the bed and walked up to the mirror, carefully examining himself.

"Very good. Tall. Long legs. Muscles that were built from working out. Handsome facial features. I should be attractive to Emily, right?"

Derek was not quite sure. He was so frustrated that he smashed his head into the pillow.

Meanwhile, Emily slept soundly, but she never knew that Derek had been thinking about her throughout the night.

The next day, she arrived at the branch office, feeling refreshed.

As soon as she entered, she felt a positive vibe from the employees. Everyone stood up and greeted her. After she responded, they all looked delighted.

It seemed that all the employees in the branch office were aware of the project collaboration that took place last night.

Emily returned to the office and immediately called Andrew over.

"The project of Silver Waterfall is very important. Now is the critical moment and we must be extra careful with it."

"Are you worried that Laura and her people might do something?" Andrew knew what she meant. "I will go check on the orders and material preparation within this month."

"We need to check both the quantity and the quality. Take extra precautions on security to prevent arson," Emily reminded him.

When she was investigating Laura and her people, many things got her suspicious. Although she had no evidence, she didn't want to take any risks at this vital moment.

This involved the ownership of the Hopkinson Group.

"What's wrong?" Emily looked at Andrew, who looked hesitant.

"Rose's assistant just reminded me that today is the day to attend the monthly meeting at the Hopkinson Group. She asked you to be there." Andrew frowned when he thought of Rose's rude attitude.

"Stupid woman. Very well then, right timing." Emily glanced at her watch and stood up. "I also want to remind her about the agreement. Let's go."

When Emily arrived at the conference room of the Hopkinson Group, Rose was already waiting there.

"Well, well, good for you. You tried to steal Derek from me. Now, you're flirting with Carlos. Is that all you can pull? To get what you want at the cost of yourself?" Rose cursed when she saw Emily.

Emily took a few steps back.

Rose knew that once the new contract was completed, Emily would win. Although she didn't care about the tiny profit of the branch office, she didn't want Emily to have an easy time.

Rose had just gotten rid of the shade on her brought by Emily. There was no way that she would let Emily be back on her foot again.

Moreover, she felt that Emily was planning on something else. She wouldn't allow Emily to show what she got in front of the shareholders and win their favor.

"I'm here for the briefing, and my personal issues have nothing to do with you." Emily remained calm.

Rose was about to speak when her assistant reminded her of the arrival of others.

Everyone who participated in the meeting felt the awkward atmosphere between Emily and Rose. After the meeting, they all left quickly.

Rose didn't catch a word of the meeting and her eyes were burning as she stared at Emily.

But Emily wasn't affected by Rose's intense gaze.

She was about to leave when Rose closed the door. Andrew opened the door. Then, Rose closed it again.

Emily turned to Rose with an expressionless face and said, "What do you want?"

"Stay away from Derek! Don't try to steal him from me." Rose grabbed Emily's hand tightly.

"Is that what you think all day? Poor Laura. If she hadn't done those bad things, I would really feel sorry for her."

  Emily shook off Rose's hand.

"What the hell did you say? Did you know something?"

"You have done so many bad things. Make a guess. Maybe I knew them all."

  Rose stood still in fright.

It was so easy to scare Rose. Emily shook her head and left.

When Emily opened the door, she accidentally pulled Rose's hair.

After walking out of the room, Emily handed a few strands of hair to Andrew.

"Send these for testing. Find someone trustworthy to do it."

Andrew put the strands of hair into a bag and sealed the bag.

"We'll start our plan now." Emily looked up at the clear sky.

Emily had been in a good mood all day.

Although she hadn't received the test report yet, she almost knew of the result. The report would only provide more detailed evidence for her future actions.

When Emily returned home, Chris raised his head from the computer.

"Mommy, all the information you wanted is ready."

When Chris checked Hans' account, he also checked Hans' background, so he knew that Hans was a senior executive of the branch office.

Thinking of the information he had found, Chris narrowed his eyes and thought, 'How dare Hans bully Mommy? I won't let Hans get away with it.'

So, in addition to what Emily asked Chris to investigate, he also uncovered some bad deeds Hans had done before.

Since Hans dared to do so, he should be prepared for being caught one day.

Chris would make sure he enjoyed his prison life.

Emily looked at Chris' smiling face and felt him laughing like a villain.

Emily pecked on Chris' cheek. He smiled and knew he was Emily's favorite.

Rose also relied on her mom a lot.

After Emily left, Rose went to Laura while she was still in shock.

"Rose, Laura is in a meeting with Ash. You cannot go in now." Laura's assistant, Reed, blocked Rose with concern.

If Rose rushed in and interrupted Laura, he would be the one to take the blame, not Rose.

Every time Rose acted impulsively and made a mistake, Laura would do so. Laura never had the heart to punish Rose but was tough on all other employees.

Reed remembered that the person who was in this position left the job for similar reasons. She suddenly felt that she might also lose her job.

Unfortunately, Rose was always willful. To her, an assistant was worthless. If this one didn't work well, she would just get another one. She would never consider the needs of an assistant.

"Laura, I'm sorry, I couldn't stop Rose." Reed didn't dare to go tough on her, so she couldn't stop Rose, who rushed in like crazy.

After Rose rushed in, Reed was so scared that she lowered her head and apologized.

Only Laura and Ash were in the office. Even though they quickly separated, when Reed entered the room, she still caught a glimpse of them holding each other.

Interrupting her meeting was not the worst thing now. What she just saw was the worst!

Reed kept her head down, feeling the gaze of Laura. Reed looked at the ground, pretending not to see anything, but her palms were sweating.

Laura kept silent for a while and then said, "Get out of here."

Rose, on the other hand, was too absorbed in her own grievances to even notice the oppressive atmosphere in the office.
