Revenge with My Quadruplets

Chapter 35

Chapter 35

Derek gave Rose a warning look. Rose didn't dare to curse more and could only sit down.

  The dishes were served.

"Mommy, are you unhappy?" Chris sensed the change in Emily's emotions.

Although Rose had affected Emily's mood, she didn't want Chris to worry.

"I won't be unhappy when you and Diane are with me," Emily said with a smile.

"Chris, you can't add more sugar. You've already eaten a lot of sugar today," Emily said as she stopped Chris.

Chris revealed a disappointed expression. Diane couldn't help but laugh, and her eyes narrowed.

Emily felt someone holding her hand. She looked down and saw that it was Aaron.

Although Rose kept reminding Emily that Aaron and Ian were her children, Emily still adored the boys.

"Aaron, can I help you wipe your hands?" Emily asked.

  Aaron nodded lightly.

When Emily cleaned his hands and helped him prepare the napkin, Aaron's eyes lit up with joy.

"Mommy, I want it too!" Diane stretched out her small hands.

Chris didn't say anything, but he also extended his hands.

Emily smiled and helped them wipe their hands. Diane said happily, "My hand smells so good."

Aaron sniffed at his hand as well, and he liked the fragrance too.

Aaron and Chris had similar tastes, so they ordered the same food. They looked similar when they lowered their heads to eat. People would think that they were twins.

Ian, who wanted to eat a big meal, had lost his appetite. He kept looking at Aaron.

He thought, 'Aaron is so hateful. He is eating so happily and does not even look at me!'

Ian felt aggrieved, and he wasn't interested in the nice food in front of him anymore.

He lowered his head and kept sighing. Derek finally looked at him.

"Do you want to go there so much?" Derek asked helplessly.

"Daddy, Aaron seemed so happy! Did he forget about me?" Ian was upset.

Derek looked over. Aaron was indeed eating happily. There was always a smile on his face.

He looked at Ian and both of them saw envy in each other's eyes.

"Go to Aaron." Derek finally agreed.

Ian cheered and picked up the plate. However, he was too short to jump off the chair after holding the plate. And if he jumped off the chair first, he could not reach the plate.

"Daddy, help me." Ian was so anxious that he was about to cry.

Derek called the waiter to help Ian bring the food over.

  Ian ran over first.

Looking at the energetic Ian, Derek couldn't help smiling.

Rose clutched the fork in her hand. She took several deep breaths to calm herself down.

"Derek, why did you let Ian go there without my permission?" Rose tried to remain calm.

Derek glanced at her and continued eating.

Rose was enraged. From the moment she got into the car, everything hadn't been smooth. She had forced herself to endure it, yet she couldn't stand the boys' affection for Emily and Derek's indulgence of them.

"Derek, I am their mother, but you allow them to eat with another woman in front of me!" Rose's voice trembled with anger and grievance.

Derek had lost his appetite to finish the meal today.

He put down his fork and knife and then wiped his mouth with a napkin.

"So what?" He stared at Rose indifferently. "Can't they have some social contacts? Moreover, Emily is helpful to Aaron's condition."

"But she is Emily. She ruined our engagement ceremony!" Rose was trembling with anger. She tried to lower her voice.

"So do you think it is more important than helping Aaron get better?" Derek's eyes were sharp. "Rose, please mind your words. You are not qualified to question me."

  Rose's expression froze.

"Don't you want to marry me? Don't you want to give Aaron and Ian a complete family? It's all because of Emily, isn't it?" She clutched her hair and found it hard to accept Derek's words.

"Rose, I don't want to quarrel with you. Maybe you should calm down first." Rose's stubbornness annoyed Derek.

Calling her out for dinner tonight was a mistake, and she hadn't changed much.

Derek stood up and walked to Emily and the four children.

They had finished their meal, and Diane and Ian were telling jokes.

"Aaron, Ian, it's time to go home," Derek said.

"Daddy." Ian hugged Derek's leg happily.

Aaron did not respond to Derek's words and still grabbed the corner of Emily's clothes.

Derek felt helpless. Aaron liked Emily so much.

"I agreed with you to come here for dinner. It's time to go home," Derek said to Aaron.

Aaron still had no intention of going home.

The atmosphere got tense at once.

"Aaron wants to stay at our house," Chris said.

Diane looked at Chris in surprise. She knew that Chris did not like Aaron, who always pestered Emily.

  Chris blushed at Diane's gaze.

"I'm just doing him a favor," Chris whispered.

Aaron looked at Derek and then at Diane. He nodded seriously and agreed with Chris.

Derek looked at Aaron and ordered, "Aaron, come here."

Aaron let go of Emily's clothes reluctantly and walked slowly to Derek.

"Do you want to go to Emily's place?" Derek asked seriously.

  Aaron nodded.

Ian was anxious. He held Derek's legs tightly with both hands and feet. "Daddy, I want to be with Aaron."

Derek did not answer the noisy Ian. He said to Aaron, "Look, Ian can't leave you. He has just been sick and is still weak."

Aaron looked at Ian and then turned to Emily. He bit his lips in embarrassment.

"I promise you that if there is a chance, you can stay at Emily's house. But now, Ian needs you more. Shall we go home together?" Derek stretched out his hand.

Aaron hesitated for a moment and held Derek's hand.

Chris should have been happy that Aaron would not snatch Emily away from him, but seeing how depressed Aaron was, he comforted, "Derek has promised you. I will help you bathe if you come."

Aaron felt Chris' concern and smiled at him.

Ian was happy that Aaron chose to stay with him. He knew that Aaron cared a lot about him and shook Aaron's hand happily.

"Aaron, you are so good to me." Ian grinned.

Rose heard the conversation. She eased her mood and walked over. She had disappointed Derek, and she had to make up for it.

"Aaron, Ian, don't go to a stranger's house casually. Do you want me to stay with you tonight?" Rose said with a smile.

Ian said, "I don't want you."

Aaron nodded in agreement with Ian.

Seeing that they did not agree, Rose turned to Derek and said, "Derek, you know what kind of person she is. It's better to let Aaron and Ian interact less with her."

Derek was just about to speak when he heard a man's voice.

"You old woman, your words are really unpleasant to hear."
