Chapter 30

　　The Scott's.

　　Because of the fright at night, Ian had nightmares and sweated in the middle of the night. Derek took care of him for the whole night. Ian was fine in the morning but had a fever in the evening.

　　"Mommy, I want Mommy," Ian muttered in a low voice.

　　"What did you say?" Ian's voice was too weak for Derek to hear, so he had to put his ear close to Ian's mouth.

　　This time, Derek heard it, and his expression froze.

　　He did not expect that although Ian said that he hated Rose, deep down, he wanted Rose's love.

　　Derek did not hesitate for too long. He immediately called Charlie over.

　　Charlie soon arrived. He lowered his head and gestured to Derek.

　　"Charlie, call that woman and ask her to come here now." Derek took a deep breath. He was not even willing to call Rose by her name.

　　Charlie knew Derek well. He knew who Derek was talking about.

　　Charlie called Rose at the villa, but no one answered until the call automatically hung up.

　　Charlie called again and someone picked the call up on his third attempt.

　　"Who is this? Why are you calling late at night? Are you crazy? You'd better have something important to tell me, otherwise, I..." A woman's irritable voice came from the phone.

　　Charlie listened to Rose's voice. At this moment, she didn't act like when she was in front of Derek. Her voice was gentle, but now, she revealed her true nature. Nevertheless, Charlie's expression remained unchanged, as if he had not heard Rose's curse.

　　"I am sorry to disturb you, Miss Hopkinson. This is Charlie, Derek's butler," Charlie interrupted Rose.

　　"What? Oh my!" Rose was stunned, then she screamed. This time, she sobered up.

　　She sat up from the bed. How could she know that Derek was looking for her so late at night? Did Derek hear what she had just said?

　　Rose had no choice but to clear her throat.

　　"Hello, Charlie. Why are you looking for me so late?" Rose said softly.

　　"Miss Hopkinson, Derek is looking for you. He hopes that you can come to the villa immediately." Charlie knew that mentioning Ian was pointless at this point.

　　"Really?" Rose was surprised. Derek could not go on without her. He missed her at this late hour.

　　"Charlie, tell Derek that I will be there soon." Rose hung up the call happily.

　　She needed to take a shower and change into the sexiest clothes. She wanted Derek to be obsessed with her. It seemed that she could be the hostess of the villa tonight.

　　Rose hummed happily and walked into the bathroom.

　　Charlie called the family doctor again and then went back to report to Derek.

　　Derek was wiping Ian's sweat. He carried Aaron to the bed next to Ian's. Derek was afraid that Aaron would wake up. Recently, Aaron had been in contact with Emily a lot. He slept better, so Derek did not want him to be disturbed.

　　After Charlie came back to report to Derek, he went downstairs and brought some warm water for Derek to wet the towel.

　　Derek nodded to Charlie and thanked him for being so considerate.

　　Soon, Charlie received a call from the guard, who told him that the family doctor had arrived.

　　"Kelly is here? Let her in," Charlie said.

　　After hanging up, he told Derek about this and went out to pick up Kelly.

　　Kelly was a serious woman. She was a good doctor and she was serious about her job. She was highly respected by the Scott family.

　　After Kelly arrived, she quickly gave Ian a detailed examination.

　　"Ian's condition is not serious. He no longer has a fever, but it may come back in the middle of the night. He is too young, so it is best not to give him any medicine," Kelly told Derek.

　　Derek was relieved at Kelly's words.

　　"I'll be leaving. If anything happens, call me at any time." Kelly packed up her things and left with Charlie.

　　Derek took Ian's temperature again. When he found that the situation was not serious, he asked Charlie.

　　"Is Rose here yet?" Derek's voice was cold.

　　Although he did not love Rose, he once wanted to accept her for the sake of the two children.

　　When Rose first came to him, she was a considerate and gentle woman. Her words and actions made her look like a well-mannered woman. At that time, Derek felt that Rose was a good candidate for his wife.

　　However, the children's rejection of her made him notice some details that he had neglected. When he saw Emily take care of the children, he knew the differences between them.

　　By the time Rose arrived, it was an hour later.

　　Charlie brought Rose to Derek. Only then did Rose know the reason why she was called over. She was a little unhappy but remembering that Derek had been cold to her recently, she tried hard to maintain a smiley expression since she had not married Derek yet.

　　"Derek, how is Ian?" Rose asked with concern.

　　Derek stood up. He turned around and saw Rose wearing sexy clothes. His face sank right away.

　　Rose felt Derek's anger and could not help but take a step back.

　　"I'm here to take care of Ian." Rose was afraid of Derek.

　　Rose rarely took care of the two children. Derek couldn't leave Ian to her, but when he recalled how Ian called her mommy, his heart softened.

　　Besides, he and Charlie were both here. Even if Rose didn't take good care of Ian, they could show up in time.

　　Rose saw that Derek was silent and continued, "Ian is my son. I can take care of him. Don't worry."

　　Derek told Rose many details. He was worried that she would not be able to take good care of Ian. After he finished speaking, he thought about it and found that he had told her everything, so he left Ian to Rose.

　　After watching Rose take care of Ian for a while, Derek went back to sleep.

　　After a while, Charlie was also called away by a maid, leaving only the two children and Rose in the room.

　　As soon as Charlie left, Rose immediately stopped checking on Ian. In fact, she didn't listen to what Derek told her at all. If she had known that Charlie called her here for this, she would have found an excuse to refuse him. She hated the boys so much.

　　At this time, Ian began to sweat again. His face became red because of the fever. He kicked the quilt in pain, and he whispered Emily's name. When Rose heard this, her face turned gloomy with anger. She threw away the towel and went to sit on the sofa to play with her phone. Derek should be glad that she agreed to take care of the boys. And there was no way that she would look after them through the night.

　　Derek pushed the door angrily. He looked at the bed. Ian's face was burning red, and he was muttering. Aaron was also awake. He hid in the quilt and only revealed his eyes while looking at the door.
