Chapter 16COMMENTS ABOUT HER LOOKS
Chapter 16COMMENTS ABOUT HER LOOKS
SOPHIA CASTILLO
"Thank you," I muttered to the waiter.
"You are welcome," He said to me politely with a smile on his face.
I heard Adrian scoff.
"You seem to have charmed the Waiter with those ugly eyes of yours, haven't you?" He chided.
The skin between my brows creased as I stared at him with confusion. What have I don't again?
"Not him staring at you so lovingly as if he has got a chance with you. You must love what you do and you know just how well to do it. I guess I am the only man immune to those eyes of yours," he chided.
Alberto had just left to use the restroom and I knew Adrian would use it as an opportunity to say mean words to me but I never expected him to indirectly accuse me of seducing a man.
"What are you trying to say?" I asked although I knew what he was referring to.
"As if you do not know," he replied sourly.
"I think I understand why you decided to look this way. Wearing something this short and also something that barely covered your boobs, you must love to get attention a lot right?" His brows rose in a questioning manner.
My dress isn't as short as he is making it look. It's a jumpsuit and it stopped on my mid-thigh and my boobs aren't popping out as he is accusing me of.
I have been blessed with boobs and that is why whenever I wear off-shoulder or strapless dresses, it looks as if the dresses are unable to cover them.
And besides, wasn't he the one that accused me of not looking good? I am so confused right now. What exactly is he trying to say?
Thankfully Alberto returned.
"Excuse me," I said, getting up from where I was seated. I needed to leave this place for a while for my sanity.
"I want to use the restroom," I said to them before walking away.
I held back the tears that threatened to come out of my eyes until I was inside the restroom. I sobbed quietly in there, telling myself it would be fine.
I wonder when I would be able to endure Adrian's bully because, at this point, It is considered bullying.
I do not know what he gets from saying hurtful words to me. After crying in there for some minutes, I wiped my tears and walked back to join them.
"You took quite a long time in there Sophia," Alberto commented the moment I sat down.
I smiled weakly. "Nature happened," I replied quietly.
"So while you were gone, Adrian and I were discussing your honeymoon," Alberto informed me.
Honeymoon? I didn't even think of having one.
Going on a honeymoon with Adrian was like seeking time with hell itself. I wouldn't want to go anywhere with him knowing well all he would do is hurt me with his words and accuse me of things I wasn't doing.
"What do you think about it? I mean it's over two weeks since your marriage and you both need to go for a honeymoon. I have some places in mine for my honeymoon but I am not the one newly married so I decided to leave it in the hands of you both. Do you have anywhere you want to go for your honeymoon?" Alberto asked me.
Nothing came to my mind. I had nowhere in mine and I wished I could tell him I had no interest in going for a honeymoon with Adrian.
My eyes locked with Adrian and I could tell he doesn't entertain the idea and it was as if he was warning me with his eyes, telling me not to say anything that would make him angry.
"I see you have nowhere in mind. Same with Adrian, maybe I will just go on with my plan then. Don't worry, leave it all to this old man and I will have everything all planned in less than two days," Alberto in a proud and confident tone, and I felt my stomach churn from the idea.
All I wanted was to see my parents and the urge to ask Alberto to let me see them scared me because I knew it would be going against Adrian and that would provoke him more.
"Grandfather, why don't you leave that to me to handle. I mean we are the married ones, we will decide where it is we want to go. You do not have to decide for us or make preparations," Adriana said after a while.
"What are you trying to say? Are you trying to say that you will make preparations for it? I that is what you are not trying to say then do not try to change my mind. You must go for a honeymoon and that is final," Alberto deadpanned.
"That is not what I am saying, grandfather. What I am saying is that Sophia and I will talk between ourselves and choose where it is we want to go and when we have concluded, we will let you know to make preparations for it, what do you say?"
Alberto nodded his head, liming Adrian's idea.
Something told me that Adrian has no plan of talking to me about anything concerning the honeymoon and it was just an excuse to make his grandfather not make any preparation and I hoped that was true because I do not want to go on a honeymoon with him.
"That is very good then. I will wait for your decision but I'd advise you don't take too long or I will have no choice but to take things into my hands," Alberto warned.
"Worry not grandfather," Adrian said.
"Why haven't you touched your food, Sophia. They are getting cold," Alberto scolded once he saw that I have not touched my food.
I lost the appetite to eat the moment Adrian accused me of seducing the waiter who I was sure has no interest in me.
"I..."
"She isn't hungry. She ate already. She has her way of eating. I mean she doesn't need food to keep her stomach filled. Her eyes eat anything," Adrian said in a mocking tone and I knew what exactly he was referring to.
Adrian spoke dirty in the most decent way. One wouldn't understand him that easily.
"What do you mean by that? Come on Sophia, eat up," Alberto urged and I nodded my head.
"Sophia, is that you?" I heard a masculine voice call my name and I raised my head to see who it was.
