Lucas’s POV
“Absolutely not!” My mom says frantically in reaction to hearing my plan.
Part of my plan that is, not all of it, because I was absolutely sure that she was going to hit me if she hears the whole thing. So I had to hide some little details from her.
After I told everyone Angelina’s story, I saw how much they all sympathized with her, especially mom who started crying for her right away.
“Why not? It will all be an act, she will understand that once it’s over” I said rationally.
“Just tell her what you want to do, and ask for her permission” mom said strictly.
“I can’t do that! She’s a horrible liar and we can all attest to that. It won’t work if she knows” I argued.
“Then find another way” mom said flatly.
I rolled my eyes “There is no other way. That’s the best way to get the son of a bitch here and deep down, you know it”
“She’s been through enough Lucas! You cannot put her through this again. She’s been broken so many times already!” she said emotionally.
I try not to let her words affect me and sway my decision as I put on a cold mask of indifference and asked her “Don’t you want your son and daughter back here? Because the only way they can ever come back home, is if we kill Zade and the men closest to him. And the only way we can do that, is through her”
I know I hit a sore spot when I mentioned Alex and Jenny to her. Especially with them listening to everything right now through my phone.
Her face contorted in pain and she said emotionally “Alex, I want you both to come home right this second if the choice was mine, but….. The poor girl….she’ll think we gave up on her”
“Only for half an hour or so mom, then you can tell her everything, it won’t be for a whole week. Just half an hour until Lucas gets Zade to believe his intentions” said Alex forcefully.
I can tell he wasn’t a huge fan of my plan, but he knew as well as I do that it was our only option.
Mom lowers her head and closes her eyes in pain. Then she lifts it up again and nods her head once, stiffly.
I take that as my cue to start my plan right away as I get up, taking my phone with me as I speak hurriedly “Ok, I need to hang up now, I’ll call you once it’s over”
“Don’t go overboard with this” warned Alex.
Oh brother, if only you knew what I planned to do to get my point across, you’d beat the shit out of me.
“Sure, bro” I said confidently then hung up the phone.
I motioned for Mathew to come with me to the front door and said in a low voice “I need some duct tape”
“There is one in the last drawer in our kitchen” said Mathew gravely before he added “Do you want me to come with you?”
“No need, I can do this on my own, just keep anyone from interrupting” I said meaningfully, he nodded his head, understanding my hint.
I left the house and went over to the other one, unlocking the front door and locking it back again.
I entered the living room and found Angelina in the same spot I left her, on the armchair by the fire.
She was looking at me tensely, her eyes so red. She was probably crying the entire time I was gone. But she managed to wipe them all away as I couldn’t see any trace of it on her face.
Oh Angel, I’m afraid I’m going to have to make you cry again, a lot harder than before.

Angelina’s POV
As soon as I heard the front door unlock, I hurried to wipe all my tears away. I didn’t want to appear as vulnerable as I already was to him.
The second he stepped out of the house, I cracked wide open. Everything I tried to shove away in order to tell my story without breaking apart, came back flooding inside me, ripping me to pieces.
I watched Lucas’s face closely, trying to see anything that would indicate my fate with them, but he wasn’t giving me anything.
He turned around and headed inside a hallway leading to God knows where and disappeared for a few seconds.
He came back carrying a duct tape in his hand, and that was all the indication I needed.
I can’t even begin to describe how heart breaking it felt, being cast away and rejected because of who my father is.
Deep down, there was this flicker of hope inside of me that if no one stood up for me, believed me, I’ll always have that one person by my side, no matter what, and that was Diana.
But she apparently didn’t.
And that alone was the thing that crushed me the most.
He was standing right where he was before, by the entrance, gauging my reaction.
I tried to hold back my tears, tried not to shiver with fear as I asked him in a small voice “What are you going to do with that?”
He gave me a smug smile as he said darkly “I’m going to use it on you. And you’re going to be a good little girl and let me do it without putting up any fights”
His tone sent my heart racing against my rib cage.
What will he do after that? I was too afraid to ask him.
Instead I asked another one that was pressing on me “You didn’t believe me?” I asked vulnerably.
He tilted his head and said sarcastically “Are you really that surprised that we didn’t? you’re Zade’s daughter! Of course we didn’t! not even my mother did”
My tears went down streaming, while my heart caught on fire from that vicious flare he ignited with his words and tone.
I couldn’t say anything else, there was nothing left to say even.
I knew what I was getting myself into when I bared the truth to them. I knew there was a huge possibility I could end up dead…. Or worse. And I had a feeling that worse was about to happen shortly.
I should be fighting him, but my body was numb, for my soul was long gone.
He grabbed a wooden chair from around the dining table and brought it over to face the coffee table in the middle of the living room.
“Come sit here” he ordered strictly.
Without looking at him, I moved stiffly and sat there like he ordered.
He held my wrists behind the back of the chair and started wrapping the duct tape around them, trapping me in the chair. Then he moved to bind my legs to the each of the chair’s legs too.
I didn’t make a sound, I didn’t even sob, My flooding tears and trembling limbs were the only indication of my pain and fear of what’s to come.
He brought a piece of the duct tape over my mouth and covered it too.
I wondered why he needed to do that, especially when the only person I had hopes to protect me, gave up on me.
No one would stop him even if I screamed for hours.
He pulled out his phone, pointed the camera in my direction, and said excitedly “Say cheese to your father Angel. I’m going to show him a preview of what’s about to happen to you if he doesn’t video call me in the next fifteen minutes”
Then he started snapping pictures of me in different angles.
For the last picture, he hugged me from behind, and held a sharp, small, knife to my throat. I didn’t dare to breathe as I waited for the pain to come.
But without cutting me, he snapped a selfie of both of us.
“Let’s see if daddy dearest cares about his angel enough to come rescue her” he said sardonically with his eyes on his phone.
