Chapter 41: Leak Death News
Chapter 41: Leak Death News
Tony's anger boiled over, his thoughts darkening with a violent impulse towards Agatha. With bloodshot eyes, he glared fiercely at her, causing her to retreat three steps in fear. "Agatha, I regret ever loving you, I regret heeding your words, I regret defying Mr. Singers. I will not harm you. This is the end of my love for you," Tony declared before turning away, shoulders slumped and tears streaming down his face, walking away swiftly.
Agatha stood frozen, filled with regret for her actions. Overwhelmed with emotion, she cried out, "Mr. Singers, please don't die. I cannot bear to live without you."
As Mr. Singers was carefully placed in the helicopter, the engines roared to life, and the aircraft swiftly ascended towards Mr. Singers' mansion in Sunshine City. Agatha was left behind on the ship, abandoned and alone.
In Mr. Singer's mansion in Sunshine City, Andrea awoke from a terrible dream and found herself unable to fall back asleep. Concerned, she searched for Mr. Singer in his room only to come up empty-handed.
After checking on the sleeping Housekeeper Win, Andrea decided to wait for Mr. Singer in the living room, her anxiety palpable.
Housekeeper Win, who typically kept an eye on Andrea, was taken aback when she discovered Andrea sitting nervously in the living room.
"Ma'am Andrea, why are you here in the living room?" Housekeeper Win asked, her own anxiety rising at the sight of Andrea's distress.
"Mrs. Win, I can't seem to locate Mr. Singers," Andrea replied softly.
Relieved that Andrea's concern was about Mr. Singers and not related to any issues with her pregnancy, Housekeeper Win's own anxiety dissipated.
"Ma'am. Andrea, it's 1 am. Mr. Singers will be back before dawn. Let me fetch you a glass of warm milk; the weather is quite cold," Housekeeper Win said before making her way to the kitchen.
Returning with the prepared warm milk, she handed it to Andrea, urging her, "Ma'am Andrea, you should have more milk for the sake of your unborn baby."
Andrea nodded in agreement, taking a sip from the glass of warm milk before inquiring, "Mrs. Win, where did Mr. Singers go? I'm feeling quite anxious."
Housekeeper Win offered a reassuring smile and comforted Andrea, saying, "There's no need to worry, Ma'am Andrea. Mr. Singers is likely in a meeting with his client and will return soon."
As Housekeeper Win spoke, the sound of helicopter propellers could be heard from outside the house. Her smile grew brighter as she exclaimed, "Look, Mr. Singers is already back."
Andrea's heart skipped a beat as the glass of milk slipped from her hand, a sense of foreboding turning her face pale.
"Ma'am Andrea, please stay put. I'll fetch the dustpan and brush," Housekeeper Win urged before hurrying off.
Standing up, Andrea gazed intently at the door, the heavy footfalls outside growing louder.
With a sudden push, the double doors swung open, revealing Mr. Singers being carried in on a stretcher, his body drenched in blood.
"Mr. Singers!" Andrea cried out in terror, her heart racing as she rushed to his side.
As the stretcher was lowered to the floor, Andrea's eyes filled with tears at the sight of Mr. Singers, his complexion ghastly pale and covered in blood. Overwhelmed with panic, she screamed, "Someone, call an ambulance!"
Kneeling beside Mr. Singer, Andrea grasped his raised arm, offering reassurance. "Don't be afraid," she said softly, "help is on the way. You'll be okay."
A faint smile flickered across Mr. Singer's weathered face, his cracked lips parting as he spoke through the pain. "Andrea, my daughter... I'm sorry. Please forgive me."
Focused on his urgent need for medical attention, Andrea didn't dwell on the revelation that Mr. Singer was her father. "I forgive you," she repeated, her voice trembling with anxiety and tears.
As he reached out with his trembling hand to brush away her tears, Mr. Singer expressed his deep regret. "Andrea, I wish I had the courage to proclaim you and your mother to the world, to share my love for you both. I love you so much, Andrea."
Turning to the stunned Housekeeper Win, Andrea urgently commanded, "Call for an ambulance!"
Tony, standing nearby, assured them, "Help is on the way. The ambulance will be here soon."
Clutching Andrea's arm tightly, Mr. Singers implored, "Andrea, promise me that you will provide your unborn child with a complete family." He dreaded the thought of Andrea repeating his mistakes and ending up like him after her own failed marriage.
Tears welled up in Andrea's eyes as she whispered, "I promise."
"Andrea, will you call me daddy?" Mr. Singers suddenly requested.
"Daddy!" Andrea called out, her voice trembling with emotion.
A fleeting smile crossed Mr. Singers' face, but then his grip weakened, and Andrea's hand slipped from his grasp.
"Daddy, please don't leave me. Please, don't leave me," Andrea cried out in desperation as she shook Mr. Singers' still form.
As the ambulance pulled up to the mansion, Tony instructed Housekeeper Win, "Help her up."
Housekeeper Win sprang into action, assisting Andrea to her feet.
Tony and the others swiftly lifted the stretcher and carried it into the waiting ambulance.
"Let me go! I need to see my father," Andrea pleaded, struggling to break free from Housekeeper Win's hold.
Housekeeper Win, tears streaming down her face, responded anxiously, "Ma'am Andrea, please don't panic. Mr. Singers will be okay."
Ignoring Housekeeper Win's plea, Andrea turned to her personal chauffeur and urgently requested, "Please take me to the hospital. I need to see my father."
"Ma'am Andrea, let me go get the car keys," the chauffeur said as he hurried off. When he returned with the keys, Andrea was already rushing towards the car.
"Ma'am Andrea, please slow down. Remember, you're pregnant," Housekeeper Win reminded her, concerned for the safety of Andrea's unborn child.
"Hurry up!" Andrea shouted impatiently at the chauffeur, who was struggling to keep up with her frantic pace.
