Chapter 506: He Won’t Lift A Finger For You
Chapter 506: He Won’t Lift A Finger For You
A worried look finally appeared on Skylar’s calm face. Her brows drew together.
It had been a while, and the killer still hadn’t sent any update.
Did something go wrong? No. That was impossible.
Dealing with Reece shouldn’t take this long—she had spent a lot of money to make sure of that.
Skylar began pacing the room, restless.
Then her phone buzzed.
A message popped up from the killer: “It’s done. Please send the rest of the payment.”
Attached was a photo of Reece lying in a pool of blood.
Skylar quickly covered her eyes with one hand when she saw the disturbing photo. But then, a slow smile crept across her face. Moments later, she burst into laughter.
No one would ever find out about her secret with Reece now.
Everything was going exactly how she wanted.
An hour later, the killer sent another message. He said the body was sealed in a metal barrel and dropped into the sea, just like she told him.
Skylar felt satisfied. She sent the rest of the payment, deleted the messages, and leaned back calmly.
Just then, the clouds shifted, and sunlight poured down, lighting up her nightgown.
She casually fixed her hair, like Reece’s death meant nothing to her.
To her, death was normal. One more or one less didn’t matter.
She smirked and muttered softly, “Bianca, just wait. I’ll win in the end. Everyone hates you now. Without Dave, your company would have crashed by now.”
A good name seemed like nothing, but it could destroy everything.
Skylar turned on her computer. She noticed that the news about Bianca had died down. It was obvious Dave was behind it.
She wasn’t happy about that.
So, she paid people to bring the topic back into the spotlight.
She knew Dave had his own problems.
Lucas’s pressure was making things hard for his business.
Her digging showed that Lucas was pushing hard, no matter the cost.
He clearly wanted Dave back at Evans Group, running things like before.
Skylar figured it wouldn’t take long before Dave’s company started to fall apart. And when that happened, Bianca wouldn’t be able to help. She’d only make things worse for him.
Thinking about it made Skylar smile even more.
Everything was falling into place, and the upper hand was now hers.
She just needed to push things a little harder. Then she’d see if Dave still chose Bianca without thinking twice.
Skylar was sure he’d come to his senses soon—and pick her instead.
When that happened, she’d be his wife. Every woman would envy her.
“Finally, it’s almost here…” she whispered.
Feeling happy, Skylar changed into something nice and headed out for a relaxing spa day.
After pampering herself, she planned to stop by Bianca’s company—just to mock her face-to-face.

The afternoon sun poured through the windows, casting long shadows as Bianca rushed inside.
At the front desk, someone sat calmly like a cat. It was Skylar. She wore large sunglasses that covered most of her face, but the smug smile was hard to miss.
“Well, well, well,” Skylar said slowly. “No greeting for an old friend? I heard your company’s falling apart. Is it going bankrupt?”
Bianca felt sick to her stomach.
This heartless woman had the nerve to show up here and mock her like this.
It was sickening.
Bianca kept her expression calm and gave a polite smile before heading to her office.
"Hey! Don’t walk away from me!" Skylar snapped, her voice sharp and loud. "How can you act so calm? I did my homework. You can’t afford that huge settlement! Your company’s bleeding money..."
Bianca stopped and replied flatly, "My business isn’t your concern."
Skylar yanked off her sunglasses, clearly annoyed. “You’ve got potential, Bianca. That’s why I see you as a rival. But let’s face it—your time’s almost up. You’re falling apart, grabbing at anything to stay afloat. Even Dave, maybe?”
Bianca didn’t show a single emotion. Her blank face only made Skylar more annoyed.
"Even Dave’s in serious trouble now," Skylar pushed, her tone full of cruel delight. "He won’t lift a finger for you, even if you begged him. You don’t deserve him. Just look at yourself—you’re a sad version of who you used to be. Not good enough for him at all."
Skylar anticipated that Bianca would break down.
But instead, she caught a quick flash of sadness in Bianca’s eyes. It disappeared just as fast.
"Hope you get everything you want," Bianca smiled at her.
With that, she walked right past Skylar and entered the company. Skylar stood there, confused.
What did she mean by that? Did Bianca already tell Dave something? Were they not on good terms?
Skylar’s phone buzzed.
A headline about Bianca and Dave popped up on her screen.
Now Skylar was sure. Bianca’s reaction after hearing Dave's name wasn’t just for show.
There was really a problem between them. People were already talking about a breakup after a fight.
As she kept scrolling, more stories popped up. They all hinted that the breakup had something to do with the lawsuit.
Skylar’s lips curled into a smug smile. She was now sure she had beaten Bianca.
She looked up at Bianca’s company. A cold smile formed on her face.
Soon, Bianca would lose this place. And she’d lose Dave too. He was never meant for Bianca. He was always meant for her.
Skylar muttered, “Losing to me isn’t something to be ashamed of.”
Then she walked off slowly, like a predator going back to its den.
That evening at the Evans mansion, Skylar made tea for Lucas.
“Did you see the news?” she asked with a pleased tone. “Bianca’s finished.”
Lucas had seen the news. The rumors about Bianca and Dave’s breakup were spreading fast.
A cold smile tugged at his lips.
The proud woman was finally facing the consequences. She could’ve lived in comfort with five billion, but her greed ruined everything.
Everything was going better than expected.
Lucas knew his grandson well. Trouble always made Dave sharper.
“Do you think Dave will come back to the family soon?” Skylar asked, pretending to care.
Lucas reached out and gently patted her hand. He was about to respond when his phone buzzed.
He looked at the screen and his eyes widened. It was Dave.
He quickly answered and a big smile spread across his face.
