Broken

Alpha Derick's POV

I felt anger burning in me while I walked out of the cell. Angrily, I walked back to the mansion and was about to take the stairs back to my room when Anthony called out my attention.

I turned to his directions but didn't say a word in reply, but he knew I wanted him to speak. ''I don't wish to question your orders, but as your Beta it's Only right that I advise you if the need be.'' ''Go straight to the point.'' I spoke angrily and impatiently.

I could tell Anthony was nervous by the way he hesitated for a moment. ''Don't you think you should rethink your decision,'' He asked, unsure. I groaned and took a deep breath before speaking up, ''Do you think I wish to kill any member of my pack? Do you think it's easy for me when people would start calling me names.'' I asked angrily.

''I didn't ….''

'''Don't cut me off.'' I yelled. Quickly, he nodded his head.

''I have tried everything to see reasons with this girl, even the moon goddess knew how hard I tried to do this the simple way, but she is too stubborn and hot-headed, which leaves me with no choice but this.'' I yelled. ''Right now everyone is seeing me as a wicked and cruel Alpha, but none is considering what I'm going through, no one is considering the fate of this pack if our enemies get to know I'm without a wolf or abilities'' I yelled angrily, which made my Beta took a few steps away from me.

''No more words, I don't want to hear any more words from you, this is my decision, and it's final'' After saying those words, I angrily took the stairs back to my room.

Everyone was seeing me as the bad person, but no one knows the feeling of losing its wolf and staying empty.

Goddess knows I've tried my best, but she wouldn't agree to it, so her death is the only solution.

I walked past a few rooms before getting to my room. Furiously, I opened the door and stepped in.

The moment I stepped into the room, I noticed a female servant standing beside my dressing mirror with trembling hands and feet.

I moved my gaze away from her and caught sight of pieces of broken bottles on the floor. The moment I took notice of the broken bottle, my eyes were filled with anger. ''What have you done.'' I asked in a thundering tone, which made my voice echo in the room.

Quickly, she fell on her knees and buried her head to the floor. ''Please forgive me alpha, I was arranging your stuff, and then It mistakenly slipped off my hands.'' She wept in a trembling voice.

I looked at the broken pieces of spray Emma gave to me just two days ago. Everything was shattered on the floor while the fragrance filled the entire room.

''Please have mercy on me.'' She begged in fear.

I moved my gaze from the broken pieces, fixed them on her, and could see she was shivering with fear. ''Get out.'' The moment I said those words, she stood up on her feet and rushed towards the door, but I stopped her. ''And who is going to clean this mess.'' I demanded angrily.

''I'm so sorry.'' She rushed for the sweeper, swept the pieces and hurriedly left the room.

Sighing heavily, I sat on the bed and could still perceive the scent all over the room.

The broken spray bottle wasn't my problem, although I knew Emma would make a problem out of it, I wasn't actually bothered about it.

A knock on my door was heard before it was slightly opened.

Walking in, was James, who had no expression on his face.

''Why are you here,'' I asked, even though I knew his reason. James didn't say a word in reply, but rather he walked to my couch and sat on it. There was a moment of silence between us before James spoke up. ''What's going on.'' He asked.

Sighing softly, I took off my shoes and shirt and was left with just my Jean.

''Derick.'' He called out when he noticed I wasn't going to reply.

''This is bigger than you might think.'' I said those words and stood up from the bed while I took off my jeans, and was left with my underwear. ''You are not going kill her, right, I know you are joking.''

''I'm not.'' I replied quickly without thinking about it. ''This is ridiculous.'' James spoke angrily and stood on his feet.

''I still don't get it. You are sentencing her to death because you feel she used charms on you.'' James asked in disbelief.

I knew it would be hard for him to understand, since I refused to explain the whole situation to him.

''Like I said earlier, this is bigger than you might think. I spoke in anger.

James moved away from the couch and took few steps towards me.

''What you are doing is wrong, drastically wrong.'' He warned.

Ignoring him, I sat back on the bed but didn't say a word.

''Not only have you changed, but you've totally become a different person.''he yelled and walked out of my room.

Sighing heavily, I roughly scattered my hair as I thought of James' words, and indeed he was right. Since I turned eighteen, I've been a different person, which sometimes surprises me.

I heard a soft knock on my door, which angered me.

''Come in.''

The door opened, and a female servant walked in and stood by the door with her head lowered to the ground.

''Greetings Alpha, I'm here to wash….''

''Get out.'' The tone of my voice made the servant flip in fear before she rushed out of the room.

Groaning angrily, I collapsed on the bed with my stomach, closed my eyes and forced myself to sleep despite how early the night was.

A strong headache woke me up from my sleep, it felt like my head was pounding with pain.

Quickly, I opened my eyes and sat on the bed while I held my head with my both hands. ''Mate.'' My wolf howled in anger.

The moment I heard him, my heart fluttered with joy. ''Eric.'' I called out happily to my wolf, but he growled angrily for a while, which caused a severe pain in my head. ''Stop it, you will blow off my brains.'' I spoke angrily, but at the same time I was happy.

''Mate.'' He howled again.

I exclaimed in pain and gently massaged my forehead while getting on my feet.

''Mate.'' He cried out with so much pain, which made me wonder what was going on.

My wolf vanished for two days, and now he is back and acting weird.

''Mate.'' He whimpered in pain, causing great aches to me.

Not able to endure the pain, I picked up my phone and dialed Emma's number to know what was actually wrong with her, since my wolf had been calling for her.

''Hey baby boo.'' She greeted me happily the moment the call was picked.

''Mate.'' My wolf howled in my head, which made me groan out in pain.

''Are you okay.'' She asked over the phone when she heard my loud groan

''Yeah.'' I quickly replied. ''Let me call you back.'' I did not wait for her reply before I quickly ended the call and screamed in pain.

I collapsed on the floor and held my head tightly with my both hands.

''Mate.'' my wolf howled loudly.

Quickly, I closed my eyes and made a mind link message to Anthony to come to my recuse while I kept groaning in pain.

Within a minute, I noticed the door of my room open and Anthony came rushing in. ''Alpha.'' He called out to me. ''Go to the cell and check on her.'' I grumbled.

He lowered his head in respect and quickly left the room.

The howling in my head felt unbearable for me, it felt like my head was going to explode. Few minutes later, he rushed in and said, ''She is fine and still in her cell.'' Anthony said those words through telepath, so my wolf could clearly hear it.

The moment he heard those words from Anthony, he howled loudly for a moment and settled down. Tiredly, I took in a deep breath and stood on my feet.

''Are you okay.''he asked.

I ignored his questions and sat on the bed while I went into deep thoughts.

My wolf was finally back, but he doesn't recognize Emma as his mate, but rather Victoria.

''Seems you've gotten back your wolf.'' Anthony said while giving me a quizzical look. ''And I can feel his anger in the entire room. Alpha, something is wrong.'' He added.

Hearing his words, I left the bed and stood before my window.

''You said I can only get back my wolf if the charms are destroyed, or she is killed.''

''That's correct,'' My beta responded.

''And that means the charms are destroyed.'' He added.

I thought for a while and turned around to him, ''Then why does my wolf see her as his mate and not Emma?'' I asked, confused.
